Comfort Windows

I had initially gotten estimates from three other contractors, two of which had lower estimates than Comfort Windows. I ended up choosing Comfort Windows because of the professionalism shown by Sandy, its Sales Representative. She was very thorough in her answers to our questions and never did try to twist our arms into buying their windows. After two meetings with her, we were convinced that the quality of their product and service was good enough for us to go with Comfort Windows. And she gave us a little discount, too, on the total price.There were two installers (Keith and Nick) who arrived on the scheduled date on time. They were very polite, professional, and efficient. They also cleaned up after themselves, that after each section was finished, I couldn't tell they were even there in the first place. The place was left so clean! I highly recommend Comfort Windows ... and I will use them again in the future.

Comfort willingly collaborated with the roofer to ensure that what they were installing was compatible and to arrange appropriate timing for each of them to do their phase of the work (windows first, followed by roof, followed by siding and then the roofer will complete the gutters). This was a pleasant surprise and very helpful. Comfort is a very professional company! The workers were quick, polite and cleaned up after themselves.

The man who did our estimate was sort of a typical salesman. The actual laborers were ok. Here are the negatives: They trampled part of my garden and ripped off quite a bit of paint on the trim of our windows. They installed one window upside down from the way that I had asked. They also gauged part of the tim while putting a window in. But the product is good. My husband and I didn't complain to the company because we're pretty easy going.

The salesman came and looked at the job. He got back to me a couple of days later. The company declined to do the roof work saying they did not do that type of work. Then he gave me a totally outrageous price to insulate the garage. I assume they just did not need or want the work so they gave a price that was out of bounds.

The two installers arrived on time, were friendly, and finished slightly ahead of schedule. I was impressed with the quality of their work including the fact that there were no scraps or leftover parts left inside or outside my home. I would definitely use them again and am willing to recommend them to friends or family.

They did a lot of work. They did a good job with regard to the siding. It was well done. They followed through. They were very neat. I would recommend them. They were good. I would use them in the future if I needed to.

They are very professional. They do very good job, and I have used them several times. They are reliable, and I recommend them highly. Their prices are fair as well. They backup what they do. Three years ago they did the porch lock, and I called them last week to check the lock as it was not working. They came and replaced it and did not charge me anything for it. Their price is comparable or better than the other companies.

I spent about $1360. They removed the old door and installed the new one. It was very good. I was very happy with them. I will use this company again in the future.

Salesman was prompt, showed me different windows, features and cost. asked me about my income and I was available for some discounts. we did the windows first. Then set up another appointment for the energy audit a week later. After that result came in we set up another meeting , went over all the options and then had the insulation done. The only problem I had was that they didn't pick up some of the old material that ended up on my lawn and after 1 call they returned promptly and took care of it.

Very professional and thorough from the initial estimate (in Sept '09) explaining the types of windows and the installation process. An initial home energy audit (end of Sept '09) was done and measuring/ordering of the windows. Installation began in Nov. '09 and took 3 days because it was a big job! The installers were very nice and did a great job but one window was the wrong size, one was cracked and one was not quite what we expected it to look like. The manager came out the next day to discuss the issues and the windows were reordered right away. The reordered windows were installed in early January 2010 and all is now well. Another home energy audit was done a few weeks later. Our house is now quieter from outside traffic noise and less drafty and we are pleased with the end result. It just took a little longer than expected due to the few windows with issues but you kind of expect a few hiccups with the size of the job that we had done.

I had a good interaction with the salesman that came out. She was punctual, friendly and informative.

After researching the cost and qualifications of several companies, we finally decided on Comfort. Price for this job was higher than we expected but Comfort was the best of the companies we contacted. Salesman was helpful although pricing points were a bit confusing. Showroom was nice and display of products is good to help buyer make choices. Once materials were ready for installation, it was determined the job would be approximately 4 to 5 days and a date was booked. 2 man crew showed up daily about the same time and left promptly by around 4pm. They didn't say too much except when asked. That was OK with me as long as they were making progress. Last day of job there were 4 guys so that another day wouldn't be necessary. After completion and crew was gone, I noticed that the clean-up effort was not very good at all. I ended up sweeping and vacuuming metal chips, wood chips and nails from my deck and driveway! I contacted them the following day and sent pictures for them to see. They were very responsive and apologetic after my call and e-mail. They did some follow up service to the windows (crank, caulk) and I am pleased with the results.

Their price was fair compared to other quotes, their windows are comparable from what I can tell, and they were very willing to work with our work schedules and special family needs. They were very efficient, cleaned up after the job and did a good job. The salesperson did not pressure us, the workers were polite, the office staff was helpful. They delivered a product and services as you'd expect from a business, something that seems to be hard to find these days.

