These guys were fabulous! They executed the task in four days after Thanksgiving and even my brother, who is handy himself, was extremely satisfied with the result. During a subsequent 36 hour power failure, the temperature in the house never dropped below 60, a testament to the quality of the windows and their expert installation.

The entire Rochester Colonial experience, from working with sales through the installation, was top notch. Our home is 26 years old and was in need of replacement windows and a door. Following hours of online research and in-person consultations with a number of local replacement window installers (including RBA, Pella) - we opted to spend a little more money and went with Rochester Colonial (Marvin Infinity windows and Therma-Tru Classic Craft door) for our job (20+ windows, including double hung, transom, and casements, and a new front door, sidelites, and half-round). Now, 1 week following installation, we couldn't be happier. The installation team was - efficient, receptive to our questions, kept a clean work-site, and had superb craftsmanship. I would recommend them highly.

Although they weren't the lowest bid, we went with Rochester Colonial because of they are a local company and were highly recommended. They were extremely professional and did a great job. We had new doors put on the front and back of the house. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

The door arrived earlier than anticipated. The salesman had the hardware installed to match the door knocker from my husband's family home his parents had built. His sisters made sure he had the doorknocker with the family name on it.

Their product, service, and attention to detail was superb. They were not the least expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They did a beautiful job. They had 3 contractors here a good 8.5 hours. They were very professional and came and got the work done efficiently. They cleaned up their mess. They even had us inspect the job when it was done to make sure we were pleased. They were very accommodating and let us change the style of stained glass. The salesperson Chris Gionta was very professional and answered all of our questions. He spent a lot of time with us and found his to be very professional. He gave us different options and really took his time explaining all the options and how long everything would take.

After having all the window companies in the Rochester area to my house to price out windows, we chose Rochester Colonial. That obviously was my biggest mistake. We have 39 windows in our house and decided to start fixing the worst ones first and see how Rochester Colonial did and hopefully we would continue using them throughout the rest of our house. We started with our downstairs living room, downstairs powder room, and our son's bedroom. This all started on March 3, 2014. Waiting ever so patiently, we finally got the post card in the mail that our windows had arrived and to call to schedule a date to be installed. June 9, 2014 was the day we chose. After setting up sitters, another house for our dog to be at, and someone to be at our house on this day...we waited. I couldn't wait to come home from work to see them, but that wasn't going to happen because the grids for inside the windows that were delivered were not the correct ones. In our contract, it stated that the grids would match the pattern of our old ones which were the contour grids. Only flat grids were delivered. After speaking with our sales rep, he wasn't sure when they would get the correct ones that we wanted/ordered and he would get back to me ASAP. Well, I guess that in Rochester Colonial language ASAP actually means they won't call you back, you need to call, call, and call some more before they will return your phone call and voice mails. A week and a half later the sales rep called me and told me everything would be in between 2-3 weeks TOPS. After I explained how unhappy I was with his lack of communication and how disappointed I was that I wouldn't have the new sashes with correct grids installed for my big party I had been planning for months, he response was the weakest "I'm sorry" I've ever heard, and that's coming from a mom of two and a third grade teacher for 8 years. 2, 3, 4 weeks passed and still nothing from Rochester Colonial or my sales rep...surprise surprise. July 16, 2014, I call customer service because I can not bear speaking with the arrogant sales rep again. I explain my situation and she tells be the windows are still weeks from being delivered. I asked to speak with a manager ASAP and I actually meant NOW. She put me through to my sales rep's manager. After explaining my situation AGAIN, he said that he understood and would pre-schedule my installation. I was very honest through this whole process about how unsatisfied I was and that I would be writing a review up on Angie's List where I found Rochester Colonial back in February. By no means am I holding my breath that my sashes will actually be delivered and installed on August 4, 2014 as pre-scheduled, but it sure would be great to have my new window sashes 4 months later. I will never work with Rochester Colonial again for many reasons, but especially because of the way they treated me as a customer.

