The glasses were accidentally flushed causing the toilet to be plugged and I was unable to get at them to clear the plug. It was not an emergency situation as there is a second bathroom available. I called Gatti and made an appointment for the next morning. I was given a price estimate over the phone. The next day the gentleman came on time. He phoned when he was on his way. He managed to clear out the glasses without having to remove the toilet. He asked first if the glasses were important and I had told him not to worry about destroying them as they were cheap magnifying glasses. He was neat and professional and cleaned up when he was done. The final cost was exactly as estimated.

We discovered at 10:00 at night that our sewer line had clogged, and backed up into our basement. We called Gatti, and in about 30 minutes they were at our house. Another hour or so later, and he had unclogged the line. He explained everything, every step of the way, and was very courteous and respectful of our house and of us. (We had an infant son, sleeping, and he tried to keep everything as quiet as possible.) He also made a few suggestions to prevent this in the future. Considering that this was at 10:00-11:30ish on a Sunday night, I am very happy with their service.

Our water heater sprang a huge water leak the night of July 8. After turning off the water I called Gatti around 10 pm, and their answering service took the information. They called back about 7:30 the next morning and scheduled me for later that morning, which was really great. The service person arrived on time and very efficiently went down in the basement, removed the old water heater, upgraded the flue to new standards, and put in a new one, all while I was having much with friends. He was there about two hours. He was very quiet and competent and even spread drop cloths over the basement stairs and carpet to keep them from getting dirty. Cleaned up well. My only complaint is that I was not offered a choice of water heater models -- and this is partly my fault, because I forgot to ask if there was a choice.

Main drain to sanitary sewer backed up into laundry tubs, on a Saturday of course. Matt, the plumber on call, arrived promptly, analyzed the problem in a few minutes, and proceeded to open and flush the drain. He had all of the necessary tools on his truck. In the process, he educated me about how the various lines in our house drain and proposed an inexpensive solution to prevent future back-ups. He also discussed the pros and cons of converting our water heater to a tankless type in the future (certainly no hard sell, as he tried to talk me out of it). He impressed me as being completely honest, interested in doing quality work, and enjoying the company for which he works.

It was early on a Friday afternoon and I noticed water dripping from the ceiling beneath the toilet upstairs. I called Gatti Plumbing (based on ratings from Angie's list). They answered immediately and the receptionist was very personable and courteous. She seemed more knowlegeable than I would have expected for someone answering the phone. She gave me an estimate over the phone ($40 for house call + $39 per every 30 min = ~$117+tax). The plumber was there within 2 hours and called about 15 minutes before he expected to be there. He was right on time and came in a clean, well-maintained, and well-stocked company truck. He was very professional, went right to work, and finished in about an hour. The total was $114, almost exactly what was quoted. He also installed a new toilet seat (that I had previously purchased) and a new water intake for no extra charge. The experience was excellent.

Very smoothly. I wish we could have had the part replaced, but it's an old heater.

The first plumber from Gatti Plumbing (Gus) was successful in replacing the hook-up valves for the washing machine in a timely fashion (approximately 30 minutes). Unfortunately, he was not successful in completing the new dishwasher installation in a timely fashion. The old dishwasher had already been removed and the connection points on the new dishwasher were all located in the same areas as the old dishwasher. The hot water supply line was plumbed directly into the old dishwasher (copper line running straight up through the floor from the basement below). Again, the hot water inlet on the new dishwasher was in the exact same location as the old, so he only needed to change the fitting on the new dishwasher (from a female connector to a male connector) and hook it up. He first tried to use the 90 degree elbow that came with the new dishwasher, even though the water supply line was directly below the water inlet connection on the the dishwasher. I guess he then realized that he could run the supply line right into the dishwasher if he simply changed the fittings. One problem though, I guess he had already cut the existing supply line too short to make the connection. Due to this mistake, he now needed to replace the existing supply line and associated hardware. Upon completion of the install, he starts the dishwasher up to check for leaks, and finds that the new drain hose that came with the dishwasher has a crack in it and is leaking. He recommends that I contact the store where I purchased the dishwasher and have them come out and fix the problem. It ended up taking him 2.5 hours for the dishwasher install, and I still can't use it at this point. The dishwasher manufacturer sends someone out the next day to replace the drain hose. He suggests not replacing the defective drain hose at this time because the drain plumbing was not done properly by Gatti Plumbing. They ran the drain hose directly into the waste line in the basement, without installing any form of air gap. He explained that you could get away with this on older dishwasher models because they had a one-way valve after the drain pump, preventing water from getting back into the pump. Newer dishwashers do not have this one-way valve, so water can drain back into the pump and will destroy the pump in one to two years. So, I call Gatti Plumbing and ask them to come fix the drain plumbing situation, and to please send a different plumber this time. It took another hour for the new plumber to correct the previous mistakes and we were charged for the full hour. The new plumber mentions that Gatti Plumbing did not know you needed to install an air gap (or plumb into the disposal) to mitigate water draining back into the pump, they currently assume new dishwashers have a one-way valve after the pump. All said and done we were charged 3.5 hours for the installation of the new dishwasher. The estimate for all of the work was $250, and it ended up costing around $400.

