Well, I purchased a home. They slopped together a new furnace in there, but they didn't vent it right. So, Betlem came in and they enlarged the vents, replaced some stuff, added a humidifier, booster fan.They did an excellent job. They actually came in a little under the quote. One of the people that I had quote, he came in, he looked at things. He was kind of disheveled a little bit. He kind of didn't really want to be there. These guys came in wanting to be there, came in with professional attire. They were very courteous, very thorough in looking at everything, very thorough in explaining everything. Like I said they came in slightly under what they quoted. They cleaned up after themselves. When they came in they had professional tools. They were very clean, very organized. I was blown away, I was really impressed.

Outstanding!!! The work was exquisite! Their service and workmanship are outstanding? They came in $100 less than the quote and their 'People skills' were off the chart. I won't call anyone else for my heating and A/C needs. Betlam Residential (not to be confused with John Betlam) will get all of my heating and A/C work going forth.

When my AC quit working I called them, they sent out a tech to check it out, would cost $1200.00 to fixed (unit is over 15 years old. I ordered a complete new AC and Furnace, but wouldn't be installed until 07/25/2016. In the mean tile I went in to the hospital for some major surgery. When I got home I called them back to see if it could be installed early. Explained why, Craig their salesman said not really, but would have a technician out within the hour to temporarily repair my old one till the new one was installed. He did exactly what he said he would. I have AC now. To me that is high and above normal business, and I thank them very much. They now have me as a loyal customer.

I am not sure now whether we needed a bigger one. I don't use it that often anyway.

There is nothing they could have done differently. They did try to get everything as clean as they could. I remember them saying my ducts were very dirty and they cleaned it all out. I was happy with that.

It was over $1,000 and I am not sure I overpaid or not, somebody told me I did. I thought they did good work and they were very conscientious about it. In other words, they did not try to sell me more than I needed. If I did overpay it is because I did not know any better. I was happy with the service. They were very responsible. I have had them come before and they both come out right away as soon as we call. They were very professional. I have been using them for quite a few years. They did exactly what they said they were going to do.

I've been looking for a vendor to help me out with leaking in my Geo system (pump and dump). Dan Moffat from John Betlem came out and was very quickly and confidently able to offer a solution. I was very pleased! When it came to complete the job, it was completed quickly and correctly. I was blown away!

All went well except we called in the beginning of May and they scheduled service for 7-22-2015. they said they don't do much furnace work in the summer but if you remember we endured 40-55 degree day and nights in May. It was like camping out for 2 weeks or so.

Service tech ( Reuben) arrived on scheduled time and called about 1/2 hour before arrival. He was neat, friendly and courteous. I invited him in the house and he put on booties over his shoes for cleanliness. I explained the problem with the zone that was not heating properly. After checking the main boiler we examined the problem area. It was determined that the valve to that zone had only some surface corrosion and did work properly. The valve had been closed and he opened it and we turned on the heating system. After 10 minutes running, each room of the house was examined including the problem area and found to be producing heat as expected. He also showed us how to use the valve in each section of the radiation to bleed off any air that might effect the performance. This was an excellent experience and we kept our cost to a minimum. We contemplate future work and will definitely use Betlem as our preferred provider.

They were responsive. The price was competitive. The installation by the tech was on point.

My old thermostat needed to be replaced. Options for new digital thermostats were presented and explained to me. The gentleman installed the thermostat I selected and explained its operation clearly to me. He was punctual on arriving at my home and was professional ,yet friendly in his manner. I am very satisfied with the new thermostat and its ease of use.

1. The estimate provided by Steven Betlem was $200 to $300. I was floored when he presented the final invoice for $800. 2. The two technicians did not properly bleed the air out of the system, and subsequently had to return later in the day to complete the job. 3. The next morning I discovered a water leak that was due to a cold solder joint ( as told to me by a new technician sent out to fix it) 4. Betlem promised to fix the leak on 9/3; finally at 4:30PM they called to tell me that the repair technician would arrive at 5:30PM on 9/3. In light of the bleed issues of 9/2, I refused the visit and rescheduled them for 9/4 AM. 5. The technician indeed fixed the leak, but he had trouble bleeding the system as well - he had not been trained to work on my specific furnace. His work was thorough and of high quality.

I arrived home at 7:30pm one very cold evening to find the house at 53 degrees. The furnace was not working. I called Betlam Residential, as I used them before for maintenance and found them to be reliable and affordable. They had many calls that night but were able to send a Technician over within an hour. Nate got the furnace running with a temporary thermostat. The next morning Cindy (at their office) managed to get a technician over that morning with the part I needed. I was able to go to work that day . Thank you Nate, Mike S. and Cindy.

They were fantastic. They did it all in one day. They went above and beyond what they were supposed to do. They were really good. We'd recommend them to anybody.

