Owner responded and gave an acceptable quote. I advised him by phone that we wanted him to do the work. A date was given to do the work. I was told a contract would be emailed. Never received it a week later. Checked again and was told it would be sent out that day or the following day. Never received it. Contacted him again. Said he was bringing the contract the day work was to start. I cancelled the project with this company. I don’t want to look at a contract on the day work is to start.

Not good, I am still waiting for contractor to correct his work - He has been here three times to correct the steps, but they are still sinking in the middle and have large cracks in the stone - For some reason the contractor does not understand the work is not correct, steps do not sink. I do not believe he knew what he was doing. There were other issues with this contractor, he took apart an existing step to use those materials in the new step, and he took flagstone from an existing flagstone walkway on the other side of my property to use in the flagstone walkway he was creating - instead of using the flagstone material I provided. He laid the flagstone facing down- instead of flat side up- the walkway is bumpy and sloppy. Whereas this is a young guy just starting out on his own, he is not skilled to do this kind of work. I am trying everything possible to get him to fix his work- but he is intimidating, I did not want to pay him in full the day the work was done because the flagstone was upside down and he had dismantled my existing step for materials in the new step he was installing - but he pressured me into paying him, and even though i was uncomfortable - I paid him - at the time, I was just very glad to have this work done- I was trying to find someone to do this for a few years....
