 + -1 moreI feel that having Grays clean the rug went very well. They were friendly and professional both on the phone and in person, a pleasure to do business with. Both the cost and the timliness of the work were fully acceptable and I would certainly use them again.
Description of Work: I took the good quality area rug (5.5 X 8.5 ft) to Grays for cleaning because it had never been professionally cleaned before and one of our cats had started to pee on it. They were very professional and explained that they might not be able to completely remove the urine odor but that they could clean & treat it to see how it would come out. They gave me a date (about 8 days away I think) to call to see if it was done. I called on that date and the rug was ready so I stopped and picked it up a couple of days later. The rug looked great but there was still a slight (but much less) urine odor. Since they had advised me up front that that might be the case I was very satisfied with their work. At this point I have the rug airing out on a screen porch and hopefully the odor will go away completely. I do believe that I will be able to use the rug inside again - as long as the cat stays away! The price was exactly what they had estimated and I feel that it was quite reasonable.

 + -1 moreDropped rug off and work was completed on time. See above. I really can't remember how much I paid but it was in line with what other's charge.
Description of Work: Cleaned an oriental rug to remove odor caused by dog urine in one particular area. Rug had previously been taken to another cleaner 2 -3 years prior to this cleaning, and there continued to be a scent especially on humid summer days. Tried Gray's and it is now pretty much gone. Don't know if the problem was solved because it was cleaned twice. Rug is slightly "bowed" from being hung but it isn't a big deal to me. One dark dirty area on the fringe on the opposite side of the "problem area" is still that way but the odor issue is resolved.

I have had this service done many...times over the years but this time I felt like I was getting a very professional job!! Everyone was very friendly and very timely in responding.

 + -1 moreThey would not guarantee they could get the smell out, and in fact, the smell was fainter but still there when I picked it up. But, it was clean. The smell has since faded. I would add that the front office staff is not very friendly.

 + -1 moreNot that "big'" a job but everything went ok and runners look just fine. Runners were not that dirty to begin with but my spouse and I are fussy. They were 5 years down in our hall and probably needed cleaning. Gray's is an old established firm and did not hesitate.
Description of Work: Cleaning approx 55 sq ft of runner carpeting after delivering carpet to them. Brought in on a Wednesday and picked up the following Wednesday as promised.
