Send an internet request for a quote. Received a call Monday that I missed. I returned the call 2 later and left a message. They called back Tuesday saying they just got the message. Set up an appointment for Thursday, 2/21 between 10am and 10:30. It is now 12:30pm and I have not seen or heard from them. THANK YOU BUT NO THANKS!

Luke's crew showed up on time and were finished on-time with little if any dust in surrounding areas. The floors including the shoe-molding were glistening when we arrived home. They did our morning room, kitchen, hallway and foyer.

Luke was easy to deal with, answered all our questions and was prompt with getting back to us. The work was efficient and his 2 employees who worked on our floors were wonderful, came when they said they would, repair done along our cold air returns was top notch. We felt very safe leaving them here while we were out of the house for 3 days. We couldn't be happier!!!

I am a new home owner. Every project is a new "adventure" for me. I am thoroughly pleased with the professional service from Discover Hardwood Flooring and Design. I was given a written contract in advance for a new floor of approximately 200 square feet.. There was no change or addition to the contract at the last moment. The work was performed on the day promised. The workmen were very polite and respectful of the furnishings in the house as they moved their equipment into place. The entire room was completed in eight hours (one full day) as promised. It looks wonderful. I am thoroughly pleased with the outcome. Luke got the job because he was the quickest to come out and estimate the work. I called on a Saturday at 9, and he shifted his schedule to come out later that morning. We ripped up old carpet in our new house to discover some damage to the floors. Luke came in, got down on the floor to inspect some trouble areas, and went into the basement to inspect the sub-floor. He was able to schedule his team for early that week. Luke worked with 2 other guys, pulling up boards in the damaged areas, hand setting ever nail new and old, sanding the floors, and refinishing the natural oak. I saw the effort that goes into this type of work and it is definitely back-breaking hard work. Our floors came out nice, and Luke referred me to some other contractors he knew. All in all a great group of guys. Hardwood repair is expensive, price may be negotiable.

Luke was great, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Was prompt and went right to work, took extra care to make sure rooms not yet worked on were blocked off.

Under the advisement of our real estate agent, who we very much trusted, we called Discover Hardwood Flooring and Design LLC. Most of our house is hardwood, and we needed a complete refinishing (sanding, filling, urethane). Luke was VERY responsive and informative, making sure we completely understood what would happen and why. He also steered us away from a more expensive type of finish, since it was his experience that it was not as robust as that which he recommended. After researching online the approximate price of refinishing hardwood floors, we found Luke's estimate to be quite fair. Given the amount of sqft (near 2,000), we were told the job would take approximately one week, but the crew finished early. The end product was wonderful, and the individual boards look to have much more character than before. I would definitely use Discover Hardwood Flooring and Design LLC in the future.

I have had this company refinish all rooms in our house. Very honest and truthful, reliable and clean. The new floor he installed matched the 60 year old hardwood in other rooms perfectly. So you can use the BIG GUYS and get the BIG GUY service or choose DISCOVER and get personal and professional results!

The guy that came looked at my floors and described what he thinks needs to be done. He explained the other things that the other company didn't do correctly. He described what he would do. He knows what he’s doing. I think they would do a very good job.

I contacted Luke back in mid-May based on a list I received from my realtor. This was while I was attempting to get quotes with about a half dozen other contractors. I found his response to friendly, professional, and - despite a minor hiccup meeting up in the beginning - the quoting process was smooth. The job was handled very well, expectations were set appropriately, and a couple of issues with the floor that cropped up at the beginning of the job were very flexibly handled. The results are a brand-new looking, gleaming floor, without any issues, and a happy customer. I will add that the pricing was extremely reasonable compared to other companies in the area, and he was more flexible and willing to odd things, such as move furniture for me at an extra cost - which most other companies would not bother with. Highly recommended, ignore the bad reviews here folks - he is one of the best hardwood guys in the area.

Overall, the guy was a joke. He had every excuse under the sky for why he wouldn't do it. I will never recommend this guy to anyone I know. I can't wait to hear more excuses on him.

Stellar experience with Discover Hardwood Flooring! Our request for quoting refinishing our bamboo flooring was met with an immediate and professional response. Bamboo is odd material and its refinishing is contingent upon a number of factors. Luke took the time to work with a sample we provided before committing to the job, a job refinishers are reluctant to even take on. After actually confirming our specific material ( bamboo) was suitable, he provided us with a very fair price, date, and time for the project to begin. After that....smooth sailing all the way. On time, extraordinarily efficient, mindful, and attentive to every detail. The result was beyond our expectations. Very pleased. I recommend Discover without hesitation or reservation. Excellent workmanship and good people.
