They are quite good. I use them every year and they do very high quality work and have very knowledgeable employees.

Feldman workers showed up on time and performed requested services in a professional manner with market competitive pricing. No add ons or any other gimmicks. These guys just show up and do the work required. Have employed them numerous times over about 10 years with no problems.

We were, until recently, long term customers of Feldman Heating. They sold and installed a new furnace and A/C in our condo and we have been pleased with them until our recent annual cleaning and check-up. We were having other work done on the day scheduled so we asked the technician to call us when he arrived so we could let him in the building and introduce ourselves. He was late (left his tools at a prior site) and when he arrived he walked in to our condo (since the flooring installers had propped the door open) rather than calling as we asked. The work went smoothly, but when he came back with the invoice things went very wrong. The technician asked if we were practicing Buddhists (we have a Buddha outside our door). We said we were. He then launched into what I can only call an evangelical lecture regarding Jesus and how we needed to be saved. He peppered it with “I don’t care what others believe” and “people are free to believe what they choose,” but he kept returning to his view that we had to accept Jesus as our personal savior, and the literal truth of the Bible accepted no other faith or belief as true. My wife grew up Catholic, I grew up Jewish, and Buddhism is our practice. We don’t appreciate being lectured on religion, no matter how heartfelt Dave may think he was being. It was obnoxious, it was oppressive, and it was wholly out of place. We reported this to Feldman Heating and received what we felt to be a weak, near apology. We will no longer be using Feldmen Heating & Cooling

They were very responsive (able to come out right away). The issue was simply an old warning sticker that had fallen off and had gotten caught in the fan. It was resolved very quickly, and just charged to the service call to come out and diagnose the issue.

They know what they are doing, they were prompt, professional, and I have been using them for years.

Very well. It always does with Feldman. They are professional, courteous, thorough, and customer focussed.

We have used them for years. I don't know about price because my husband paid them, but as I said we have used them for years, and so I think we think he is fair with his prices.

Provider came out two times (two different technicians) and could not diagnose the problem (which turned out to be an ice-clogged vent pipe). Neither technician called a colleague for a consult when unable to solve the problem; both just said they did not know what was wrong and left. They do not appear to have the necessary experience and expertise.

I called and scheduled the appointment for 2:00 p.m. on a Tuesday. I had another appointment at 3:30, but I figured it would give me enough time; it was a fairly simple repair. I called a little after making the appointment and told the woman I spoke with that I had a shallow pan style pump, to give the technician a heads up so that if he needed a special part, he'd have it when he got there. I left work early and arrive home about 1:50 p.m. The woman calls to tell me the tech is just leaving Fairport and is running late; he should be at my house "within the hour." Considering that I need to leave by 3:15, I explain this to her. She says we might have to move it to tomorrow then. At this point, I'm frustrated because I've already left work early for this and I have to be back there again tomorrow! I can't just stay home and wait till it suits others. Also, given where he was and where I live, they should have known before 1:50 that he would not make it to my house by 2:00. (And, in turn had I known, I could have stayed at work and rescheduled the repair for the next day.) The technician arrives about 2:30. And he has NO pump with him! So he has to leave to go get it. Ultimately, I was only a few minutes late for my next appointment. A few weeks later, I have to make another HVAC repair call. I used another company because I was so frustrated with Feldman. When that service technician came out, he indicated that the tech from Feldman should really have cleaned out some pipe or tube or something that flowed into the condensate pan and was backing up and leaking out where it shouldn't have been (because that tube was filled with gunk.) This second visit cost me another $150. I can't say for sure whether that was really something the Feldman tech should have checked. What I can say is that I was not impressed and will not be calling them again nor would I recommend them, unfortunately. The price was about what I expected.

$We have just had Feldman Heating and Cooling install a top-of-the-line Amana central heating and air conditioning system. I am prone to worry about how things might go after the sales pitch. In this case, I think the whole experience couldn't have been better. The salesman, Dan Hare, had his own company for years and was very knowledgeable--some we talked with, not all, were only salesmen, too intent upon closing the deal and not so focused on providing the best system for my needs. When the providers were proposing different systems, even within the same brand, I wasn't able to make a meaningful comparison. At this point, their prices were $1-3K above my eventual cost from Feldman--$4K from one for a lesser system. With Feldman Heating and Cooling , we arrived at the best system. I was comfortable with three of the other bidders, though more so with Feldman. Then, with Feldman and the others bidding on installing the same system, Feldman won the job and began the next day. The Feldman installation crew was great: they were, to a man, polite, friendly, and knew their jobs. Rus, the team leader, and Mike, his number 1, were focused and intent upon assembling the complicated system. In addition, they were genuinely responsive to my questions and to installing the system according to my preferences. Absolutely no brush-offs. I am grateful that I delt with Feldman Heating and Cooling and recommend the company and its people most highly.

