Very professional from start to finish. They returned my calls promptly, scheduled an appointment for the next day, called before they came, quickly assessed the problem and repaired it, and the bill was less than I expected. Courteous and competent service throughout.

This was a very satisfying experience from start to finish. Mark promptly returned my initial call and gathered all information about the job. Upon agreeing on an appointment date and time window, Mark gave me the option of a call ahead of the electrician's arrival. That is exactly what happened, when Luis called to let me know that he would be arriving within 20-25 minutes. When Luis arrived (within the original time window), we reviewed the job and he went to work. He completed the job with one-half hour. Luis was efficient, personable, neat and helpfully explained how a light bulb could most easily be changed in the new light fixture. (This sounds like a bad joke, I know.) I will not hesitate to call Ellenwood Electric again.

He is always on time, can always trust the crew. The crews clean up after the job they are professional. He always gives great advise and knows what the problem is.

They actually showed up 5 minutes early which is a rare thing in today's world. From talking to the owner on the phone to the two installers (Luis and Thomas) they were thorough professionals. Work was timely, courteous, and clean. After I settle in to my new house I will call them back for a few more jobs.

Excellent. The electricians showed up promptly and were very helpful. Got the work done quickly and showed me what they did. I am confident that my feral and my house can be warm and stay safe...in all weather. In this HORRIBLE winter, that hookup saved my feral cat's life. He could never have survived without the heated pad in his shelter and his heated water bowl. Ellenwood's service was literally life-saving, and it means so much to me! I will ALWAYS use them.

Work was scheduled quickly and performed efficiently.

I had a dentist appointment however my wife was home. She told me 2 young guys came & did the replacement,she was really happy with their professionalism during the whole process. We both are very happy as the heater is working fine & with the new breaker we no longer have any concern for any fires.

Louis and Donny came and did the work. Both were great!. They did exactly what had been discussed, cleaned up, were on time, and friendly.

Employed this company twice for upgrades in an old home (upgrading circuitbreakers, installing more basement lights, changing out ceiling fixtures, installing new plugs). They did an excellent job. More important, when there was a little damage to a window from installing one plug, they immediately paid to have it fixed by another contractor. Highest level of professionalism and honesty.

Provider explained everything that needed to be done and was very professional as well as knowledgeable. Really appreciated his honesty. Would definitely use Ellenwood Electric again and in fact I have them coming back in the summer for other work.

We had a great experience with Ellenwood Electric and would highly recommend them to anyone. The day that we got an estimate, we were trying to figure out how to fit them in with the contractors working on our master bedroom. Mark was able to fit us in the same afternoon and we couldn't be more appreciative. The guys came back the following week to perform the rest of the work and they were always on time and actually finished up sooner than expected both days. These guys were very professional and take the time to understand what the customer wants.

They changed it so that the outlets work independently. If one trips in the future, only that one will be affected and the others will still work. It will also make it easier to narrow down the reason. I found both Luis and Don very professional and polite. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Mark came out and priced the job. Scheduled me for installation and sent me a contract promptly. No deposit required. Louis and Donny came on time as scheduled. Made a change I requested on the fly and completed the job professionally and quickly. No mess. Paid by check and got a receipt in the mail within two days. Outstanding service all around.

Mark and his team were absolutely outstanding. We knew this job might get complicated because we had old wiring in our house. When meeting with Mark for our estimate, we were immediately impressed with how much he knew about his craft. He talked us through all the different aspects of the job, recommended contingencies for various problems that might arise, and assured us that he and his team would make sure that the job was done correctly and thoroughly. His bid for the job was more expensive than the two other estimates we received, but he was far and away the most knowledgable person we met with and we were the most comfortable with him. Ellenwood turned out to be well worth the extra money. On the day of the job Luis, Mark's assistant, showed up on time and got to work right away. He walked us through each part of the project before starting, checked in with us frequently to ask about our preferences, and was able to thoroughly explain everything involved. He even stayed until 6:30pm (nearly 11 hours) to make sure everything was done correctly and to our satisfaction. He had one complication with the installation of an arc-fault breaker- the circuit at two hots instead of just one, which wouldn't work for the breaker they intended to install. Luis got right on the phone with Mark and they figured out a solution to the problem, which involved ordering a different part. While we waited for the part to come, they refit the old breaker so that we could still use the circuit. Luis came back two weeks later when the part arrived and installed it in 30 minutes. The entire job, from start to finish, was outstanding. We will never use an electrician OTHER than Mark Ellenwood.

It went well, though there were some glitches that they had to take care of as the prior owner was a "do-it-yourselfer".

Mark and Luis are incredibly knowledgeable about older houses. Luis was professional, fast and efficient. He explained clearly what he was doing and did the work very neatly. I was amazed at how much he got done in one day. He will be coming back to install several lighting fixtures once we have bought them. This was a great experience from start to finish. One of the best I have experienced.

Fantastic. Luis was amazing, and they are now our go-to electrician! I called Ellenwood b/c Nichols Electric doesn't work on old homes (Nichols did our last job). Anyway, we had just listed the house and as luck would have it, one of the lights in the basement suddenly stopped working. Even though they were booked solid, they managed to squeeze us in because we had literally listed the house the day the light stopped working. They came out, fixed the problem, and even replaced a switch for us because we were still within the hour's service.

We originally contacted Nichols Electric, but were told they no longer worked on wiring in older homes. They recommended Ellenwood Electric to us. We saw that Ellenwood was also on Angie's List. When we scheduled the date with Ellenwood they gave us an approximate time in the morning, explaining we would be the 2nd call, that the arrival time would depend on how long their 1st appointment would take. The repairman they sent, arrived fairly close to the time they had estimated. Lewis was very neat, pleasant, and professional. He checked out all the wiring we asked about, giving us safety tips and answering all of our questions & concerns. He told us things to look out for with the problems we had been having & some to watch out for in the future. Due to his advice we checked several of our outlets after he left and found one that could have been a hazard. We would not hesitate to call Ellenwood Electric again, Lewis was an excellent representative for their company. The service call was well worth the peace of mind it gave us. ,

The guys at Ellenwood did a great job starting with coming out and providing a detailed estimate of the work they recommended based on what I wanted. They were very confident and provided very good explanations. They are experts when ti comes to working on old-homes. Ellenwood was not intimidated by my homes age (built in 1902) and knew exactly what they'd have to do to get the job done. I had other people (rated A+ on agies list as well) quote the same job, and seemed very intimidated about the work and did not catch many of the things Ellenwood pointed out until after I showed them, at which point they agreed to what I suggested. Some companies did not even bid on the job due to my homes age. When the contract was signed, the guys came out as scheduled and worked their butts off. They were very respectful of my home, cleaned up after themselves, and didn't leave until the job was perfect. I trust these guys completely to work at a fair price and will use them in the future as we continue to remodel our home.

He was very professional and pleasant, and showed me how the box should be properly wired in the future. He also checked the GFI box in the bathroom, and educated me on checking it regularly for proper safety functioning. He just charged me for a service call, $69+ tax. I had my lights back on within an hour of my call.

since the circuit breaker is old the spring mechanism did not work properly and did not flip to the off section. Luis explained what happened and corrected the problem and instructed me how to correct any future issues. he did recommend a circuit board but did indicate that I could wait a few years to replace

Great job. It's a patio home with an odd roofline. They really had to work their way around the crawl spaces to get where they were going.
