Description of Work: I needed to replace my 20 year old Carrier furnace, and decided to buy a Rheem 96V two stage gas furnace. I had heard from several friends that Heuther's did a good job... and they were right! I met John the owner. He really knows his stuff. They gave me a very good price on a new furnace. I asked him about replacing the A/C with the furnace. John told me that the A/C was fine and I could wait until a later time to do that. I really appreciated his honesty in not trying to up sell me something I didn't need at this time. They showed up promptly, on time, did a very professional job, cleaned up everything and left the basement neater that before they came! They were also very courteous and respectful of my home. They placed heavy duty runners on the floors, so as to not scratch them when they moved the equipment. I also used them because there is more to this than just a one time installation. I wanted someone that I could depend on in the future if a service call is ever need. I was very pleased, with their workmanship and I would highly recommend them to all my friends.

+ -1 moreOur heat went out during a cold-stretch on a Saturday afternoon. A call to Huether Heating & Cooling and less then an hour later John (owner) was in our house running diagnostics on the system. He quickly found the fault, hunted-down a replacement part, and was back to install it in less then an hour. The system was back up-and-running before the house had a chance to cool down. Absolutely amazing service!

+ -1 moreThe compressor went on my heat pump and I solicited several bids. Jon Huether, the owner actually came to the house to do the bid and actually investigate alternatives to full replacement. It was a 17 year old system, so he was unsuccessful, but at least he took the time. On top of that he as between $1,000 - $3,000 cheaper than an other bid I received. I would definitely recommend Huether to a friend.

+ -1 moreWoke up to a cold home. Furnace was not working during one of the coldest weeks of the winter! Called and the tech came over within 1 hour and corrected the problem and left. Worked fine for another week or two, but problem came back. Took a couple of visits to figure it all out but in the end, the problem was fixed! Very timely service and knowledgeable techs.
Description of Work: No heat. Replaced a defective part that was shutting down my furnace (safety device).

+ -1 moreThey called on the day of the installation and said that an elderly couple had a serious problem and would it be all right to do the install on 4/15/2013. They were here the first thing in the morning and took out the old unit and installed the new higher efficiency furnace with a new Aprilaire Humidifier in 5 or 6 hours. There were no complication. The new unit is quieter and saving us money now. We also got our $618.00 rebate from RGand E 6 weeks later. The installers were very professional, courteous, cleaned up everything nice and neat, and departed.
Description of Work: Had a problem with the 18 year old furnace on the weekend and call Huether Heating to fix it. John Huether said it would probable be a great time to replace the heating unit with a new one and get a $600.00 rebate from RG&E. I talked to my wife about it and called John on Monday to setup an installation date.

+ -1 moreProvided temporary fix to existing 32 year old furnace (for no charge). Then installed a new furnace a few days later, quickly and efficiently. Further, the office adminstrator filled completed the paper work for an RGand E rebate (to insure it was filled out properly) and mailed it on my behalf. I was completely blown away by their high quality services. I did get a few other quotes (as one must if spending more than a few hundred dollars) and they were by far the most reasonable, through I would have paid a little more than their competitors due to the temporary fixe provided. I will definitely be using them again in the future and highly recommend.

+ -1 moreThis experience was especially disappointing because I had used Huether exclusively for 20 years.
Description of Work: I contacted Huether about a month before I had some remodeling work scheduled and asked them to move a heat run. They came to my home, looked at the job, and told me that this would be no problem, just give them a call when I needed the service and they could be there the next day. When the remodeling contractor arrived on a Tuesday and told me his schedule, I immediately called Huether and told them I needed them in the next two days. I was told, very curtly, that the cold snap made it impossible for them to come out immediately, but that I would be placed at the "top of the list" and called as soon as possible. I was then hung up on. I never received a call back, and so I called Huether again on Friday. Again, I was told that I was at the "top of the list." I told them that I had already had the work performed and no longer needed their service. They were sorry.
