Description of Work: I had a damaged section of my driveway ground out and repaved. The work was done neatly and looks great. | |What impressed me most was when I asked Tony, the owner, to give me a quote on having the rest of the driveway sealed and the cracks filled. He told me it didn't need to be sealed, but just fill the cracks before winter. I then asked for a quote on having the cracks filled and again he impressed me by telling me to stop by the shop and buy a gallon of crack filler and do the job myself to save money. | |I've never done business with Tony in the past but that day he gained a customer for life. How many contractors do you know turn down the opportunity to make a few bucks? Here's the kicker, he gave me the crack filler when I showed up at his shop the next week. You have a customer for life and your company is the first and only I mention when someone asks about a reference for driveway work. Thank you.

Description of Work: First please note that I'm forced to rate overall when it's not really fair to them - my only experience of issue I can rate on was the lack of follow up. The woman I spoke to was pleassant and friendly. | |I called and spoke to the person listed in thier add or website. I explained we had a reather large driveway and wanted to have half sealed this year and half next year and I would like to establish a realtionship with them whereby they come back every year to seal half the driveway, which is more like a small road. I'll bet the entire driveway is the equivalent of 20 plus normal size driveways. I was asked about the address and gave it to her and she commented "we really don't like to go out that far" we primarliy do work in Chili. I asked where they were located and said that perhaps we were 20-25 minutes from them and we were actually in the Town of Chili and not the Town of Scottsville as our mailing address would imply. The only reason she gave me was "the cost of gas" and I thought well that doesn't make much sense even if it was another 2 gallons of gas at $4.00/gallon both ways. They could have easily made that up in the cost of the job becasue it is so large. The bottom line was that she said she would check and get back to me. She was given phone numbers for my office, cell and home but no one ever responded one way or another which was disapointing because they received good reviews which is why I called for a quote. I can only speak to the lack of response - there wasn't any follow up. I'll bet they do good work but it would have been good to hear from them. Lastly on my way to work not 2 days later I noticed one of their trucks on the other side of Union Street which when calculated is further from my house than where they were working. So I'm stumped!

Description of Work: We used College Bound to seal our driveway this summer. It was the first seal coat since having a topcoat put on last season. They responded quickly with a quote and had the lowest price so we went with them. My only complaint is that for quite a large driveway they were finished in about 20 minutes & I would've liked for them to take their time & be more careful, especially around the edges of the driveway. Overall, they were fine but I think I'd rather pay a bit more next time & use a company that's more concerned with doing the job well rather than getting it done quickly.

Description of Work: We hired them for snow plowing second year in a row. Last year they only had to come a couple of times with little snow for the season. We still had to call them as they did not show up for the first snow of the season. They said they were coming and had to be called again and then they showed up. This year we had the first snow of the season today and once again they did not show up. We called and no one answered so we kept calling. Finally at 11am when all my neighbors except those with College Bound had their driveways plowed someone answered our telephone call. She said they had already come when in fact they had not. She said someone would be right over.......once again an hour and a half later no one had come to plow the driveway. When I called again and told them I wanted my money for the contract returned and a return call stating their intention.....I am sure you won't be surprised when I tell you nobody called me back....Thank goodness I have great neighbors who shoveled me out. This company is horrible! The story ends with us calling Chili Landscaping - they were fantastic and said they could be over in 20 minutes. They were here in under 20 minutes and did a great job cleaning up what was left. We have secured their services for the rest of the season.

Description of Work: I got 4 estimates for driveway sealing. We have a pretty large L-shape driveway. The highest estimate was $240.00, the lowest estimate was College Bound Sealers (now at 2117 Buffalo Rd #295, Rochester 14624)--they gave an estimate of $165.00. We set up an appointment for 2 weeks from the date of my call.

Description of Work: driveway sealing were fast and efficient with a good price. Will use again.
