 + -1 moreI called Johnny Locksmith to have my mom's lock re-keyed after her keys came up missing. He responded promptly on a Saturday. Once he got there, he mentioned that the lock could not be re-keyed due to the lock being so old (I had figured as much). He then said that he would have to rebuild the entire cylinder, which is expensive. He then suggested adding a deadbolt. He installed the deadbolt promptly and at a great price. My mom was really happy to have her home secure again. I highly recommend Johnny Locksmith.

Description of Work: Johnny Locksmith was recommended by our realtor and had very high Angie's List marks so we hired him to rekey all the locks in our house on the day we closed. I called him shortly after we closed and he was able to rekey all locks that afternoon; which made us feel good. I then had John return to install all new locks on all external doors. In addition I had him install 2 new deadbolts. John showed up at the agreed upon time with everything he needed to complete the job. It was obvious he knows what he's doing and did a great job doing it.

 + -1 moreIt took some time and effort to do the repair. He had to order a part and come back a couple of days later. He cancelled the first appointment I had and moved it to a couple of days later. All in all the work was done satisfactorily, although it took longer that I had hoped for.

 + -1 moreMr. Locksmith came very promptly and within the time frame promised. The lock was not actually the issue; rather, the door has warped a tiny bit and thus the bolt was having trouble going into the slot. He drilled out a bit of the door so that the bolt would sit properly.

 + -1 moreHad to arrange for a time hours later to meet, the lock turned out not to be so simple to undo, the representative had to use a stiff plastic sheet to get inside when lockpicks failed. The lock still worked afterward, however, and I was able to get inside.

 + -1 moreWe had excellent service and it was a reasonable price. It came to $150 or $200, but I called around and it seemed like a very reasonable price at that time. We actually had to have them come back and they were chipper about coming back and taking care of things. They were really great. We would absolutely use them again. The service was fast, reasonably priced and incredibly well done.
Description of Work: We used Johnny Locksmith. We had them take our old locks off and put numeric keypad locks on. We had them do the front and the back door.

 + -1 moreHe called back after about an hour of me calling him around 8:35 a.m. He called 10 minutes prior to being at our house, and arrived right when he said he would, that same morning. He had all of the tools with him, and went right to work. He was done in less than an hour. I was going to get him scissors to open the new doorknob package, but by the time I asked if he needed them, he'd already had the new doorknob 1/2 way on. Was very pleased with his professionalism and his personality.
Description of Work: Johnny came and basically fixed the stuck doorknob (a mistake by a locksmith that was here in October to supposedly fix ), and replace the current stuck doorknob with a new one I had purchased at the Home depot.

He came as scheduled (although her had to reschedule from the previous day which he called and checked with us), I showed what needed to be done and where, and he did the rest, No problems, he tried all the new keys and when he was through he asked if we had any questions, He was very professional. Would definitely use him again, We got several of his cards and his refirerator magnets which we will pass out to our neighbors.
