 + 0 moreseemed to go well at the time, but after a few years, I realized that they had taken shortcuts and some of the work was bad (electrical). As far as I can tell, they are out of business now, I tried tracking them down in 2014 and was not able to locate them

Description of Work: Added an addition above our existing garage. GN builders did an excellent job, and the owners were very responsive to any minor issues that came up during the build process. We were under a tight schedule and they were able to complete on time without any additional cost uppers. My only (minor) complaint or change I would have made is to outsource the tile work in the bathroom. GN did an okay job, but some areas were not level and the grout work is uneven in areas. Small cracks have have now developed in some of the tiles. Previous tile work by another tiling company in our kitchen had none of these issues. I just don't think the tiling was an area of expertise for them. | |I would highly recommend them for any kind of structural work or additions that you want to do. They were roughly 20K cheaper then any other bidder and worked closely with the architect in the early phases to help us design what we wanted and work within our budget.

 + 0 moreThe whole experience was great..they were totally professional from start to finish. On time, extrememly neat and if I had any questions or concerns were always there with the answers. I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a good price, quality craftsmanship and a overall great experience..
Description of Work: The guys at Great Northern did a Fantastic job of converting my existing deck into a beautiful sunroom. I had a fairly good size outdoor deck but it never got enough sunlight for me to really enjoy. I had Great Northern come over and take a look at what we could do to make it more useful. We decided on totally enclosing it and making it into a sunroom. We added vaulted ceilings, a wood laminate floor, gas fireplace, ceiling fan and LOTS of windows. We had them leave my exsiting glass slider as a main entrance from my exiting house into the new room. We added a french door as an exit to my outside. They had to reposition a upstairs window from one side of the house to another in order to get the pitch of the roof right on the new room. They enclosed the bottom of the new room and coated it with a type of plaster / cement that matched my existing houses foundation perfectly. The siding also matched and the new room. Looks like it has always been there not like some builds that stickout like a sore thumb.
