Description of Work: Sales experience was poor. Showed up late with a lame excuse for being late (first impressions matter). Didn't listen closely to what my goals were (wanted a non-wired solution). Kept focusing on the old wired system and proposed building off of that. Despite my tight schedule (because he was late) and asking to wrap up/conclude things, he kept talking and veering off on tangents. Killed the sale. Won't be going with Doyle if this is their first representation of how things will go (late, unprofessional, not listening to the customer).

 + -1 morestill getting bills and collections papers this place is like a cult you can never leave I recommend everybody stay away from this company our winter trip in 2016 the system didn't work and we still gotten those for the last four months our system has not worked in over a year yet they still want to get paid for the service they do not provide
Description of Work: Put in security System in 2009 said the system was out of date in 2010 me to sign a five-year contract in order to pay hundred dollars for a $200 item.in 2015 they said it was out of date again and would not work although our contract was now over we decided to cancel with after numerous attempts to cancel we still getting bills and collections papers this place is like a cult you can never leave I recommend everybody stay away from this company

 + -1 moreThey were professional, knowledgeable and excellent. That includes the salesperson to the people that monitor the place and their quick response when I set the alarm off. We actually interviewed three. I got recommendations from neighbors. They were a good recommendation.

Description of Work: We were looking for a home security and life saving sensors for our new home, with a central system. From the time I contacted Doyle by phone to get initial information (I believe Tom helped me), through the time spent with Ed Schoepfel (sales) and through the installation and training ... all staff were professional, very knowledgeable about the products and suggested solutions for our home and helpful with training us on the system in our home and online (Total Connect system). I highly recommend Doyle.

 + -1 moreNo work was completed.... not even the estimate. UPDATE 5/21/2014: The CEO of Doyle contacted me by phone and email and offered an apology for the poor service as well as an explanation. Sometimes things get by even the best of companies and while I'm disappointed it happened, I accept his apology and explanation. I would consider doing business with them in the future if the need arises.
Description of Work: Contacted Doyle for an estimate for a comprehensive security system to include video. A man named Jason showed up and did a walk thru. Told me he'd have a email estimate to me within 3 days. It's been over 2 weeks and nothing. I've called him several times and left messages on both his cell and at office. Zero contact back. Horrible customer service. I will definitely be using anyone but Doyle.

 + -1 moreI talked to other people with other providers and it seems like Doyle Security are a little slow in responding. I did hit the panic button once by mistake and they were right on it but I would like the response to be quicker on other things but I believe that is just my own anxiety, I don't think they do anything more differently then other people.
Description of Work: I used Doyle Security for security alarms and it has a fire alarm on it too.

I would give them excellent overall. Their price is normal. The place is excellent. They are excellent in everything. I would use them in the future.

 + -1 moreWhere ADT's response to some of our needs was "it can't be done," Doyle's was "we'll make it work." We had had issues with ADT before, and were less than pleased with their service. Perhaps because Doyle is more "local" their service seems more responsive. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone installing a new security system.
Description of Work: We evaluated ADT and Doyle for providing an alarm system in our house. While the ADT estimate was almost half the price for installation, because of the complexity of the system, it would have cost twice as much per month for monitoring. In addition, the ADT rep never responded to follow-up questions, whereas the Doyle rep did (although even he needed occasional prodding from our contractor, and at one point we were so frustrated we almost gave up and went with ADT). However, the rep was extremely thorough in evaluating our needs and responding to our concerns; the installer was also very thorough, and followed up immediately regarding open issues. We were impressed with the sales rep's long-time experience with the company, and his ability to answer most of our questions on the spot, without having to consult with someone behind-the-scenes.
