After interviewing a couple other custom woodworkers, Mark came in and quoted us the lowest price and highest-quality construction. His solid-walnut bookcase estimate was 30% cheaper than another local builder offering laminate. Mark spent at least 3 meetings with us helping us decide what style and features we wanted, since we were novices. Over the course of a couple months, he built the bookcase completely from scratch, at which point we got back together to choose an appropriate finish. During this time, he would send weekly photo updates of the progress, which were surprisingly enjoyable to track. After finishing, Mark installed the bookcase over the course of 3-ish days. We are extraordinarily happy with the bookcase and the process. Although it took longer than originally planned, the weekly photo updates were very enjoyable, and the bookcase met all our expectations. We would hire Mark again in a heartbeat and recommend him wholeheartedly.
Description of Work: Mark built us a 13ftx9ft built-in custom bookcase. After the initial interview, Mark came in, listened to what we wanted, spent a few meetings with us defining exactly what style bookcase we wanted, then built the bookcase from scratch. He then installed the bookcase, moving a light switch for us in the process.
