Description of Work: Replaced inducer (spelling?) motor. Furnace was installed in 1998, and this was the first repair that it has needed. Repair was done without incident. I have used this company since 2008 and now contract (since 2009) with them to do my yearly maintenance on both my furnace and air conditioner. I find them to be reliable and fair. I would give them an A+.

 + -1 moreThis team was excellent every step of the way. They were great about returning phone calls; showed up when they said they would. They did a tremendous amount of work in one day, installing new venting, a new thermostat, cleaning up ductwork in addition to the new furnace. They had all the tax documents ready for us to submit for the tax credit, and left the place neat and clean when work was done.

 + -1 moreThe heat pump failed resulting in a high electricity bill [We have all-electric heating in Perinton.] because of the full-time operation of the auxiliary heater in the air handler. However, the blower motor started to fail on a weekend so the system had to be turned off. We relied on some space heaters from friends for a few days. We contacted several local companies with high Angie's List and Better Business Bureau ratings. All provided prompt estimates. Although Feldman was $126 higher than the next one, they were able to install the system the next day. The other company couldn't install it until a week later, a long time to wait without heat in the winter! The crew from Feldman was Frank, Russ, Rick, Wayne, and Angus. They were professional, friendly, and prompt. It was no simple task to replace the entire system, but they did it in a day. They also didn't mind while I watched, asked questions, and took photos.
Description of Work: Replacement of a 17 year-old heat pump and 27 year-old air handler. We replaced the entire system because of its age. We also found out about a $1500 tax credit for new HVAC systems when the met certain energy efficiency requirements.

 + 0 moreI was pleased with the people from Feldman that I dealt with. Frank Guidice, the salesman, was pleasant and thorough, and the installation team of Rick, Chris, and Andy were professional and speedy. They spent a long day on the job. It was messy work, but they made an effort to contain the mess and cleaned up pretty well when they were done. (I wish I had thought to close the door between my basement and the rest of the house while they were working, to keep out the sooty dust!) Apparently because this was a slow time for them, they were able to schedule the installation for the very next day, after I called to commit to their proposal. Pretty fast turnaround!
Description of Work: I purchased a new, high-efficiency (95%), two-stage Amana gas furnace (Model GMH95), to replace my approximately 30-year old oil furnace. The old furnace still worked, but my oil bills had skyrocketed due to the increasing price of oil. Included in the project of installing the new furnace (and in the price shown above) were removal of my old furnace (but not the oil tank), installation of a new chimney liner in my existing chimney to vent my existing gas water heater, installation of a new direct-vent pipe for the new furnace, and a new thermostat. The new furnace comes with a generous 10-year warranty.
