Celtic Patios and Concrete

We hired Celtic Patios to build a 16" x 28" concrete patio. The owner (Mike) was very helpful with suggestions for how to layout the job and options like microfiber and steel mesh to increase the strength and durability of the concrete. Their quoted price was very reasonable for the quality Celtic Patios provides. Preparation for the pour is the most important part of the job.The excavation and gravel base was done extremely well. The pour went well and the concrete was finished perfectly. We couldn't have been more pleased with the project.

Mike was a delight to work with. He did a very professional job and went above and beyond to even out the foundation of the entire step.

Mike is hands down one of the best stone workers I have come across. He was upfront about what it would take to get our front porch and walkway looking great and his recommendations on materials were spot on. Our project came in on time and on budget. I doubt I will need masonry work done anytime soon but If I do my only call will be to Celtic Patio and Concert. I have referred him to several of my friends and neighbors and I am hesitant to share one of Rochester best kept secrets on the web but work like this deserves recognition. Make the call you won’t regret it!

The project went great and looks good. there were delays in the project but they communicated really well whenever they might hit a delay and what the plan was so I was happy.

This was a difficult job, requiring a lot of thought, and a lot of know-how and craftsmanship; Mike Healy provided all of that to our project. What made the job more difficult was that we preferred to re-use the old bricks (that fit in with our brick house facade), and to keep the concrete slab that formed the core of the stoop. Mike had a great attitude, being happy to do the job the way we wanted, even though tearing everything out and re-building from scratch would have been easier, and probably more lucrative for him. Mike was delayed in starting because of circumstances beyond his control. Once he started, he showed up on time, put in long days, and worked extremely hard and diligently. And the results reflect everything I have mentioned: skill, conscientiousness, and also real pride in his workmanship. In short, he did a beautiful job! This review would not be complete without mentioning Mike Healy's personality. He is a friendly, likable, and wholesome young man, who, in addition to being an excellent mason, is a pleasure to have around.

Mike Healy of Celtic Excavation was wonderful to work with. He was patient, thorough and accommodated all the curve balls that the City of Rochester threw at us doing a construction I had to do for the house due to the 2017 Wind Storm. It was sheer delight working with him and I'm glad my neighbor introduced us.

Mike is punctual, expedient, very fair price wise and at the end of the day it was like he haden't been there. Site was always tidy, and squared away at the end of the day. He was very pleasant to work with and displays all manners of professionalism. Work quality was as expected - right on. We plan on having Mike provide more service in the very near future.

Mike helped create loose stepping stone walking paths through a large yard and in the gardens. He created an informal patio and re-did the sealant between 30 year old entry pavers. Our entry looks new again! A+ for professional work done to our complete satisfaction, and appreciated for his attention to detail. Clean up was done daily, and Mike and his help were fantastic to work with.

Mike is an awesome craftsman! His quote was prepared in a timely manner and he listened closely to what we wanted for a new sidewalk. He made suggestions and we loved his ideas. He did everything he said he would do and he did it when he said he would do it - something that hasn't always been the case with previous contractors. Mike's price was very reasonable and when he was done we thought it was a great job with great quality and on budget. We love the "European" look and the brushed finish make the walkway safe and slip-free. The wide finishing makes the sidewalk standout and people always comment how good it looks. Owner Mike was great, he came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate quickly after my initial call, then adjusted it no problem when we changed our mind about size and location. Started job on time and kept to the schedule he gave us. Workers were very polite and respectful of our yard, jobsite was kept neat and organized. If I ever need additional work done they will be the first call I make, and I would highly recommend Celtic Patios to anyone looking to have work done, they did an amazing job!
