Description of Work: Furnace in my new home would shut down after 3 minutes. Taylor diagnosed the problem, got it working temporarily until part came in, then replaced part and made adjustments to the furnace to get it working quietly and efficiently. Service person explained that a part had previously been installed incorrectly. I had never used them before, but service person was at my door in half an hour. He explained all work done and made recommendations for cleaning and annual inspection, plus gave me prices for all.

Description of Work: I called the provider to clean and inspect my furnace and replace thermostat provided by me. I was told that it will cost me a minimum of $84.50 if I decided not to repair after inspection of furnace. However, the technician who came to my house told me that it will cost me $194.00 for cleaning and inspection of furnace and replace my thermostat which was provided by me. I told him OK. Now he goes out to his truck and comes back and tells me that it will cost me $300.00. I told the technician that I do not want to get the job done by you and I also offered him if I should call police. He said no and left my home.

Description of Work: Qoute was higher for routine maintenance of both furnace and A/C. Tech did great complete job checking/cleaning furnace, but oversold me a $180 hard start on the A/C that I really did not need. Sorry, I did not know enough to say no at the time. Will continue our maint contract, but will think twice about any sales attempts they make in the future.