I used them yesterday, the last two days to be exact. We had twenty five windows replaced and a new front door. The people that came were very professional, cleaned up beside themselves. They were friendly, they kept steadily at work through all that heat, they also showed us how the windows worked. They thanked us for having everything out of the way so that they could work unhindered. The windows look beautiful, I am not sure if they work because we haven't had any rain since. It cost about sixteen thousand dollars. The price was reasonable. I give them an 'A' overall. The price was in the ballpark. Twenty years ago when we built the house we had Lincoln windows. They are the ones that sold us Lincoln windows to our contractor and they turned to be not very good. We finally decided to replace them, we went to Rochester's sales and told them that we were hesitant because they were the original providers of Lincoln windows. The salesman said that Rochester was trying to make it up to the affected customers and we should come back and ask them for new windows. We did that and the price reflected it. I thought that was nice and responsible. We felt comfortable, the salesman came in with a number and said that it reflects their desire to respect the fact that the original window turned out to be not the product that they expected from the contractor. They were trying to build respectability in the people who felt bad about the first incident. The product was good and met all our research criteria. I would use them again in the future.

They offer evening appointments which is very helpful. They have excellant product documentation. THe products offered are high quality. The salesperson didn't oversell me. In fact, he talked me out of some more expensive options. They not only offer the same product for less than other large competitors but they offer more services. For example, they will install the door lock and key it to your other house keys. Another large competitor told us we'd have to call a locksmith after the door was installed. We will likely proceed with the quated services.

See above. The fellas worked very carefully and thoroughly throughout the project and kept up abreast of what they were doing and why it had to be done a certain way. They were respectful of our "clutter" such as it was. Very organized in their approach and timely too in spite of the adversity in which they worked.

The salesman Jack was very professional and knowledgeable. We had many questions during the estimate phase. Jack answered them all and gave us great advice on the right product to use. He even offered style and decorating advice. He quoted us an install date of 8 weeks and they were installed 8 weeks to the day. Although 8 weeks seemed like a long time, it took us 3 years to choose a window and door company. So 8 weeks was reasonable. Besides we ordered during their winter window and door sale so the install on April 30, 2014 was perfect timing. The day was windy and rainy but the installers kept the house warm and dry. They arrived on time and although I was quoted 2 days for completion they were done in only 6 hours. They worked cleanly and neatly and all debris and old windows and doors were removed. My wife could not be happier. (Happy wife, happy life!!) There communication skills were outstanding!!! While we were deciding on the type of windows and doors I had several questions for Jack. He always got back to me in a timely fashion. Once when I called with a question on a weekend he answered his cell phone while snowmobiling. I told him he could call me back on Monday but he insisted on answering all of my questions while taking a break from his riding. WOW! During the whole ordering process Rochester Colonial kept in touch with me to make sure everything was correct on our order as we had some unusual requests. They sent us post cards to update us on the status of our order and when to call them for a final installation date. To say we are happy would be an understatement! We will now order the rest of our replacement windows and new front door when they have their next sale. Oh and by the way, our installers even replaced 2 sets of pre-existing blinds even though their contract specifically stated window treatments were the homeowners responsibility. I didn't have to ask he just did it!!

RC arrived at the site as arranged. Their team of professional installers (most with the company >20 years) were polite, courteous,and knowledgeable craftsmen. They each introduced themselves as they arrived. The crew chief kept us informed of their work schedule for the day and immediately as issues occurred. The house and outside yard were picked up each day. Interior efforts included vacuuming, floor cleaning areas that the tarps they spread didn't catch; and taking away the plastic they had placed on our furniture . They had some carpentry to do because the frames had settled over the 46 years since the home was built, and the trim pieces for that were made custom by the crew chief in their shop during the evening. They spent 4.5 days installing 29 windows, adding aluminum caps to the exterior doors and windows, interior trim and an entry door. I c an't say enough about how positive this experience was with the professionalism of the company, with their crew being foremost on this list of great experiences. We hired rochester colonial because we got a good reference through word-of-mouth. They did a great job with our windows and we were very pleased. Since then we have had other companies come to give us estimates on replacing other windows in our home and although rochester colonial is not the cheapest, they are the most professional and I know we can expect quality work from them.

