Description of Work: Responded to broken garage door cable problem. Replaced cable & pulley and lubed mechanism. Good work and fair price. I will use them again. Only issue, and I did not ding them in the ratings, is that my first call was taken while the owner was driving, and he lost track of the verbal agreement for service, requiring me to call back a week later to get the work accomplished.

Description of Work: My garage door had malfunctioned, causing some damage to the structure of the garage and to a piece that connects the horizontal and vertical rails. I had attempted to repair it myself, replacing the damaged framing piece, and had the damaged piece of the rail system repaired. When I started to put everything back together I did not feel confident that there was no other damage, so phoned Garage Doors Unlimited on Monday, June 23. I was told I would have a call the following day. Unfortunately, I experienced a phone problem and missed their call. After calling back the tech said he could fit me in and would be over that afternoon. When he arrived he seemed very rushed and agitated. He insisted that the framing work I had done was not correct and had me remove it, and he would need to go get and install a full sized 2 x 4 rather than just use what was there. | |Since he was so hurried and kept complaining that every job he had done that day was complicated, I suggested that he come back when he had more time, and that I'd just not use the garage. He said the soonest he could come back was Friday and I agreed that was OK. He said he'd call me Thursday with a scheduled time. | |I received no call on Thursday, so Friday I stayed around the house all morning waiting for a call, and when I heard nothing by 12:15 pm I called the Office. My call went to voicemail and I left a message that I was waiting to hear from them. When I had no response by 5:00 I phoned the repairman, whose number I still had on my phone. | |He apologized for having completely forgotten to call me. No explanation for for the lack response from the office. He said he would have to talk to someone else to reschedule. At that point I decided to cut my losses and use another company. | |The work was done by a different company, using my repair to the framing, which the tech said was fine. |

Description of Work: Gary assessed the problem which turned out to be less serious than I originally thought (my door would not open). He diagnosed a bent rail (which it certainly was!) corrected the problem in minutes and I was able to use my door again right away. It works great!
