Herington Painting

We had such a fantastic experience and highly recommend. From beginning to end, communication was professional, prompt, and very nice. We had a lot of different quotes but Herington came out as the winner because Ric was very personable and cheerful, and that's often hard to find with contractors (and we definitely met many throughout the build process!) and so we can attest that Herington was the best. Would recommend in a heartbeat. Beautiful work!

I can't say enough good things about Herington Painting. The initial quote was prompt and very reasonable. Ric was incredible responsive to a variety of questions and overall very helpful. The work itself was done in two days (!) and the house looks great. Would definitely use them again.

Ric and the entire crew did a great job painting our home. They were all very professional and paid attention to the details. We made a couple of changes a few days in to the project and Ric was flexible and had no problem working with us on those add-ons. The job was done when they said it would be and the followed up to make sure we were happy with the end result. We would use them again!

We had a very pleasant experience with Kevin & Ric from Herington Painting. They were prompt, courteous, and in constant communication with me during the entire time they were on the job. They did a great job staining the exterior of our house and took special care to cover our deck, awning and landscaping to protect them from any paint drips. We are very happy with the quality of their work and would recommend them to anyone in need of painting services.

The whole process went really smoothly - they did a careful assessment of the job, accurately predicted the timeline, supervised the crew well, and were assiduous in following up on touch ups and final requests. Importantly, they have proper lead certification (EPA RRP) and follow lead safe work practices as appropriately. They were not the cheapest, but absolutely worth it for the quality of work.

We were looking to get the upstairs repainted when we were moving into a new location. They were professional and helpful in working around our shifting move in schedule. The price was a bit higher than average estimate I had received but that was because they could work within our schedule so I don't hold that against them. They were very timely and did a great job bringing in extra crew to finish on time. Will be hiring them again to do the downstairs.

Kevin and Ric really impressed us. They cleaned, taped and painted the exterior body of our house in about a week. The quality was excellent, and it was easy to work with them. They even helped move heavy stuff out of the way and took care of some moss growing on the roof while they were up there. They also followed through to make sure we were satisfied with the job after everything dried, and we were. Couldn't be happier with the result. Looks like a new house.

We hired Herington Painters based on Angies list.....and thank you Angie's List! This company did the work as we hoped...the crew was professional but friendly. They worked carefully and left the job clean each day. The paint job looks good and a very old deck that we thought was beyond saving now has been restored. 7

We hired Harington to paint our home on Irondequoit Bay. It has been years since last done and Ric did an awesome job! He not only painted the house but attended to the windows, re-glazing, gutters and doors. I can't say enough how pleased we are with their work. They even came one week earlier than we had expected. I've attached pics -- house used to be a redwood color and now is a soft beige and gray. So transforming! Would definitely hire again.

Excellent. Ric Herington was on site and working with his crew each day, which was a big plus. Ric, Al, Eric and the rest of the crew were all polite, professional and responsive - a nice, easy crew to work with. Workmanship was excellent - everything that was supposed to be stained was and nothing that shouldn't have been was touched. Al did some siding repair as required and the repairs look good. At the final walk-through, we identified a few very small issues that were corrected with no questions. The house looks better than it has in years. Ric was upfront about variations we would see between the color of the old wood and the new wood where repairs had been made. Despite his disclaimers, he was able to blend everything in pretty well - I can see the variations but they aren't objectionable or a surprise. The final price was a problem. Their original price was the best quote for the job, which is one reason I selected Herington. However, the stain was applied to old, dried out cedar siding and one coat just didn't cover well enough. After Ric saw the problem, he applied a 2nd coat to one area to show us the difference, and we agreed to a 2nd coat for the whole house. This wasn't expected, but wasn't really a surprise either - I knew the siding was dry and would soak up stain. But it blew right past the original quote - significantly. I'm satisfied that any other contractor would have had the same problem, and either wouldn't have done the 2nd coat or would have had the same cost for doing it. I'm happy with the result and satisfied with the final price for the work actually completed. Even more important, my wife is very picky about jobs like this and she's satisfied too. I would recommend Herington Painting and would call them again for my next painting job.

Kevin responded very quickly to my request for a quote & then he was able to complete the job within a short timeframe. He & his crew were very professional & did neat job. I would highly recommend them for any interior painting projects.

Excellent work. They did a fine job.

It went very well. Besides painting the deck the sanded down so the stain would take better, & used 2 coats. I will be having them back again to paint some rooms inside the condo.

Kevin responded promptly to my initial inquiry and informed me that his son Ric would call me to schedule an initial appointment. Within 24 hours, Ric followed up, came out to the house and provided a quote that was competitive with his similarly-rated competitors. Ric and is team painted about 1200 square feet worth of walls and did very high quality work - so much so that I re-hired him to paint all the baseboards on our first floor. I would highly recommend Kevin Herington Painting as they are responsive, punctual, clean, and enjoyable to work with.

I have never had a better experience!!! Rick Herington is incredibly professional,skilled, punctual, personable and an extremely hard worker. He responded immediately to my request for a quote and worked on the holiday to accommodate my needs. He took his time and wasn't satisfied until all water stains were removed. He matched the stain perfectly! His painting skills are also excellent. I honestly have never had as wonderful experience and outcome in all my years of home ownership!

I was looking for a reliable painter to come paint my kitchen cabinets. Kevin and his crew were courteous and timely. I have a busy family and Kevin and Ric got the job job done in a timely fashion. They paid great attention to detail and were sensitive to the fact that it was difficult to run the house while having a kitchen under construction. I would definitely hire them again for more projects. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves after every work day. Kevin was always available by phone if I had any questions which was a great plus!

Amazing! Came to give an estimate 1/2 hour after I called. Ric was very professional and kind. He came prepared and left the area cleaner than when he arrived! Nice paint job...looks lovely.

The Herringtons did a lovely job on several rooms in our house, including two ceilings that had to be totally rehabbed and some delicate work with the original plaster from 100 years ago. I recommend them without reservation!

They were very prompt ,The price was fair They left everything clean . Furniture was moved back quickly. They all had a good sense of humor.

Not well at all. They put a worker on unsupervised who they fired in the middle of the job. They painted things the wrong colors. They put paint on my deck when it should’ve been stain. The ultimate problem was the decks the paint peeled up the original staying down to bare wood wrong color paint showed through the stain they tried to put on. I’ve been asking them for four months this year to rectify the situation and they have refused to. The only thing they have done was to put some primer on and do some sanding. They have removed all the furniture and plants and left them all over the yard and some of them have died. Despite many many attempts to compromise they have not returned any communications.

They returned phone calls promptly, gave an honest estimate and got the job done within a short time. Great work!

These guys are the best. They reached to make us happy and succeeded. They weren’t perfect and that’s not a complaint. We didn’t hire a higher power. They reached perfection because they fixed the things that didn’t turn out right. That’s a pro. Want a great home improvement experience? Stop looking and call Kevin. You won’t be sorry. I’ll never forget the last thing said to me by Kevin and I quote “if you find something that’s not to your satisfaction call us and we’ll come back and make it right. How cool is that? I’ll never paint again I’ll have Herrington do it.
