Scott arrived, after calling first, promptly. He took a look at our system and ran some diagnostics. He explained what he was testing and why it was important. We were happy to learn that our dryer was performing optimally and venting properly. We live in an older house, and anyone who does knows that certain things have been "jimmy-rigged" down through the years. That was the case with our dryer vent, as its current placement did not lend itself to installing a new, more modern one without a fair bit of hassle. Scott told us how we could easily clean around the hinge of our vent damper so that it would close properly in future. He also gave us additional suggestions for some simple DIY ideas we could further implement to keep future pests away from and out of the dryer vent. He was very honest and did not try to up-sell us, as so many others have in the past. After he left, both my husband and myself commented on how refreshing it was to have had such a pleasant and informative appointment, and not be left with the unsettling feeling that we had just been taken advantage of. On top of all that, he gave us a discount on the original (already reasonable) inspection price! Would definitely use him again in future and recommend to others.

Scheduling was no problem, called prior to arrival, gave estimate and how long job would take and completed within time frame and to my total satisfaction.

After inspection and testing, we found that vent was never attached correctly and not up to code. I had Scott install a rigid vent with universal attachment. He installed from dryer to the outside and put on a new louvered vent.

It went perfectly. The pipes were much more clogged than I could believe. He replaced the entire venting at what I thought was a reasonable price. He is meticulous and did the job right. Our dryer ran completely different (in a positive way) Money worth spent.

Went great. Scott and I decided it was better to replace everything and do a thorough cleaning of the dryer. A week later and no regrets. Drying is getting done in one run on the medium heat setting. I have not doubt in my mind that 1) we will save a lot of money and 2) I prevented a fire from occurring. It was scary the amount of lint build up in the pipes AND the dryer. I definitely will continue to use Scott's services to do regular cleanings.

Scott came and did an assessment of our dryer ventilation. He determined that the hose on the back of the dryer was too long and also that there was a decent amount of build up in the vent system. Also, the lines from our washer were severely corroded. Scott was able to replace all the hoses and lines as well as perform a thorough cleaning of the vent system. Before the work took place, a normal load of laundry took 1.5 hours to dry on low. After the work was performed, the same load now only takes 40 minutes on low..

It went very well; the air flow from the dryer was increased by 36% and the air exiting the house increased by 26%. The new connector is fireproof; while the old one was fire resistant. This is a family owned business and Scott Koepke, the owner did, all of the work himself. He made some measurements on the airflow and made some suggestions to improve it. He gave us a cost estimate and the final cost was right on. We are very pleased with the work and have asked him to put us on his reminder list for our next visit.

It was quite a process. Scott arrived at 8:15 and left at approximately 11:00. He worked on taping all the breaks in the dryer vent from the dryer out to the vent outside. The amount of lint that was "stuck" in the hose was amazing! He did a fantastic job, my dryer is drying clothes again and there is no lint in the vents. He was amazing. Our vents were not hooked up correctly when we purchased the dryer 3 years ago. So glad we called Scott.

To the untrained eye, the project seemed simple: The laundry room is on the first floor, right next to an outside wall. Thought it would be a straight shot. Not so, unfortunately. It seemed like every which way we tried to route the vent, there would be something in the way! Ultimately, we ended up having to route through the garage and outside the roof. This will explain the higher than "internet average" price. Scott, who installed our vent, was extremely patient, friendly and thorough with his efforts. He was at the house for about 7 hours, and every time he felt like I could add input, he would get me and talk me through what he was doing and what kind of options I had. His work was clean and thorough. He himself was also clean and left the areas he was working in cleaner than when he got there. He also helped us get a baseline reading of our efficiency of our dryer, which will help in the future when we get an inspection in a couple of years. Lastly, Scott was extremely passionate about his work, which is something I would not expect in something you don't think about too often. I'd highly recommend Dryer Vent Wizard of Rochester for anyone in need of dryer vent work!

Awesome!!! Scott showed up on time and was pleasant and professional! He did a reading that showed I didn't need a cleaning but he got up on the roof and got off the stray lint that was up there. Great service!!

Scott is professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. After completing the inspection and preparing an estimate, he walked me through every part of the estimate and clearly explained what needed to be done and why. Efficiency of my dryer has been greatly improved and venting is no longer a potential fire hazard. Pricing on diagnostic inspection and cleaning were typical cost, but cost of repairs seemed a bit high.

The process took nearly 9 hours as our installation is extremely complex and rather poorly designed. The original installation was not good. The first cleaning was only moderately effective. Scott decided to do this entire process right. Scott is an focused and caring professional. He planned this entire process carefully and executed every step with careful precision and a deep concern in getting the job don e right. The final product is simply outstanding and excellent in every way.

Scott did a great job. Very professional and easy to talk to about what he was doing . Would not hesitate to use him again if I need the dryer vent cleaned and or repaired .

Scott was extremely knowledgable, competent, thorough and unusually generous, putting time and effort into educating us if interested (which we appreciated!). He respectfully explained every step of the job before beginning the work. he was careful, considerate and cleaned up completely after doing a beautiful job.

While the price seemed expensive he spent approximately 5 hours doing a lot of professional work at the house. He had the right equipment to get past the elbows and clean out the duct. He used an air sled to move the stacked washer and dryer about 6 inches to a foot out from the wall to get behind it. Our laundry area is a tight space he dealt with it just fine. Our roof is somewhat steep. He had a special roof ladder designed to be used on the roof when climbing a steep roof. Scott did a great job. He is professional, experienced and a great communicator. If you want it done right I suggest you contact Dryer Vent Wizard of Rochester. Clarification: Scott performed all of this work at my elderly mom's house in Webster, NY. She is deaf so I dealt exclusively with Scott while visting my mother. Just to be clear in case Angie's list is confused, I live in Florida but I was on site in Webster, NY where and when all of the work was performed at my mother's house.

Scott did a thorough inspection of my dryer vent system, cleaned the dryer vent (a vent that runs 30 feet across basement with 4 elbows), installed a new vent cover, and cleaned the lint screen tray and trap. He also alerted me that he smelled faint gas in the line connecting the dryer and advised I call a plumber. I promptly did that and am waiting for his arrival right now. Overall, this was a very positive experience! Scott is very professional, considerate, personable, and outstanding in his detailed attention to dryer vent safety. Excellent company to choose for dryer vent cleaning and maintenance!
