Precision Garage Door Service

My recent encounter with the technician Ron, who is the owner, was disappointing. When I asked the technician to remove their shoes when entering my house, a simple request I've made to every service provider who's entered my home, but he became defensive and refused. As an Asian, their dismissive attitude raised concerns of discrimination. Ultimately, he left without completing the job. This experience left me feeling frustrated and disrespected, such behavior is unacceptable, and I do not recommend this company.

Well, we were informed that we needed to put down 1100.00 deposit when the service person who came out to give us an estimate mentioned a minimal amount as a deposit. So i wondered,"Is this another race thing!?" Is this an example of a business requiring the African American family put down way more money than the average "White" customer? So i asked the Manager (Mike), "What is the normal amount asked to put down?" He attempted to explain and stated that he dropped it down to 500.00 since the service guy didn't inform us of the deposit fee amount normally charged. I mentioned that I'm asking to determine if this is a business that I want to spend my hard earned money with! Do you know what the manager says!? Well, It's not the end of the world if you decide not Not want us to do the JOB!" Who does That!? In my opinion, he just blatantly confirmed that my green money is NOT welcome since I have Ebony hands/skin!!" And I DO believe We were discriminated against and required to put down MORE money since we're Black people!! SMH!! Is this 2022 or 1922!? It wasn't the money, we can afford to pay the entire balance outright! It's the principle. Then again, it's not hard to imagine racism and/or discrimination since the website has zero people displayed, that look like us! I guess they really Don't like our "kind". And that's fine. I don't like their kind of bigotry and I definitely Won't give them MY money and will tell anybody that I know how it might be a good idea to spoend your money with someone who respects and values You!!

Precision Doors was able to send a service person the next morning after my call. Zikret, the technician, called to let us know the exact time he would arrive. He arrived promptly as he said he would arrive. He was very thorough and explained and taught us how to reset the opener should we encounter another power outage or surge. He performer a safety check of the equipment including the springs and rollers on the overhead doors. He took a picture of the spring that needs to be replaced and told us about the rollers on the doors needing replacement. Before he concluded the repair visit, he was able to give us quotes on the needed repairs. I have used Precision Garage Doors services since 2011. I will continue to use the services. The technician are prompt, excellent performing the services, clean up if the is any need, and are very courteous. I highly recommend the company and Zikret did a great job.

Work was done quickly and professionally. Time was taken to educate me about how to operate the system after it was installed. Would definitely recommend!

I was able to have a excellent conversation regarding the whole garage door. It has been the best. Just speaking from having experience of two other companies. They have been the best. Reliable, responsive, willing to have detailed conversation regarding door.

I was able to schedule service the same week I called and the pro arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He clearly explained the problem and offered a solution. He also conducted a safety check of all part of my garage door. They do charge a moderately large service fee for the visit, even if the work that needs to be done is minor. However, the service was performed quickly and conveniently, and it was worth the expense.

I would definitely hire Precision Door Again! I plan on recalling them in the Spring to get a new Door. The customer service is top notch and the workers are too. Very Professional and easy to work with. 5 star company all the way.

I called at around 2 PM and was able to get the last appointment of the day, from 9-11 PM. About an hour later, the tech called and said he could come within a half hour. Ron was very pleasant and professional and completed the job quickly.

Tech was on time and finished earlier than promised. Great value.

The whole experience from the original estimate appointment to the actual installation went very well. I felt like I was honestly dealt with and would feel confident returning to Precision Garage Door for any needed service.

Repaired my garage, it works, and was quick. No complaints there. I am a little disappointed on the pricing/value. When I made the appointment I was told each spring would go from $89-$149. Going into it, I figured worst case it would be $300. I had shopped around and most places were around $220. I figured I would go with Precision based on the feedback and since I have used them before and was willing to pay a little more. I was also told your springs are much better than the others. What I didn’t expect was to have to pay another $50 to replace a center bearing. Tech said I had a plastic bushing before and it had to be done to ensure a proper install. I am sure this is the case, maybe but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. The three other places also told me I didn’t need to replace the bushing so maybe I was upsold. Maybe they are doing an inferior service. I can only go by what they told me. I was also told you guys use the highest end springs out there hence the increased price. They don’t seem to look like the “green” ones on your website and the tech also claimed this stuff isn’t American steel and from China so it should only last 7 years tops. Once again, who knows if they are really better but the tech didn't seem to think so. I will probably be looking elsewhere when it is time for a new door (which is soon) or any other service.

They were prompt and did the repair at a fair price. I have used them before and continue to be very satisfied. I will use them again.

We live in an old Colonial (1920s) in a working-class neighborhood with an old unattached garage. Precision Door Service owner, Ron (“I’m the Boss!”) Kull showed up early so I thought we were off to a good start. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. “It’s time for you to buy a new door” (i.e. spend $1000-$4000) were the first words out of his mouth “and I’m the Boss” followed shortly thereafter. Here are the rest of the disrespectful details: • Ron told me that he was the owner and boss multiple times and that he was doing me a favor by coming out on a Saturday because all of his technicians were busy. • Ron told me that “I don’t want to fix it but I’m only the Boss” . . . “but we can make it go up and down again if that’s all you want and we’ll wait for you to call us back.” • The total for the service call and replacement of two torsion springs was $313 which was $150 more than the quote over the phone. • The job only took Ron (“I’m the Boss!”) Kull approximately 45 minutes but note that he did not clean-up after he finished. • When I went out to inspect the work Ron (“I’m the Boss!”) Kull told me “you don’t want to hear it but you should have bought a new door.” • When I asked to see a receipt, Ron (“I’m the Boss!”) Kull asked “why?” • Ron (“I’m the Boss!”) Kull then used the sign-off as his last opportunity to make sure I knew that he thought I was an idiot with comments like “sign here to agree that I fixed the door but didn’t want to” and “sign here if you know the difference between a motor and a door.” • After I handed Ron (“I’m the Boss!”) Kull the payment I told him that I didn’t appreciate his disrespectful attitude. • Like the snob that he is, Ron (“I’m the Boss!”) Kull then handed me the check back as if I was his charity case for the year. • I mailed the check back to him that same day and of course he cashed it because Ron (“I’m the Boss!”) Kull is a pathetic POS. The new torsion springs fixed the problem and the garage door has worked well over the last few weeks.
