Don's Custom Decks and Remodeling

Last summer(2020) I contracted with Don to replace an old deck with a new composite deck. From the initial meeting and throughout, Don was extremely easy to work with. I had ideas on how the deck should evolve and he was extremely receptive. He brought his own ideas to the task and the result is something we are very happy with. His crew were hard workers and always cleaned up after the day was done. I would strongly recommend Don and his crew if you want a beautiful deck.

We decided to finally replace our 25 year old pressure treated deck with a new maintenance free polymer deck. After deciding on materials and interviewing several different contractors and receiving estimates from all, we decided to go with Don. I can say without reservation that he and his crew did an outstanding job. The deck looks amazing. They began work when they said they would, the final price was very close to the original estimate and they communicated with us very clearly at each step along the way. They also did a great job cleaning up every day. 100% would recommend.

Don's was one of four local deck builders we interviewed. We chose Don's Custom Decks and weren't we pleased we did! From our first meeting, Don was receptive to our ideas (we designed the deck layout), made suggestions that improved the overall look of our plan, recommended we use a grey Trex Decking and talked knowledgeably about the construction process in language we understood. We agreed a price that was slightly over the mid point of the other quotes we received and they started on the day we selected. Don's small team were amazing. Carlos, Lewis and Johnny have worked for Don for a number of years and it showed. They worked well together and were a pleasure having on the property. At each stage of the construction, Don checked that we were happy with progress and even when we requested a couple of add ons to the project, he dealt with it without a big too do and within our agreed budget! They even put right the damage caused to the lawn, not much, but they did without a fuss. We have have an amazing outdoor space that looks stunning. When the town Building Inspector came to check out their work, it was reassuring to hear him say that we were in good hands! We couldn't be happier. So, if you're planning a new deck, look no further. We could not recommend Don's Custom Decks more highly!
