He changed an exterior light on the front porch which required some additional work. He had to reseat the junction box so the new light would hang properly. He was punctual and arrived as scheduled. He was courteous and went straight to work. My only disappointment was only having one light changed for the price.

The work was fine but the pricing was not so much. The deal called for 2 hours of work for $99. He came out and it took him 2 hours and 45 minutes to do the job and gave me a bill for $582 and took $200 off. When I asked him about it, he said that they don’t actually work by the hour, they work by the job. They didn’t tell me this ahead of time. They wanted me to pay cash because they don’t take credit cards. I just told them that I’ll write the check whether they like it or not and they agreed to take the check. When he wrote it off, I thought he had itemized it to take a look and see what it was exactly that he had spent and what the extra cost was but he had written off extensively that he had rewired and removed but basically for materials, he had used 2 gang boxes and about 8 feet of wire. There was no breakdown on it. I called him up to tell him that I thought it was broken down. I told him I was a little unhappy about that. He told me that the job was kind of more complicated that they would have actually charged more. There were no expensive parts. I’m pretty sure he’s a one man band. I didn’t feel that it was much of a bargain when he took $200 off. The work was fine. He was late both times but he called on both times. If in fact he is just relating what the office is telling him, which I don’t actually believe is the case. If he is just an employee that is implementing something that is being told to him, then the fact that their crappy policy doesn’t really should reflect on him. A lot of the prices, regardless of what’s involved, are pre-determined. Before you have them do anything, find out exactly what the prices are going to be or what’s going on with the prices.

He did a good job installing the lights. We had a misunderstanding about the total costs, but he was responsive and we were satisfied with the outcome.

I purchased a Big Deal for 2 hours of service. The contractor refused to perform the services on an hourly basis. He insisted that he would perform services only based on a "rate for service" schedule. I had 5 or 6 very small tasks to be performed. They could easily have been completed in less than the two hours I purchased. However, if each task was priced individually based on the schedule, it would have amounted to far more than the $99 I paid. The contractor was very rude and told me to go back to Angie's List and get a refund. So I did.

Much of our electrical work had been done by a previous owner without experience. Hazardous circuits, arcing, etc. resulted. We needed two new panels and much rewiring. Brian went about his work quietly, professionally, asking questions and offering solutions.

I called for an emergency visit as I was very worried that my dryer threw sparks and 2 circuit breakers when plugging it in. Brian was here within 30 minutes ( I was lucky on the timing as he was headed my way) He even gave me a discount as an Angie's list member, even though it was an emergency call.

He was great! He came here while on vacation to fix the outlet. He was able to answer a lot of questions my husband had about previous work we had done. We are planning on hiring him again.

It was okay. He tried to sell me a bunch of stuff. He quoted me a bunch of stuff and I ended up buying some of it. I haven’t had any issues since the service was done.

Brian called me to let me know he was going to be about 15 minutes late because the roads were bad; which I appreciated and did not mind since I was running approximately 15 minutes behind. I had a list of items I wanted to get done and purchased the fixtures with the exception of the surge protector which I decided to do that day. I did not know if he would have time to complete the tasks I had in mind but he got in done which took about 2.5 hours. Brian was very professional and gave me an estimate for another job. I rated his price good because I don't have a comparison to rate it higher.....

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. I thought he did a good job, he came on time and seemed very knowledgeable and he did fix the problems that day and did stay and fixed everything that he fixed which was good. I think it was an afternoon schedule. That was good at least from my stand point. Not a whole lot of downsides. I thought he was a little bit pricey but other than that that's the way it is. He did do a lot of work and he did explain to me that there was an issue with the Angie's List Big Deal which basically listed it as, I forget. He said basically the way he does his job he prices the job and no matter how long it takes that's what he charges. So it kind of didn't fit but what he did was he just prices it out so he did it without the coupon and then took the coupon value off. It worked out fine. It wasn't a big deal to me. I think he was thinking it was a bigger deal than I did. He had to do a lot of restoration work in the front of the house with the rewiring and drilling the holes and fishing a line and so on and so forth.