It went very well and they did a very good job. They worked in all kinds of miserable weather and they did a good job. I also liked the salesman because he came very prepared with things that are low-end and things that are high-priced and he was willing to work with me to find something that was a good fit and that I could afford. They put insulation in the attic and the basement crawlspace which took a week, and the siding took about two weeks. We kept my old soffit but they sealed the windows; I got a lot of estimates and they were definitely competitive. My house is so much better and the insulation worked wonders! Now that the heat is back on, it doesn't have to run as much. They were excellent with clean-up and they even starting helping me with things like bringing in the trash bin at the end of the day.

The whole job went very well. The salesman was knowledgeable, polite and thorough. We chose Comfort from four other companies for their price, product, warranty and local reputation. The installation went very well. It took two and a half days for the whole installation, which seemed quick. The two guys worked diligently through the day to get it done. The final result looks great. Thanks Comfort!

Overall, it was professional from estimate to delivery of service to follow up. Friendly and knowledgeable are words that come to mind. We will definitely continue replacing our windows with this company.

Comfort Windows is very responsive and professional. They installed two layers of high-R board and a new panel of sheetrock to the ceiling. Afterward, they mudded and sanded the drywall for painting. Unfortunately, the painter we hired to repaint the ceiling said that the drywall was not ready to be painted, as the finishing was not properly done. According to the painter, the tape would have peeled right off the wall/ceiling if it were painted. CW then sent a team to redo the mudding and sanding, but once again it was not ready for painting. CW sent a third team to prepare the ceiling. After this third attempt the ceiling was deemed ready to be painted. Unfortunately our dining room was unusable for about a month during this process, and all of its furniture needed to be shoehorned into a smaller space. I'm hoping that the additional insulation and the new sliding door they installed will limit/eliminate the ice dam problem we've had in previous winters.

The process went very well from start to finish. The sales rep was very knowledgeable, and convinced us that French doors were not the way to go for our situation. As a result, we had them install a sliding door. It's a dream to operate, especially in comparison to the old door. I am hoping that we experience much less heat loss through the new door, but that will be tested this winter.

They did an excellent job. The workers were friendly, knowledgeable, they worked fast and did a fabulous job. They also cleaned up well afterwards. We are very pleased with our new doors.

Chose this company based on Angie's List review and a neighbors recommendation. I couldn't be any happier with their work. I live out of state and bought a foreclosure property in Greece. The existing windows were from 1964, leaking, broken and falling out! I needed replacement windows FAST! I was in town for just a few days. Needed to choose the windows, have the existing ones measured and then get the new ones ordered and in a.s.a.p. Once I told them my dilemma they truly went out of their way to take care of me. They had the salesman meet me at the property that day and then even got someone to measure that day. They told me it could take up to 6 weeks to get the windows in when I needed them in 4. Guess what - they came in and were installed within 4 weeks on the EXACT date I needed them in by!!! It was really hot that day and within a fews weeks of installation it seemed the caulking "shrunk." We called and they quickly came out to re-do all the windows. No hassles. They even re-caulked a couple of existing windows for no charge. Although more expensive, we went with the locally made, dual pane windows from Syracuse. I believe in keeping work locally if at all possible. They were more expensive but the quality is far superior. A wise choice and I highly recommend them to others. We need the basement windows replaced now so I will be calling them soon! P.S. The cost of installation was higher because the existing windows were so old. New ones had to be "retro-fitted." They did a beautiful job.

The salesman was very professional, provided visible sample of the windows, clear pricing, all of the installers were great, and explained everything they did. I was surprised at how little mess there was, from all the work they did. It was completed in a timely fashion, and they were able to obtain Energy Star grant to help pay for the work.

We decided to have an energy audit done to see if we could improve the energy efficiency of our house. They came in and performed the audit and gave us a number of choices and we selected the crawl space and the attic. They completed the job in three days and we would recommend them to anyone.

I received this company's information from Angie's List. I was able to view the window choices from their showroom. An employee completed measurements prior to ordering the windows. They were very proactive in giving advice and making certain all areas were done professionally. They provided an energy star program which is a compensation by the state. They made me aware of the program. Also, they completed an energy audit which allowed me to receive it. I was extremely happy with the end result.

The project was beautifully done. The crew that did the work were knowledgeable, carried themselves as professionals, very clean, and Tim specifically, is an emerging craftsman. He built a railing that is not only necessary and functional, but beautiful. They all went the extra mile to ensure my comfort with the project. The guys were pulled off of our project, causing a slight delay (four days). This was definitely the fault of the person who schedules projects. The crew leader and the crew built this addition, which is very important to us, as if it were his own. I am impressed (and am not easily impressed!).
