Description of Work: Roof was replaced. Roofers did an excellent job, cleaned up well and were polite. Sadly, the little details such as chimney cap and soffit are STILL not done. It's very difficult to get a firm date and time from the office. When the crew comes, they do a great job, so I hate to give a poor review. If you hire them, don't be in a rush!

Description of Work: Jason was very easy to work with. I wasn't sure if I wanted the whole roof done or just my addition. He priced it both ways for me and I felt very comfortable doing just the addition. Work was very neat.

Description of Work: I had Windows and screens cleaned inside and out. Everything about my experience was the best. I would use them again.

Description of Work: They removed ice backup, installed skylights, replaced roofing, installed sheetrock and painted the affected areas. They are very responsive, reliable, courteous and professional. Their estimate was accurate and explained every step of the process. I would use Jason and his team again.

Description of Work: Replaced part of our roof that was leaking and did masonry work on the outside of the chimney.

Description of Work: We had a number of small projects from plaster repair, to door hanging and window glass replacement. Jason came over to do a quick assessment of the tools and materials needed in advance of the job. Joe showed up on time, and took care of all the repairs in a timely fashion. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Description of Work: Installed fiber cement siding on exterior of the house and replace some windows. They made a mess of the job, what was to last a week or 2 ended up taking months, they used my garage and back porch as a shop area making a mess of both. They used my electrical service to power personal heaters. They made no attempt at clean up of the site, leaving debris everywhere - it took me months to clean up my yard. The dumpster and truck they got stuck in the front yard left deep ruts. I insisted on large hold back of funds pending correction of the many problems they created - they made no attempt to fix anything. The workers on the job appeared clueless to me. The workmanship was way below my expectation. I assumed they had gone out of business. I would never have this firm do any work for me.

Description of Work: Complete roof tear off, plywood replacement on some areas, re-roofed with beautiful HD shingles, complete soffit removal and replacement with perforated vinyl soffit, new 6" gutters, additional insulation blown into attic to bring up to correct level, attic fans put into roof for proper ventilation. Jason, the company owner, is very professional, prompt, and willing to please the homeowner. While he has several crews that are used for different specialties, he oversees every job. I had a few issues that needed to be addressed and he took care of them very well. I would definitely use Five Star Home Improvements again!

Description of Work: Did a complete tear off of our roof. Contractor performed work adequately. Pricing was fair and competitive. Communication and final repair of items was lacking. Dumpster was to be removed by weekend, never happened. Also, placed container next to entry door which prohibited parking in our driveway. This was placed there as a convenience for the workers which we did agree to, but, was to be gone by the weekend. This was a cause for concern as the area we live in has alternate parking and issues with vandalism. Paid extra for repairs not covered by estimate, yet the work is sub standard on the repair. It also took over 6 weeks to have this work done. Still not satisfied with this portion of the job. Also, had to call the contractor after the job was done to inquire as to issues we had and payment for the job. I would have liked him to have come to our home to discuss the work completed instead of having to call him regarding the job. Would also have been nice to have him stop by the job site to see if we had any issues while they were performing the work. We felt the contractor should have been more visible on the job site. Did honor discounts provided by Angie's List. Had there been better communication and the repairs paid for completed in a quality and timely manner we would have given the contractor an A rating.

Description of Work: We replaced almost every window in our home. The windows are great, the price was almost half of some of the big window companies.
