From the first phone call to the completion of the work, Mark, Louis and Trevor were professional, helpful and great to work with. You may be able to find someone cheaper, but it's more important to have the work done right. For my next electric project, Ellenwood will be my first call.

Two people showed up promptly, and got all the requested work done in less than the two hours allotted. (Unlike other services I've used, they didn't count both people for separate hours, so I got nearly two hours of work from both of them.) They were prompt, polite, professional, and efficient. Have already recommended this company to friends who needed electrical work, and I'll definitely use them again.

As usual, perfect. I have used Ellenwood electric for many years and while the business has grown, the service is the same. The owner comes out and looks over everything himself before sending someone out. There is always an apprentice and I like to see that.

I purchased an Angie's list deal for one hour of service. We had several bad outlets in the house and the guys came through and replaced 3 outlets in an hour. We live in an older home and all three were no no longer grounded the correctly. The worker showed me what was wrong and why it needed to be replaced. I appreciated him walking me through the exact issues. The workers were very polite and professional and the workmanship was top notch.Additionally, when I originally spoke with Mark there was a three week waiting list. I appreciated he called me back when there was a cancellation and got our house in the rotation very quickly. I would call Ellenwood Electric again the customer service and workmanship is worth the money!

Ellenwood Electric was punctual and performed requested service for reasonable price. Other electricians would not perform service because wiring is more challenging in older homes (my house was built in 1951). I would highly recommend Ellenwood Electric.

It was a difficult job with need to access hard to reach area. Task went without hitch. Workers were neat, polite, highly professional. We have used this company several times in the past and have never been disappointed.

Electrician and helper arrived on time and proceeded to convert 3 pendent lights for track use, removed the existing lights and installed the new pendents our kitchen. Next the replaced a mini chandelier in the kitchen and then installed a dimmer switch for the light. they were very professional and courteous, cleaned up and asked if we needed any help disposing,storing,etc of the old replaced light fixtures. My wife and I were very pleased with the results and would recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

Ellenwood was referred to me by another electrician as someone who works on old historic homes. They returned my call right away, but were unable to schedule the appointment for about 3 weeks. Apparently as other electricians get busy, they prefer to work only on newer homes as the work is easier. Consequently they all refer owners of old homes to Ellenwood, and they get backed up. I didn't mind waiting (fortunately the snow hasn't started yet, so I could live without a working garage). On the scheduled day, Luis and his helper Trevon showed up right on time. It took them almost no time to locate and fix the problem in the garage. This left them with time to address another problem with an overloaded circuit that wasn't on the original work order. I was thrilled to get this fixed, and appreciated them being so flexible and accomodating. Work was done neatly, with everything cleaned up afterwards. I will definitely use Ellenwood again.

A portion of my home lost power, after speaking with Mark Ellenwood he knew that I needed to get this problem fixed immediately to ensure safety. Mark was able to free up a team to provide service. They arrived in less than an hour, traced the issue to an outlet that was a fire hazard. They repaired the issue and had power returned within 20 minutes. Great work, very professional. I would highly recommend Ellenwood Electric and will have them return for additional work!

Made appointment. They called 30 minutes before appointment to confirm. They performed the repair which I might say they could have made larger and I would not have known the difference. They also gave advice about the kinds of bulbs to use outside.

Excellent work done. The two workers were extremely patient, friendly, efficient and competent. They did all of the above and added 2 switch plates for the fans. They put an antique glass light addition to my bedroom fan which looks lovely. I will be scheduling them again soon to install a doorbell system and other miscellaneous things that an old house needs. If you are hesitating to use them, don't you will very pleased with their work and integrity.

Same day service! We called in the morning, and they wrapped up a job earlier than expected and came the same day. Two young fellows who were very professional and courteous. They offered some valuable advice on how to improve our kitchen lighting without spending a fortune.

I cannot say enough good things about Ellenwood Electric!! Beginning with the owner, Mark Ellenwood, who came to my house and provided an initial estimate for this entire job. Mark was professional, punctual, knowledgeable, personable and gave me an immediate feeling that I had the right company for the job at hand. I did not hesitate to book a date for the job, even before Mark left. I had a tight deadline for Ellenwood to accommodate, and they came through with flying colors, despite the fact that they were fully booked for about three weeks out. (I can certainly see now why they were so fully booked, as they are the best!). The day of the job, Ellenwood's primary electrician, Lewis, and assistant, arrived exactly at the time they had indicated. Lewis and Rob wasted no time, and got right to work. On that day, I also had another contractor working in my home on other areas, and the two teams worked in perfect harmony. Lewis was a joy from the moment he arrived, and was one of the most professional, skilled, and personable people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I was amazed at how quickly, and proficiently the job was completed. Lewis's expertise is second to none! Upon completion of the job, there were no surprises, and the estimate provided by Mark, was exactly what I paid! When does this ever happen??!! In conclusion, if you are in need of an electrician, especially in an older home, don't look any further...hire Ellenwood Electric today!! I give them an A+++!!