I purchased 2 hours of electrical labor for $99. After rescheduling because they had triple-booked the original appointment time, the electrician spent about 3 hours at my home. Although relatively little was accomplished, the total charge for the visit was $526. That figure included just one part: a surge protector that Home Depot sells for $69.97. I was charged $199. The electrician told me they paid more. (Since when do contractors pay more than general customers? I notice from other reviews that this same installation was done for many. I suspect Unlimited bought it in bulk and is urging it on most of its customers.) The electrician was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. But I felt the "deal" offered through Angie's List was no deal at all. It simply got the company in the door. Their mistake, however, was to overcharge for the first visit and provide inflated estimates for future work. For example, they provided a quote of $765 - excluding the light fixture, drywall repair and repainting - to install a light over my dining room table. Additional note: I had arranged, before getting the bill, for this same contractor to return a week later to install a vent hose for my dryer. Although this appointment was also postponed for a day, he did return (two hours later than the scheduled time) and performed the work satisfactorily. Total cost: $416. NOTE: Long after I posted this review, the contractor posted a response saying that all charges were approved by me beforehand. That simply is not true. I purchased a "deal" through Angie's List and was stunned to see how much higher the bill was. Beware dealings with this firm. Billing is not straightforward.

A pleasant expedience. Obviously Brian is very experienced. I will use him again.

Brian was very thorough and professional and we were quite pleased with his work, and his willingness to explain everything completely. We had an unrelated issue after he left and he came back the next day to check on it; then, he called to make sure everything was working. We really appreciated that level of customer service and plan to contact Brian for future electrical work.

Brian was very knowledgeable and helpful. We are in the process of renovating our house, and he provided excellent advice. He went through our entire electrical set up, and we will soon have him back to fix some of the issues he identified. While he was here, he ran power to a switch and installed 2 light fixtures. We are extremely pleased with his work. He is also the first electrician we have ever known of to clean up after he is done! We strongly recommend using Unlimited Electric, and we will be using them again soon!

Unlimited electrical arrived a few minutes before scheduled appointment and was prepared to work at scheduled appointment time with tools in hand. Problem was described and repair work proceeded. Two wall switches were replaced and testing indicated that the problem was now fixed. Panel box was reviewed and suggestions offered to replace and update amp service to house to meet the present needs of house electrical needs. Quote would be written if desired. Quote was requested and provided.

The provider stated the offer was not as listed, that it was for $200 worth of services, not two hours of labor. He acknowledged when I scheduled to work that it would have to begin at 3 to allow for two hours as they closed at 5. He arrived between 4:30 and 5 and then couldn't do the work. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. He was at the home for about ten minutes.

Brian Post performed the work. He showed up shortly before 9am (our scheduled appointment time); looked over the scope of the work I wanted done and immediately got started. It was during the initial inspection of the breaker box that he suggested a whole house surge protector, gave me an installed price that was very reasonable. Performed the complete installation flawlessly. It was a pleasure working with a master electrician vs. an installer. I'll keep Brian's card handy for any future electrical projects I have!

Brian stayed an extra half hour but didn't charge me extra.

Put in some plugs, a whole house surge protecter, and a generator transfer switch. Brian (owner) showed up on time (which I sometimes think is a miracle.) He is a master electrician and his work was very neat.

He was great, and also did some other things for us that helped us out lots!

It went very well. He was efficient. Gave us a sense of confidence the way he worked and kept the electricty on so that he could better assess what the problem was. The price was at the high end of normal but Brian was a master electrician e and my belief is that you pay for an excellent quality of work.

Brian contacted me right away and we made an appt. He was very professional and even called to let me know when he was running a few minutes late on our appt. date. We talked about my lights and he was done within an hour. He was great!

He showed up on time, did the work neatly, cleaned up after himself, gave excellent advice about possible future work. It was expensive, but I feel we received quality work.

Brian from Unlimited Electric was very helpful, but also a very busy man. His Saturdays are quite booked up and that is the only day I can be available at my home. Unable to assist me before Nov. 23, 2013, the first opening he had, I preferred someone who could do the job before then. Thank you.