The technician was very helpful, informative and honest. He warned us that he might have to replace the motor for the blower, but tried replacing just the capacitor for it first (as that would save us quite a bit of money). The capacitor did the trick. He was very courteous, respectful and speedy, saving us even more money.

I was impressed that he gave his whole staff off for Christmas and he did a great job at my home. They were very fair priced.

The women answering the phone was very efficient, called me back in less than 1 hour to let me know the technician would arrive within one hour, technician arrived in less than 1 hour. He diagnosed the problem, fixed the problem and provided guidance on how to avoid it in the future.

Our boiler is a very old coal conversion. It had been red-tagged (taken out of service) by Rochester Gas and Electric because of a gas leak. The technician came the very next morning after I called; he was very knowledgeable and efficient.

Original install went well. About a year later satisfied with the furnace and AC units operation - although, ignore the claims of the "tons" of money you will save with a new, hi efficiency furnace, as I figured, was exaggerated. The reason for the low marks - after the original install service. When we noticed the water heater was not performing as it should (my son visited and suggested that it the cold dip tube was defective or broken.) I called and talk to them about it. They agreed it might be the cold dip tube. They sent a repair person out to fix it, did nothing but show up and tell me it wasn't the water heater and left - and charged me $89 for the service call. I called and asked about the charge I was told any warranty labor on the water heater was not covered. Fair enough - however the annual maintenance call to "Tune up" the AC and furnace which costs $120 -200 a year - well, I'll be going without that. If I need any work done, I'll find another heating contractor. Yes, the annual "Tune up" where they try to sell you a furnace filter for $50, which can be purchased at Home Depot or the internet for $20.

The sales guy was honest and reasonable, which is less than I can say for a certain "big" heating contractor. Feldman was extremely fast. They had 4 guys here working over just two days to get this done. All the work was great except for one minor issue with the humidifier on one of the furnaces.

Frank, the salesperson, showed up on time and gave us his expert advice. After we scheduled a work date, the installers showed up on the date and at the time promised, and finished the job in one day in cold muddy conditions. Everyone involved was pleasant and professional.

They've been very good. They have been very responsive. They were very fair priced for their service. They have come out whenever we've had a question. They have also cleaned the furnace on a yearly basis and they have always been professional about it. We were very satisfied with them. I think the owner is Dave Feldman. They replaced an 18 furnace with an energy efficient furnace and added an air conditioning unit which the house did not have. They also provide cleaning for the furnace with a separate charge every year. They've always been very professional and responsive if we've had any questions or issues. They have always been very prompt in answering and very thorough. I thought that their price was very fair and comparable to all the other contractors that we had bids from.

I first met with Frank, their sales rep, and he walked me through the process of purchasing my new HVAC system. He provided multiple quotes for the different systems they offer and helped me make a determination on the best fit for my home and budget. On installation day, the install team (I had Russ and Jim) showed up on time, were courteous and professional, and stayed on task and performed excellent work. I'm very happy with the overall results and experience.

Within 24 hours of the installation, there was water under the furnace. After a service call, it was determined the water was left from the installation, which I believed since the work area had not been cleaned. Within 48 hours there was more water. After a 2nd service call the water pump was replaced and re-routed. Six months later, the air conditioning did not work (the air was not replaced), I was told the Freon was low. After $300 service call, I complained that the Freon was compromised with the furnace install and I was told then if I had an issue with the air in the summer to call and it would be part of the installation and warranty. Feldman was very good about following up and refunding the service call. October 2010 water was under the furnace again, another service all, another part was replaced and the venting to the water pump was redone. As of February 2011 I have not had any further issues to report but I do not trust the installation of the unit and worry about Summer 2011 and the air conditioner although I will comment the servicemen sent to my home all were professional and courteous.

The company was prompt in responding to our needs and competitive with pricing. They also provided an abundance of extra filters for the whole system. The work began the same week we decided to use their company and the workmen were professional and courteous. We would hire this company again.
