Description of Work: Repair and appraisal. Went very well. Felt secure in leaving my items with them - they used microscopic photography to document the gems in my presence, and showed me the identifying marks.

+ 0 moreThey were professional and very helpful. And one other thing is, I brought a lot of jewelery and he said, this isn't worth being appraised, because it would have cost me for every appraisal. So he didn't want me to do that. So, he pointed out what was worth it and what wasn't worth being appraised. So, he was honest.

+ -1 moreThey were the lowest, but they were really good. They were honest. I would like to give them an "A+," as they only charged me like $62 to resize my ring, cleaned it, they gave me a full written appraisal and they have a lot of high credentials in technology. They sell estate jewelry as well and they custom make rings. I also recommended them to several people.
Description of Work: I had Gem Lab appraise my engagement ring for insurance purposes. They were my fourth jewelers that I had gone to in order to price out how much it would cost to do the appraisal and also the resizing of the ring, because it was my fiancé's mother's ring and the ring was purchased in the 1940s. What they did was they took a picture of the physicalness of the ring and also let me as an individual look through the microscope at the physicality of every diamond, even though it was cut it was like a fingerprint, it was individual. They had me look under the microscope so that I could see the uniqueness of my particular stones and took a picture. When they gave me back the ring they again had me look at the ring through the microscope so that it would confirm that I am getting my stones back and not getting an imitation or a different stone. They resized my ring, cleaned it, and they gave me a full written appraisal.