We had a leaky valve on a hot water radiator in our old house. Although it wasn't bad enough to turn off the furnace, it was starting to stain the dining room ceiling over the past several months. I decided that it was time to get it repaired before it got worse. I called Betlem because of their #1 ranking on Angie's list. The person on the phone was very courteous and polite. However, their next appointment wasn't for another 2-3 weeks. Considering that the problem was not critical and their rating, I decided to wait to use them. They told me someone would be there between 12-4, so I took off 1/2 day from work to be at home. On the day of the appt., they were very prompt.... the plumber called right at noon and said he was on his way. He arrived promptly, and although was young, seemed to be knowledgable of the old hot water system we had. After looking at the situation, I asked him for a quote. He said he could not do that because until he opened up the floor and inspected the pipes, he wouldn't know the scope of the problem and repair. He said it would likely take 5 hours to complete. I questioned it, as I am familiar with the system and felt that was a little much for replacing the valve and a small section of pipe. He explained that he would need to put down plastic and tarping to protect the carpet (which I appreciated) but said that would take and hour. I questioned this... an hour to put down plastic??? He tried to explain - - going to truck to get plastic, taping down, putting tarp down... he then backed off and said maybe less. Then he said the repair could take 5 hours. I felt that was a little over estimated... realistically 2-3 hours was my thought. He went on to defend this and said that he would try to reduce it, and he would do time and materials, so I would pay only what he worked. I felt I was already into this so far and agreed to Tand M if he would try to do quickly. He laid tarps out on carpet up the stairs and through the room, but when he removed the radiator, the black, oily water dribbled out on the carpet which was not covered! He then replaced just the value and a small section of pipe. While he did a good job on the repair, he was rather slow and took at least 3 phone calls during the job, all while still charging me. He was slow and inefficient, having to go back to his truck multiple times to get basic tools. Then a partner came and he spent at least 15 minutes talking to him. After the repair, he slowly cleaned up while the furnace heated up. I told him not to bother to wait too long, that I could take care of the rest. In the end, he charged me for 4 hours, and extra fee for "Diagnostics" and $100 for a $25 valve. Overall, he was prompt, professional and completed the job well, but was slow and very expensive for what we got. They would be good in emergency, but not cheap.

Everything went well. Professional, fast, knowledgable. Also priced very reasonably compared to some of the other hvac businesses in town, and I've tried a few others.

This was a great experience from the sell to the installation to the performance of the product. The salesperson,who is the company's service manager, clearly explained product lines as well as the pros and cons of various installation configurations. Our installation presented some challenges, so he took the the time to inspect our basement to make sure install would work for our situation. He thouroughly explained the various install options. The installation went smoothly. Workers arrived on time and were very professional. The installation, in addition to being functional, was beautiful. Care was taken to run piping and wiring in the most unobtrusive way possible. During installation they found that the tankless water heater, that had been installed by another company, did not have its' own breaker. They ran a separate line for that at no charge. Cleanup was immaculate. So far we are thrilled with our Lennox system! It performs so much better than the 14 year old unit that came with the house. It is well worth the money.

Our AC stopped working in November, so we thought we would wait till spring to have it fixed. Came back from vacation last week to find the furnace motor running, but no air being pumped. Called Betlam to come out and diagnose, fix, and perform maintenance. I use the website to contact them. Entire appointment was set up by email which I really liked. They also cautioned me that the AC maintenance would be dependent upon the weather. The technician was right on time and got right to work. Regarding the furnace, it turns out the pulley was probably lose for some time, which is why it came off. Unfortunately, since it was loose. It was slowly being worn down from the inside out, which will in both the pulley and the motor spindle, requiring us to replace the motor. The technician was patient in showing me exactly what the problem was. Fortunately, the AC was only a blown capacitor which was quickly fixed. General maintenance is performed on both the AC and the furnace and a slight discount, I believe, because I was having both the same time. The only reason for the B grade regarding responsiveness because it took them over a week to place the charge on my debit card. But all in all, I would recommend this company.Our AC

We have them here every fall for maintenance. Their pricing was fair. These guys are actually really really great. They came here to install our air conditioning unit, the time was an unfortunate time, as my mom had cancer and she was just transferred over to hospice care. So, I was with her at hospice and then I came home to let them in to do the air conditioning. They were going to be here probably most of the day, but they wrapped it up really really quickly. They ran their tails up to get it done so that I could get back to the hospice. So, it was really remarkable and they did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them.

They were timely and quick. They were very efficient. When they came to the first meeting with us, and get the information for the quote, they were very detailed in what they did and what they explained to us. My husband really liked that they ran a hose that catches the condensation from the air conditioner into the existing sink rather than in the slab of the basement. They were really good, except they messed up on the thermostat; they gave us the wrong one. They were really good about replacing it. The quality of their work looks really good. My husband was very pleased.