They did a fantastic job. One guy came in and cut the walls and did it all in 4 hours. I was shocked.

We shopped around and chose Rochester Colonial because they had the best quality window. And they lowered their price a little to match our budget. Everything with regard to the purchase and installation went very well. They said exactly what they would do and when, then they did what they said. We will be using them to replace more windows in our house as we go along.

Their prices were fair. They have great friendly employees, very accommodating. They did a great job cleaning up, after themselves. I would just say, overall it was a great experience.

We are in the process of installing them. Now, we are waiting for the new windows to come in. Their salesman is very, very nice. He is not high pressured and gives a really accurate answers. We just overall experience wise liked them over the other provider. He answered all my questions. He has been helpful through the whole process like getting the matching-color windows and worked back and forth with us to make sure we get the best quality windows and doors in the house. He went over with us the small finer details on what we want. He also upgraded the door without any extra charge.

The installer arrived on the agreed day and very much on time. The installation took 6 hours as the storm door had to be removed as well as the old entry door. The installer was wonderful. He was very careful and precise with all he had to do during a snow storm. He matched the molding inside with the molding that I currently have....not the original molding which was ranch in a cape cod style house. The new threshold was beautifully installed. New aluminum flashing was added to the outside of the entry. All was chalked and sealed and the storm door reinstalled and adjusted. The entry door is beautiful and fits like a glove! I no longer have air rushing in when it's windy and cold. When the installer began his work there was no snow on the ground, but when he left there was 8 inches! He was never detered from the job he was there to do. Bravo to this young man.

They were good and matched a quote I got from another company so I was happy with that. This was too good of a deal to pass up.

Perfectly smooth job---they were professional, prompt, and did exactly what they said they would do and finished right on time. The job involved replacing 9 windows on the ground floor of an 1870 house: see window description above. They removed every scrap of debris, undertook the mandatory lead paint abatement scheme, and finished right on time--the work areas were all spotless. The windows had to be custom built, because none of the openings were standard and few of them even matched the dimensions of each other--so pretty much every window had to be built from scratch. The windows are first rate--nary a draft, easy action up and down, and they also swing forward parralel to the floor for easy cleaning. Look smart as well. I definitely felt like I received value for the dollar, and everything is fabricated here in the city, so it's nice to support a company that is giving jobs to neighbors.

We learned shortly after the work was finished thadayst stopps were not used to hold the windows in place. Since this seemed to be a major safety issue we called to question this. We were given the run around for a few days. My husband had to go to the store and demand to speak to someone because no one would call us back to discuss our concerns. When they finally came out to fix the issue they did a quick and messy repair that resulted in windows that were not flush, not insulated and not even the correctsize. So much for custom. We again called to complain and were given the same run around as before. They insisted we would have to make an appointment for their field manager to come out and inspect the windows. We had no intention of waiting weeks for this and told them so. They reluctantly sent someone out to inspect and it turned out to be a waste of time, their field manager showed up and tried to tell us everything looked fine.When my husband told him the windows weren't flush he insisted they were, even though he hadn't thought to bring a level to even check them. He was obviously there to try to convince us everything was fine when it wasn't. After that nonsence we decided to pay someone else to fix the windows because we couldn't wait any longer and we didn't trust the "Window and door EXPERTS" to work on our house again. One last interesting fact I almost forgot. We had 8 of our 11 windows replaced by them at this time because the other three had been done several years earlier by the previous owner. She saved all receipts of any work she had done and gave themtyo me when we purchased the house, of course she had also used the "EXPERTS". Those windows didn't have stopps in them either. This is something they have been doing for a while and I don't think it's a safe or sound practice.

The widow arrived at the building site when it was supposed to and it was in working order. What else could a buyer expect.

They were very professional and , polite and timely. I am pleased with the company, the QUALITY is excellent, and I am now returning to their business for windows throughout my home.
