 + -1 moreWe bought this nicely crafted oak rocking chair over 20 years ago at the Corn Hill Festival and it has become my favorite piece of furniture. Recently the left arm broke loose from the back of the chair. I decided to get it repaired by a professional and am glad I went to Nova for the job. Chris did the work on the chair and her craftsmanship (craftswomanship) exceeded the original. I will add that even though there might not be someone at the desk all the time, phone messages and emails are responded to in what I found to be very reasonable times.

 + -1 moreWhen a server from my dining room set was damaged in a move.. Nova Finishing came to the rescue.. they were able to give me an estimate over the phone from pictures I texted to them and then unloaded the piece from my truck to work on. they had it ready when promised (2 weeks). loaded it back into my truck for the trip home and the price was less that the estimate! In addition to the damage repair, they touched up all the nicks it had accumulated over the 35 years we have owned it and realigned the door that had gotten whacked in the move. Tony & team were great to work with and I will highly recommend them to all my friends.

 + -1 moreI contacted Nova by email via their website and they responded the same day. I explained what I needed, and they were able to give me some ideas over the phone, including ballpark prices. I took my old cushions to Nova's shop and they were able to help me pick a suitable fabric and give me advice on the type of cushion that would would be best for the chair. The work took a little longer than I expected, but they did call to let me know that they were very busy because of Thanksgiving and that they would get the work done as soon as they could. The work was then done when they promised. The work was done beautifully and I am very happy with the cushions.

 + -1 moreThe hope chest is very has very intricate details to it. It has different types of wood. Tony did a beautiful job on refinishing it with the exact stain I requested. Repair: the one bench arm had come loose. Tony repaired the bench arm and also the opening metal arm. He truly created the essence of the hope chest, which had been lost over time and many moves. Thank you for a beautiful job, Tony.

 + -1 moreTony took the doors away and boarded up the gaping hole with plywood. A week later he returned with the refnished doors. They look wonderful and they even cleaned up the brass door hardware. The doors look brand new, my only regret is not doing it 5 years ago when we moved in. I would definetly recommend Nova Finishing.

Description of Work: Last month I used Nova Finishing Company. I used once before 15 years ago when they were at their old place. I had an old table belonging to the early 50s or may be the 40s that had five chestnut pieces. The wooden runners were getting worn off. It was hard to open so he had to buy new runners and put them in. It was in bad shape and it had to be specially ordered. He refinished the table.