I called Thursday morning and could have had someone out that afternoon if it fit my schedule. I opted for Friday morning. The plumber sent was punctual, professional, and competent. It turned out to be an easy fix, but now I know how to fix the problem in the future.

We were very pleased with the company's responsiveness, professionalism, and problem-solving skills. The leaky shower drain posed the biggest challenge as this shower had been repaired previously by others and the problem returned. We would definitely call this company again!

It went smoothly. We bought a house with out gas hookup to the kitchen and wanted it. They gave us a quote and it was right on. It took about forty five minutes. They were on time and the scheduling was easy.

The work began with the plumber assigned to the job, who also began jackhammering the floor for me (not part of the original estimate). Part way through the job, however, the plumber received a call and had to go to another job. A very inexperienced apprentice/plumber came over to complete the installation of the vanity and floor removal. He broke part of the existing plumbing (probably due to age) and had to call over someone else to fix it. Overall I believe the job took several hours longer due to the use of the apprentice. What really bothers me is that Gatti charged the full rate for the whole time, even though I do not believe a qualified plumber completed the work. I would not say categorically that I would not use Gatti again, but I will keep my eye open for another plumbing company for future work. I will also make sure that I am personally home when the bill is paid so that I can challenge any inappropriate charges.

It went great! The guy was very professional, quick and cleaned up after himself. He even called before he came over to ask if he could come over an hour early. I definitely will call them again!

Both times went very well. Had same day service both times, very capable and friendly workmen, work completed well.

The firemen who had come to help us mop up the flooded basement, suggested we get someone over to fix our sump pump the same evening. We left a message with the Gatti answering service and were called by someone within 15 minutes. Gus was at our door 20 minutes later. Despite the late hour, he was very personable, knowledgeable and professional. Although it took slightly over an hour, he only charged us for the sump pump and the one hour of time that he'd quoted us on the phone. He also answered questions about other areas of concern and suggested that we may want to have another line snaked during regular hours to save money. We were very appreciative and would definitely call them again if we needed a plumber.

The plumber arrived within the proposed 2 hour time frame. He worked quickly and efficiently, resolved the problem in an hour and cleaned up afterward. The $140 price included tax and parts.

My experience with them went well and he came on time. He was professional and worked quickly. He cleaned up everything when he was finished. He already knew what to do when he got here as I explained it to him beforehand. I am satisfied with the company and the work that he did. I like the fact I can depend on him to show up.

Gatti Plumbing Incorporated really impressed us. They were able to do the work without making a noticeable hole in the wall. The serviceman was a real professional and capable man. He was neat and polite as well. I feel like we got a good price and I would recommend them to others.

I HAD A CLOG STORM SEWER. THEY CAME OUT AND DUG UP THE YARD AND FOUND THE CLOG DUE TO TREE ROOTS CLOGGING THE SYSTEM.

Gatti Plumbing did a great job. The cost for all the work they did was very reasonable. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

I was pretty happy with Gatti Plumbing. The plumber came out and got to work right away, and he stuck to it until everything was finished. He was friendly and polite, and he did good work. I'd certainly hire Gatti Plumbing again.
