Incredibly well! We live in a 72 year old home. Our kitchen, living and dining room ceilings are long. There were two stress cracks in the living room ceiling, one in the dining room and kitchen. Vinnie is top-notch in all areas! 1. Punctual...said he would be here at 9:30 AM. Yes, right on the dot. 2. Personality...very professional and yet friendly. 3. Polite...asked if he could play his radio quietly. He could. 4. Clean...truck was spotless on the outside. First indicator to me that he would take care with the work. He presented himself quite well! 5. Beautiful results! He saw that the ceiling had been repaired before. Saw how deep the cracks were. No problem! He explained his process and materials and how they would solve our issues for many years to come. Vinnie was a pleasure to work with. No wasted time. Beautiful results. Will definitely call him again is other ceilings need to be repaired. Vinnie and his work are Top-Notch!

We hired Top Notch Drywall & Plaster Repair after a roof leak (and the resulting water damage) left us with a nearly two foot hole in our ceiling. We couldn’t be happier with the result. Vincent was right on time and had the job completed within two hours. Moreover, the texture on the repair perfectly matches the texture of the ceiling. You would never know we had a hole there just two hours ago. We would certainly hire Top Notch Drywall & Plaster Repair again and would highly recommend them to everyone.

Vince was here earlier than scheduled (very punctual) and completed the work on time. Despite running into some issues behind the old drywall, he was still able to complete the work at a fair price. Definitely recommend Top Notch to anyone needing their services.

Vinnie just completed some work at our house. He did a great job! We had a large hole in our plaster ceiling from a roof leak. We also wanted the textured ceiling taken down in that room. Vinnie came over and gave us a quote. He pointed out that there was more damage than just the ceiling. Two of the walls had developed cracks as well. We scheduled the work for two weeks later. Vinnie cut out the damaged plaster and replaced it with drywall. After removing the textured ceiling, he found more cracks that were hidden by it. It was probably why someone put the textured ceiling up in the first place. Although the original work was planned for two days, the additional cracks required another day to repair. Vinnie was able to rearrange his schedule to fit us in the following day. It was a real pleasure working with Vinnie. He knows what he’s doing. He put plastic down to protect our hardwood floors on the first day. He showed up right on time and worked the entire time he was there. I thought for sure this was a two person project. He completed all the work by himself. He also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. If I ever need plaster or drywall work in the future, Vinnie is the one I’ll call!

Top Notch is aptly named! I had a crack in my ugly popcorn ceiling in my stair hallway... and it just kept spreading and cracking - was ready to collapse. Vincent came out immediately to provide an estimate. He removed the popcorn ceiling and put up fresh drywall. He was such a pleasure. Polite, professional, and extremely neat! He was also very kind. He took care of my house! Highly recommend. (Plan on rehiring as I am seeing a crack in my dining room!) Thank you Vincent!

I found Vinnie on the Angies List website and was impressed with his reviews. I had a cathedral ceiling in my living room with permanent cracking along the peak, as well as several seams which were beginning to show from panels that were 'dropping.' I also had a very poorly replaced panel in my kitchen where an overhead leak occurred years ago from a cracked water pipe from the upstairs bath. A handyman fixed the leak at that time and replaced and patched the ceiling hole, but he did a poor job in matching the existing texture, so the repair stuck out like a sore thumb. I contracted Vinnie to fix both issues. He reinforced the loose ceiling panels with screws and repatched all the bad seams, matching the existing texture in both the living room and the kitchen; he was originally contracted to paint both ceilings, as well. He did such a great job that the patchwork in both cases was virtually undetectable from the rest of the ceiling. We mutually came to the conclusion that a complete paint re-do was unnecessary, which saved me literally one third of my original estimate. This worked to both our satisfaction because, due to a death in his family and then a sudden illness, we lost 2 days of our original 3-day contract period needed to complete the job. This was the only downside to my experience using Vinnie. When you are a one-man business, sometimes things like this happen and delays can occur; fortunately, my schedule was flexible enough to make the adjustment to work into an extra day. As far as Vinnie's work itself, his clean-up afterwards, his professionalism, and his friendly demeanor, I have to say that even with that schedule snag, I give him a solid A. I would DEFINITELY use him again. I am extremely pleased with the results!

