Terrible, paid for a driveway and got a Disney ride. More uneven area than a corncob. Contacted Ace Paving to repair his job, he agreed job was not right and after driving on WHOLE driveway not just the entrance I asked for a complete fix or repair and Adam did not or will not answer texts or phone calls. I would not recommend Ace Paving to do any job for me.

Rochester Driveways came quickly to give us a quote, didn't bother us while we looked for other quotes, and were friendly and helpful when we called back to schedule the work. They were timely and professional, and politely tolerated my questions (and my little-boy awe at the huge machines they used). The job was done exactly as requested, at the agreed upon price. They arrived when they said they would, were professional and the resulting driveway looks great. Chuck was very responsive to any concerns and made sure the driveway was what we wanted and needed. I was very impressed with the use of a paving machine to ensure the driveway was flat and smooth and with how organized the whole job was. Highly recommend.

The did an excellent job. What the owner proposed to do was a multi-step process , that was more thoughtful and economical. It resulted in a driveway that looks good and will last for years. Also, the owner said he would be here & supervise all the work and he did. The only reason I gave him a B on responsiveness is they were not the easiest company to get a hold of but once we made contact he came when he said he would & followed through. We are very please with the results & recommend them without any reservation.

A lot of places I contacted did not respond or provide references. Rochester Driveways followed through every step of the way, showed up on time, and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. They did excellent work, we are very happy with the results.

This Service Provider did come back and said he was having trouble getting it level. There were alot of problems with water standing after the rain. After this hard winter, we have cracks all along the garage door apron and the edges of the drive way. In just three years, our drive way falling apart. There have been multiple phone calls and the issue is still not resolved. It appears that it may not be the proper materials or application since it does not seem to stand the weight of our cars.

The initial contact by Rochester Paving's office was quick, courteous and professional, and I was advised that my request for a new driveway would be passed on to their estimator. I waited a week and a half to be contacted, and, after two follow-up requests for the estimator to contact me I decided to award the work to another paving company.

The company president Chuck Brucato was professional, competent, helpful, and punctual. He appeared with a hardworking crew of ten men who arrived ten minutes before the agreed upon start time. He was willing to accommodate homeowners and garbage pickup during the prep work. He suggested some enhancements of job details and performed the extras without additional charge. The overall price was reasonable and near the bottom range of several other quotes. All of the residents are highly satisfied and we would give Rochester Driveways our highest rating and recommendation!

I called and left a message that I would like an estimate for resurfacing my driveway. He called back in a timely manner and we set a time for 9:30 am on Sat 8/9/14. He never showed up or called. I left a message asking for a call back, to set a new time, but never heard back. Maybe when he saw my steep driveway, he wasn't interested, but I felt it was unprofessional not to at least tell me.

They were really great. The price is a bit high.

Charles Brucato, the owner, stopped by on Sunday morning to give me an estimate. The estimate was competitive and withing the range of my budget. He said he was able to do the job the next day. I left the house at 1pm on Monday, July 1, and when I returned at 4:45, the driveway was done and there was not a trace of mess. The best part was that Mr. Brucato was willing to wait for payment until my loan processed which took a little over 2 weeks. Excellent work. Knowledgeable workers. Highly recommended.

Chuck is absolutely great to deal with! I had estimates from five different paving companies and Rochester Driveways was given the job. They weren't the cheapest and they weren't the highest, they were right in the middle. I had been referred to them from previous customers and I am so glad that I chose them to do the work. Rochester Driveways showed up right in the timeframe I was given and the driveway looks absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for asphalt work.

Chuck and his crew did a good job on the driveway - they ripped up exactly what they promised, and so far the replacement driveway looks good. His prices seem fair, but about the same as others in the market - of the 5 quotes I had, three of them were $3,000 (Chuck's was one of them) and two of them were $5,000. The warranty is only 1 year whereas others offer a little more, but I chose Rochester Driveways since they seemed to have the most experience with a full rip-and-replace kind of job, and I have no complaints about the work that was done. We'll see if the driveway holds up in the long run, but I don't see any obvious issues yet. The one thing that might keep me from using Rochester Driveways again is responsiveness - Chuck can be a little hard to get a hold of at times, and did not respond to a request for some further work on the driveway that I needed done. But I can't complain too much about that, and if the driveway holds up that's far more important to me in the long run.

We got 3 estimates that all sounded good but of course you can only choose one and I ended picking another contractor.

This is the contractor to use, no questions about it. My driveway had been getting progressively worse and I knew it was time to replace so I called and got three estimates. Rochester Driveways was highly recommended to me so I contacted them for a price. Chuck came down to look at my situation and gave me a quote. He suggested I tear out the old driveway and then let it sit for a couple weeks to dry out. To be completely honest I was skeptical about the need for the base to dry out. How could the base be wet it there is a driveway over it but hey, I am not the contractor and it didn't really matter to me so I silently ignored my doubt and told him to do whatever he thought was best. They called the previous night to tearing out the driveway and the next day I came home to a crushed stone base. I was able to drive on it so no big deal. When I got out of my car and stepped on the stone I could literally feel the ground move. As I stood there I shifted weight back and forth from one foot to the other and could see and feel the driveway moving. Ok, Chuck knew what he was talking about and I was now schooled. Boy was I glad I just let them do their thing. After a couple weeks they called to let me know the driveway would be going in the next day. Sure enough I came home to an absolutely perfect driveway. Everything he said they would do was done. The edges were exact, the driveway was flat as could be with absolutely no waves and they blocked the entrance with caution tape. The driveway met the sidewalk perfectly and obviously the crew took their time to be sure it was exact. I also want to add that I have two heavy trucks I park in my driveway. Chuck used the proper type of asphalt for strength and assured me that it would look great as it was being put down with a machine and not hand raked. It sure does look great and handles my trucks without a bit of problem. Like anyone who is hiring a contractor you are always a little reserved as to what the end result will be. Rochester Driveways exceeded my expectations in every way. If you need a driveway don't make the mistake of hiring anyone else. They proved to me that they are truly experts and deserve my business as well as the best possible review I can give them!

