Description of Work: The gentleman who came to provide an estimate was arrogant and cocky, and when asked why his price was almost 2x of the other estimates we obtained he stated that he could not speak for other companies, but "I'm not worried, you'll be calling us." He was wrong - we went with a different company and were extremely pleased.

Description of Work: Called Dan Fulmer Co for a small job - replacing some trim that had come off near the roof of our 2-story house in a wind storm. They came promptly to give an estimate, and came back when they said they would to do the job at the price they quoted. We were not home when they came to do the repair, and they called later to make sure we were satisfied.

Description of Work: Removed snow pack on roof. Cut "drain" channels in ice dams. Completed a temporary patch to the base of two vent pipes which had deteriorated boots. Removed all snow from driveway and walkways. They arrived on time (actually were able to complete the work a day ahead of schedule), worked professionally, answered all questions, and completely cleaned up. Cost was the estimate provided. I'm a satisfied customer!

Description of Work: despite the fact I said I didn't want windows an apt was made by Dan Fulmer rep to look at windows. The rep came and look and then promptly said we don't do repairs. The first line of my email contact to all providers was "I don't want new windows". Maybe I wasn't clear enough ?

They are very capable; they do very nice work; and they are efficient and quick. Their prices are reasonable. The entire job took them about six hours of one day. All I had to do was a little touch-up painting.
Description of Work: They installed a sliding patio door, as a replacement for a door of pretty much the same size.

 + -1 moreThe representative that came to the house for an estimate was very friendly, but professional. He provided me with an estimate on the spot after we discussed the job and he made some measurements. No sales pitches or high pressure. I thought the estimate was very reasonable and hired them. It took about 3 weeks for the windows to arrive and they scheduled the installation very quickly after that. It took one day to install all the windows and 3 days for the trim work. The guys were friendly, courteous and professional. They worked at a steady pace all day long and hardly ever took a break. In fact they skipped lunch on the last day to make sure they could finish. They cleaned up at the end of the day and you would hardly know they had been there. The quality of the work was excellent, especially the trim.
Description of Work: I had all 16 windows in my house replaced and all wood trim wrapped with aluminum.

 + -1 moreWork started within a reasonable time of quoted start date. Tear-off was sloppy, three years later I'm still finding roofing nails and pieces of old shingles and siding lying around. An agreed upon percentage was paid up front. The siding sub-contractors were dragging their feet on completing their part of the job, and the foreman wanted to be paid in full before the job was completed to our satisfaction. Next winter and two call-backs later, the roof leaked, a sizeable water damaged window had to be replaced. Still not fixed right. Had to hire ($400)a home inspector who pointed out their most glaring examples of sub-standard work. This got the contactor and another group of subs back who all acted as if they never heard of the kind of deficiencies described. They put in their hours to "fix" the problem, we'll see. They still won't pay the $400 for the home inspector, so it seems like small claims is in my future. What a MESS!!!
Description of Work: For an 1800 sq. ft. one level ranch, tear off of two layers of roofing material, reroofing the entire house. Ice and water shield to 3 feet, flashing all required areas and especially around the chimney. Tear off of old siding, insulating, taping up with Tyvek tape and re-siding with Vinyl siding. Removing two windows in an attached garage, and replacing with low-E glass vinyl replacement windows.
