Comfort Windows

From beginning to end Comfort Windows was easy to work with. The salesman (Pat) was no pressure and was thorough with pricing out all different levels of product they offered. He had product samples of each of the different types of glass that go into the sash and was complete with his description of how and where the window is produced. The windows from beginning to end are manufactured in NY State, which likely is a contributor on why the product is a little more expensive. It's all made in NY State; glass, frames, vinyl, everything! In an age where everything is made overseas, it's nice to see an American made product! When it came to installation the 2 man crew was very professional. They were thorough with the aluminium trim, window install, caulking and cleanup. If a beautiful new window wasn't in place, I wouldn't have even known they were there after they cleaned up. My only complaint is that the caulking bead work was not completely smoothed out, so there is quite a big amount of rippling when you look at the window from the outside. Before they left, the installers showed me how to use my new windows. I can already tell a difference with a cut down on draft and noise pollution from outside and it has only been a few days. I have 4 more windows that need to be replaced, and when it comes time to do them I will not hesitate to have Comfort install them. Thanks! Kev

Went very well. Excellent attention to detail. Went above and beyond what I expected. Had a surprise problem come up. Was very happy with way was resolved. Workers were prompt and very respectful.

They were professional and kept us informed from the original visit for the estimate to the final touches. They arrived on time, did their work and cleaned up afterwards. The new windows look great and we'll probably use them in the future for additional windows.

Sales person was knowledgeable, engaging, and negotiated. Measurement and installation visits were on time, and the workmen were neat, efficient and cleaned up very well after themselves. I have inspected the windows after three months and I am very satisfied with the job.

We never heard back from them but we've used them before. I just wanted to see their grading just to be honest. They were great but we wanted them to do something that they didn't do and they told us that we needed new windows for a brand new house. I thought my husband was going to kick them out of our house. It's like are you kidding me...it was like a new built...it was funny.

We had a good experience with them. We had not used them before. Their after insulation service is incredible. We had a couple windows that changed after some time, you couldn't move them up and down very well. We called them, somebody came out, and fixed them without a charge whatsoever. There was a little tear in 5 screens during the packing and I didn't even realize it after, and I took them back, and got them back in 3 days with no charged and completely re-screened. They were very courteous, and they were also clean. They cleaned every inch of everything that they did. We've had many contractors and some of them leave a mess, you couldn't see where these guys were. They did extremely thorough job of insulation with great insulation. We have experienced such a great reduction from sound from outside, and from air from outside. The quality not just from the people, but the product is incredible. My sister-in-law had some windows done by them about 8 years ago, and they still get those guys to do things with the windows. They had some bees that got inside the insulation, and these guys came out and cleaned them without any charge, and this was 6 years later. The sales people were courteous, and the guys that came out to work were clean. We have seen others that are a little less expensive, but I don't think I would make a different decision because of what we thought we were getting and it proved true afterwards. I would recommend them.

Sales rep came and gave estimates for replacement window gave a down payment.Next, man came out to measure. Comfort called beforehand, and gave me his name as a security measure. Windows spaces were measured and windows ordered. Windows came in on time and an appointment was set up for install. Install was done. The installers were pleasant and professional. Clean up was great. I paid the balance.

Initial contact was very pleasant, and subsequent services were done professionally. The original 4 windows were installed poorly, causing the Comfort Windows men some difficulty, so the process took longer than originally expected. To install the new window, the men had to cut through the exterior siding, and install the window in the previously prepared rough framing. All went well, and cleanup was very effective (only found a few bits of aluminum on the lawn, probably originally hidden by snow). The cost was a bit higher than originally expected ($4,511.00).

Their 17-month, interest-free financing made it possible for me to replace all of my windows without taking out a home equity loan. Salesman Chris L. was very accommodating with my Homeowner's Association requirements, and he deserves credit for any future customers Comfort Windows gets from my neighborhood. Only two complaints: (1) The window ratings weren't provided in Comfort's literature, and I had to specify that I needed to see them in writing. Pace and Rochester Colonial gave me that info during my first contact with them. (2) The installers were very professional and cleaned up after themselves ... except they didn't clean the windows. My mother has purchased windows from 3 different vendors, and 2 of them cleaned the windows after installation (3rd installer told her that wasn't "his job"). The winter of 2014 has been extremely windy, with sub-zero temperatures. I'm very thankful for my new windows.

Went very well. The two installers were here on time each of the two days. Work was professional and clean. Picked up materials each day.