Got a number of estimates and everyone seemed to have a different gameplan. One estimate even mentioned I should remove some hedges close to the driveway!! Chuck was very informal and authoritative. He looked at the driverway, and gave me a price. Other contractors said and quot;well, we may have problems, it may be moreand quot;. Chuck said and quot;whatever we need to do, this is the price,and quot; I was a little hesitant but I saw so many outstanding reviews on Angies List, I went with him. I got a call one afternoon and quot;we can do it tomorrowand quot; (that worked out fine with us since we were home then). A bunch of trucks came, a crew of about 6, they tore up the old driveway, laid down a new one in about 4 hours. It looks great now!!

Our experience with Rochester Driveways was outstanding from start to finish. After a debacle with another company (see a previous review by us), we looked around for another company to come in and correct the problem. We priced out several companies and decided that Rochester Driveways would be the right blend of price and quality. The owner (Chuck Sr.) came out to assess the problem, measure the driveway and give us an estimate. He was confident that they would be able fix the problem and schedule a time for them to get in and do the work as soon as they could. Sure enough, his son (Chuck Jr.) called, came out to survey the job, and scheduled us when they had some empty time after a nearby job. The crew showed up on time, with Chuck Jr. on the project to lead, and began tearing out the driveway. Chuck Jr. took time to explain to me what had gone wrong with the previous project (the previous company had ignored the work order and tried to pave over the initial driveway instead of tearing it out), tore out BOTH driveways and the old cement walk that had been buried underneath the driveway and caused the heaving in the old asphalt, and explained the process going forward. They left the exposed stone to settle for about 2-3 weeks, and scheduled a time to come back and pave the new driveway. Over the intervening weeks, Chuck Jr. came by to check the settling in the driveway, and when it was ready for paving he scheduled a day to come over and finish the paving. When we came home, the driveway was done exactly how we had envisioned it. When he came back the next week for the payment, Chuck Jr. took some extra time to explain the care and maintenance of the new driveway for the next few years. Throughout the whole process everyone at Rochester Driveways was responsive, honest, punctual, and professional. The work done was outstanding. We highly recommend Rochester Driveways for any kind of asphalt service.

The work was done very well. Chuck was very professional and extremely helpful with providing information about the driveway before installation. He examined the areas in which we had problems and identified what needed to be done to prevent this problem from occurring again in the future. His crew was very professional and did an excellent job with the removal and then with the installation. They were very organized in the processes and made sure things were clean upon leaving. The owner, Chuck, was on the job with the crew. The new driveway looks great and I really hate having to drive on it again because it looks so great when it's new! We have received many compliments from our neighbors. There are two neighbors who are interested in contactiing Rochester Driveways, Incl for their new driveway needs. I would not hesitate to contact them again should I ever need to have another new driveway (I would probably have to move in order to need a new driveway).

The owner Chuck Brucaddo from Rochester Driveways was very straightforward, very helpful, answered all the questions that I had, and charged me an excellent price. I recommended him to my neighbor across the street and also my secretary. I was so pleased with his work I recommended him to two people.

First let me say I am in no way related or friends with anyone associated with Rochester Driveway. I say that because of the glowing review I am about to write. It started with my calling Rochester Driveway (you will get an answering device all the time) and left a message to call me back. Because they are always working, it may take a couple days to get back to you but it is worth it. I got a call back from Charlie senior who gave me an approximate time he would come out and take a look. He came and presented me with an estimate that I thought was very fair. He said once the estimate was approved by me his son would call to setup a time to start. Charlie Jr. called a few days later and gave me an approximate time he would be coming over with his crew to begin work. Please understand that they can't and didn't expect an EXACT time. That is now how it works when they are coming from another job to you. But, they do show up ready to work. AND WORK THEY DID. They must have come over with a quarter of a million dollars of equipment. Every worker knew what to do and did it with near no direction from Chuck. It took two trips to complete the driveway. First to strip, add stone, roll down the stone and get the general shape of the driveway. They let the stone settle for a week and came back to add stone as required, level, pack that down and then apply the asphalt. These guys really show pride in their work. Everyone was pleasant and professional. They made sure the driveway was a work of art. Clean edges, pitched towards the culvert. If there was any question about something they would ask. Chuck was the first of the 3 companies I called to call me back to set up an estimate. He gave me the estimate the same evening. His price was lowest. The other 2 companies assumed they would have to replace all the base - complete dig out and all new - in one case in the worst section, in the other case on the whole driveway. I knew the worst section was really bad so I called Chuck back after I got all the quotes and asked Chuck how he would handle it if that section had no base when he stripped off the asphalt. He assured me there was base but if he was wrong he quoted me a square foot price (which I now forget). I gave him the job and found doing business with him was really painless. He called me before the first phase (removing the old asphalt and adding and rolling stone with compressor) to make sure the date would work for me. Same thing with scheduling the second phase. The driveway looks beautiful. What I particularly liked about working with Chuck was he is very good about returning calls and communicating.
