Window World of Rochester

This company will lie and deceive you until the very end. I gave them $3500 and 3 months only for the installers to tell me my windows were the wrong size and I needed to start the process all over again. I called multiple times and each time they lied about dates and times just to get me off the phone. So after threats of showing up to their office to meet with “the boss” did anything get done. I’d still be waiting if I didn’t take action. After reading the rest of the reviews I guess I’m not the only one. I actually just met someone who used to worked for them and they are telling me that the office has not had any changes and that the same management is still in place. So the response they give about their management is another lie. DONT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THESE SCAM ARTISTS! My fist call was 6/21 and no windows till 11/10/21

Most recently, no call and no show for an appointment. Previous business with them was a delay for installation and were told it was due to an unorganized warehouse and not knowing what they had stock. It was rescheduled and again no call no show. We called them and they told us the truck broke to find out once they did show 2 days later we were told by the driver, that was not true and they had to tell us that.

Very unprofessional...I called and made an appointment for a Sales Rep. to meet me to discuss all window replacements and plans. He called and said that his truck was in the shop for a recall to fix it. I told him to please let me know when the truck is done to come out. he said he would. Never heard from him and I left a message at the office. no one returned my call. I went with another provider who was very responsive to me. Window World of Rochester lost my business....

I left several messages and none were ever returned. I have finally moved on to find a different company.

It took 16 weeks for the door to be delivered to the company and then installed at my house. This was much longer than they had promised me. Then when the door was finally delivered and an installment date was set, they canceled at the last minute and I had to reschedule. The installers were personable but lacked some professionalism (eg, did not introduce themselves, were arguing with each other at times). They did not have all the needed equipment with them and had to return two days later to finish the job. When the office manager tried to put my credit card through, she kept putting in the wrong expiration date. She called me to say my card wasn't going through. I called my credit card company and they told me she was putting in the current month's numbers rather than the actual expiration date. I had to call her back and ask her to put in the correct expiration date and my card went right through. I was very disappointed in the customer service of this company although their products are acceptable as far as I can tell.

The sales person was not pressured. Gave options and we made our choice quickly. Shceduled delivery nad installation was as promised. The installer was professional, quick and cleaned up afterward.

Called for an estimate in July. Salesman came on a Saturday and measured. Gave me the estimate. I made a deposit for the windows. I had to make a second appointment with the installer to take a measurement (using 1/2 day vacation). He wouldn't accept the first person's measurements, even thoughthey were exactly the same. Said they would call me when the windows were in (4 weeks). After 6 weeks I called them. An appointment was set for the following week. Need to take another vacation day because they don't install on weekends, That date was cancelled at the last minute because another customer's job was rain delayed. I guess they only have 1 installer??? I called for another appointment and the woman in the office gave me a Saturday appointment! That morning, the salesman called an hour before the appointment and asked if it was "block windows I needed an estimate for?" I told him it was an installation I was waiting on. He said they don't install on Saturdays. I finally got a call 3 days later from another person and set up an appointment then (another vacation day used). It took 2 months to get 2 lousy windows installed? With all the window companies in the Rochester area, one would think the customer service would be better.

The window was supposed to be delivered in 4 weeks and I was told that Window World would contact me upon delivery to their warehouse. 4 weeks came and went with no contact, so I called them. They said that the original window had come in with a crack in it, so they sent it back. However, they never contacted me to tell me this! I was not happy! We set up a new delivery date and the window came in on time...and the installers came on time. They installed it post-haste, but didn't bother to clean off the streaks left from shipping. I had to do that myself, but the window looked great. About two months later, I was sitting in my den next to the new window when I heard a gunshot and I ducked! It wasn't a gunshot, it was the window..it cracked for no apparent reason. I called Window World and they said that the window had been installed too tightly and that extreme temperature changes can cause cracking. In fairness, I will say that the temps in Rochester had gone from the 40's to the single digits in one day. Window World did order a new window and replaced it for free within about a month and it's been fine since then. I'm sorry that I can't give a glowing report for this company...I'm sure they mean well but they seem rather inept.

Window World of Rochester sent a crew that was not prepared to fix the windows correctly. We have been waiting for two months and they have not come back to fix the window sills. They misrepresented themselves by telling me all their workers were qualified.

I recommend Window World to everyone. I keep telling all my friends to hire them. My sister used them first and told me about it. They were wonderful to hire. I am very happy with them.

The workers from Window World that came to do the work were bad mouthing the company. I later heard that they no longer work there. The installers weren't positive, but the boss and salesman were very nice. The windows they installed are high quality.

We were very satisfied with Window World. The sales representative was informational, helpful and friendly. We got other estimates, but we had a good feeling about the Window World rep. It is a service-oriented company. An overall great experience.