Do to the type of construction of this building, this job took extra effort to get it right. The two men that preformed this job had the skill, tools and material needed for the job. The three new doors look good, work properly and provide far more security for our home. Comfort may have cast a little more than other contractors charged, but it was well worth it. We will be calling on Comfort for future work on our home.

All I got was the estimate.

The finished work at first was not as expected, soffits had dents, one of the sills were slanted and looked horrid .I noticed the sill before the work had been completed and pointed it out, I was told there was nothing they could do because it was an old house. I was not happy and called the supervisor and explained to him that with the amount of money being spent they should be able to do better than that, He said he would have the same crew fix it. The crew chief got a nasty attitude and said again there was nothing he could do. I called the supervisor again and asked him to come and look over the job. He did and said he would send the same crew back to fix it. I was livid at this point and explained that I did not want to see that crew person near my home again. The supervisor sent another crew and they were able to fix the dented soffits and align the sill within an hour. It is a shame that you need to complain in order for people to take pride in their craft.

they were great. they were on time and very professional. Cleaned up everything.. I have flowers around the house and I told them don't worry about them but they did and my flowers were not damaged.. They gave us a 4-6 hr window for installation and it was 6 hrs...

This experience started out pretty well. A representative met us at our house and discussed two different options for a sun room. After about an hour, we had decided on two different layouts that he would provided quotes/estimates for. He said it would take about a week to design them and get them in the computer at which point he would get back to me with the quotes. After about 10 days, I sent them an email asking about the quotes. I got a response telling me that he was waiting on me to decide which design we were going with. I didn't have that impression what-so-ever. When we left our meeting he was going to provide quotes for both designs and then we would decide which one we were going with. At this point I asked him to please provide quotes for both designs as I originally requested. After another 10 days of no response, I sent another email and got no response. A few days later we signed with Frontline Remodeling to build our sun room. I am so happy that we ended up with Frontline Remodeling instead of Comfort Windows and Doors. I will not be calling Comfort for the doors and windows we still need for the rest of the house.

They did a really good job on the presentation for the windows, but I want to use them in the future because of the quality of their windows. Price wise, they were a little bit more. The quality of the window for energy efficiency was a thousand times better than the rest of the windows, but because I am selling the house, it would be a waste of money. Their demeanor was outstanding, and they were very good.

Everything was good; they were professional and the work was good. They do windows, sidings and doors.

If I had not just been laid off I probably would have chosen them to do the job. I still may if my budget allows.

All in all it went well. It took longer for the job to be completed then expected. Some of this was due to weather, some was due to help issues and the incorrect shutters were ordered. Also, at one point the electric was dissrupted in a section of my home for a few days. I was not happy about that. But, an electrician was brought in and the issue was solved. The crew chief was very friendly and helpful. The one thing that I did not like was the siding crew had to install the garage door opener system. They did not have experience at that task. But, for whatever reason it was deemed by management that they "couldn't " free up the usual crew for garage door openers. So, the siding crew basically used a day to do that job instead ofworking on the siding project. On a positive note - the house looks fabulous! I am very pleased with the outcome. AND, it seems to be very sturdy as the winds we have been having lately can attest to. I would use Comfort Windows again because I believe that other companys would have run into some of these same issues. However, I would be more forceful in my approach. After all....I am the one paying for it.

The person doing the estimate did not make any mistakes. That is a major plus because I have others that do and then they come back with addons. The workers arrived when they said they would and worked very efficiently at replacing my windows. The vinyl trim was perfect and my florida room never looked so good from the outside or the inside. I would definitely use them again.

Everything went smoothly. Comfort gave us quotes for several different options - we chose the lowest cost as we don't plan to be in the house much longer. Salesperson for various reasons thought it would be better to do a more comprehensive job (well, that's his job, after all) but didn't pressure us at all. The old window wasn't that old but was installed incorrectly; it leaked and didn't slide properly. New window works well, plus Comfort did a much better job of finishing and matching the trim on the outside of the house. Both the salesperson and installer acted courteously and professionally.

Overall, they were pretty good. They had to come back for repairs, but they did that when they said they would. They followed through with the work.

Brian was very easy to work with, assisting us in selecting the appropriate window and door configuration for the room. The crew did a great job in a short period of time, and cleaned-up after completion. The room has become so much nicer and more functional.

In general, very well. They were punctual, mostly neat, and responsive to any changes we asked for. They built me a platform for my laundry equipment and moved the dryer vent. The project did take longer than I expected - over a month; towards the end, it was clear that they were in a hurry to finish. A couple of small details were left undone, but when I called Adam about them, he came and fixed them. My husband laid the floors - a vinyl tile - and he did say the rooms were not perfectly square, but in general I am very happy with the results.
