It was a good experience. We gave the idea for what we wanted and he provided feedback about styles and designs that would work. It took about five days from start to finish to complete the whole work. About five people came out for the work. We had used them in the past for painting and used them as well for this deck. He was also recommended from friends. He didn't try to upsell much and worked with my budget. He let me know of some things that we will need to do for maintenance in the future so it's not a surprise.

We found a card for Dano's at our Doctor's office. When I asked them about the referral they have great things to say about the company. Even thought at the time they were not on Angie's List, with that referral we added them to the list of quotes (we received 5 total). We recently purchased our home and the couple that we bought it from painted all of the downstairs walls. After being in the home for a while we noticed all (and there were many) the imperfections with the paint. Dan was on time and listened to my concerns about my walls. As we spoke about what I wanted to do Dan had some great ideas on how to update the look while they were here. After listening to his great ideas, we decided to also remove all of the brown wood moulding on the floor and replace it with updated white wood moulding. He has some samples and it really made a difference. The thing i really liked about his quoting process is that he had ideas and was just giving me options. When i decided not to go that route, he didn't try to "sell" me on why i should "really listen to him". It was just nice and easy. The other thing i really liked is that he was able to give me a written quote on the spot. This was completely different from all of the other contracters that took days to get back to me. It truly showed me that i was working with a professional and not just someone who could paint. We were able to schedule the job for a couple days later and Dan arrived with two other crew members. They were all very professional and made me feel very comfortable with them in my home. As the job progressed they found little issues and brought to my attention. They would give me the options to proceed and i was always waiting for the additional price tag. Other than some plaster work that i requested, it never cost anything more than the quote. Their painter is probably the best i have ever seen. Didn't need to spend a day taping off everything and did everything by hand. I inspected the job as he went along and there wasn't a single drop of paint spilled. He even left the job with perfectly white drop cloths and clothes. I was honestly AMAZING! The cuts on the trim were perfect! There wasn't a single, make is close and fill it in with caulk corner. Everyone that comes over raves about the difference that their work did. They were always looking for ways to go above and beyond and answered every little question or concern i had. Over the next few years we plan on adding a deck, finishing our basement and updating the roof. Dano's Painting And Roofing will be our first call for all of it!