A few years back we had an ice dam "take out" the family room's western wall (kitchen is on the opposite side of that wall). In the process, water seeped into kitchen's ceiling area -- between the structural cement covering the bottom of the 2nd floor's sub-floor and the layer of "textured" plaster covering that cement (sub-floor above, layer of cement, textured plaster serving as "decorative ceiling"). I "convinced" the water to exit the kitchen by boring a one-inch hole in the ceiling beneath the "water bubble" in the decorative plaster (no, it did not break through) and used a rolling pin to direct accumulated water into the hole and -- into an awaiting bucket. Between late-afternoon ice thawing and early-evening re-freezing on the roof, five days-worth of rolling pin activity kept the kitchen dry until all the roof snow had melted; the ceiling plaster layer remained intact, but developed "hair-line" cracks in some areas between the family room wall and light fixture. The 1" hole remained operational for two years (just in case), but eventually became an eye-sore. Meanwhile, the walk-in shower above the kitchen had earlier developed a leak that was difficult to locate. Rather than "pull" the ceiling down to see if it was a pressure leak problem, we re-sealed the shower floor's internal margins and waited. When we were certain the water seeping into the kitchen was no longer a problem, we called Vincent for an estimate. Vincent convinced me that simply patching the hole I had drilled, "light" cracks in the plaster, and the larger opening under the shower, would serve only as a temporary fix and recommended removing the "sheet" of semi-attached, but loose, plaster that had earlier served as a directional carrier for the water coming in between it and the cement ceiling above it. We discussed a price and a time -- two visits involved, one to prepare and re-plaster, one to repaint. In short -- which this is not -- Vincent arrived precisely on time both days and did the work. At the end of each day he washed the floor and cleaned plaster fragments from the previously-emptied counters. Vincent is an amiable young man who clearly knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work. I learned a lot about textured kitchen ceilings in 1950s era houses in this part of the country, and my wife and I now have a kitchen ceiling that ts flawless and uniform in color and texture. (Texturing wet plaster to match the "swirl effect" of old plaster is an art I have yet to master -- Vincent, however, does this extremely well). If you have a ceiling that needs a bit of work -- touch up or complete renovation -- I'd recommend giving Vincent a call. (I neglected to take a "before" photograph, sorry). I would definitely have him work for us again.

Vinnie arrived exactly when he said he would. He had to cut a 7" diameter circle in the ceiling to remove the damaged area of drywall, then patched and textured the area. He did an amazing job; once it's dry and painted, we won't be able to tell it had ever been patched. Vinnie was prompt, efficient, respectful and courteous. I would highly recommend Vinnie/ Top Notch Drywall Repair.

Vince St. George is knowledgeable and skilled. He provided a detailed written estimate. He completed the work on the scheduled day(s). He was responsive via email and text. He was flexible as the situation changed. The work he did (in several different rooms) was of high quality. He works alone and is efficient. He cleans up after himself. All in all a professional job.

INCREDIBLE JOB!!!!! WE got 4 other estimates before we chose who we were going to use. And Vinnie was a no brainer to use to complete the work for us. WE are SO glad he did the work. Incredibly clean, always on time, love his corners he did on the walls and ceiling. He even tore down a wall for us after the electrician we used made a mistake. He was calm, competent and friendly. It's amazing he does it all on his own and in a great timely manner too. DON'T USE ANYONE ELSE. He already knows he's got two more jobs with us...a bathroom and a porch will be next to do a full remodel tear down again. Oh yea....we have a lot of corners in the kitchen area and it was amazing how they all turned out. The room does not even look the same, total transformation. Took his business cards to work and recommended him to friends and family already!!!! ; -)

Selected Top Notch Drywall & Plaster to repair old damage to a section of our ceiling and recent water damage to the back wall of the room. The ceilings in our house are plaster with a sand finish that other contractors could not replicate, offering instead to tear down and put up drywall or make it smooth and "feather it in". We wanted to preserve the look as the damage was not to the whole room. Vinnie completed the work as promised, with the ceiling matching the rest of the room and the wall damage completely repaired. Vinnie was careful and neat, leaving just a little bit of plaster on the hardwood floors of our room (a couple of small spots). Not a big deal to clean since I had to wash the floors after having work done in the room. My husband and I think Vinnie did a great job, was a great guy and knows his craft. We plan on having him come back and do other repair work in our house. Good work = repeat business. We had received quotes from six contractors offering a variety of ways to fix the ceiling and wall. As for pricing - Vinnie's was right in the middle - not the highest and not the lowest. If you have a sand finish to your ceiling, Vinnie is the guy to have come in a replicate it. He knows what he is doing.

I didn't want to struggle with drywall on a ceiling and I knew how hard it was going to be to handle an old, out of true, wall with 4 outlets. Vinnie had the drywall panels cut and screwed into place the first day. I wondered how he could possibly get the seams taped with a rough coat of mud and then smooth coat and clean up everything in ONE day. Did not think it could be done well. He came with two or three bags of dry mix instead of the usual premixed joint compound. One was 20 minutes and another 5 minutes. Meaning they would be hard and dry in 20 or 5 minutes. Anyone can buy the dry mix, but it takes a lot of experience to make the mix, work it into place and repeat that process till the whole job is done. You have to tape a lot of seams to get the muscle memory of how to lay the mud onto the wall or ceiling, fill the gap and leave it smooth for the next coat. I checked in the afternoon of the second day and he was putting the final, super thin finish coat of compound. Everything was done. Before he finished, Vinnie went over the entire job with a damp sponge to clean off any dust and make the surfaces ready for paint. 2 days and the room was drywalled and ready for paint. Very nice!

Due to drying time of plaster, this project continued over three days. Vinnie and his associate arrived on time each day as promised. They prepped the area so that debris was kept at a minimum.. They kept us informed as they went about their work.. They removed all debris, tools and cleaned up when done. The work was done quickly and was only a minor inconvenience to us. They were very courteous and professional. The project was done at a fair and reasonable price. I requested a quote on additional work as well. We would use them again without hesitation.
