Todd inspected and cleaned our furnace. He gave us advice to change filter, need new thermostat, and possible need new furnace because it is very old. He advise us to contact our gas company to provide us a rebate for getting new furnace.

The owner made arrangements to come on a Saturday am to clean and check my furnace which was great. He arrived on time and was done within 45 minutes. He showed me how to clean some of the common parts that fail which was nice. He seemed very knowledgable and offered to come back another time to check the A/C because it was too cold that day. He did not charge for the A/C cleaning and said the price will stay the same even though he has to come back on a different day. very satisified.

The replacement went extremely well. I couldn't be happier. Todd Kiley has integrity. As a woman alone I have to take care of these issues on my own. I wish there was a Todd Kiley in every company with whom I do business.

A day or two after purchasing the big deal Todd (the owner) contacted me to set up a time to come and perform the service. He suggested a date and time that unfortanately did not work for me but he was very willing to work with my schedule. Todd showed up on time and was very pleasant to work with. I had both the furnace and the A/C tuned up. They explained everything they were doing and showed me what they were doing as they did the work. My furnace is around 20 years old and Todd did not try to pressure me into replacing it. He actually told me that it is good condition and I should get at least a few more years out of it. My A/C unit is only a couple years old so he checked the pressure and the fittings (he also check a few other things but I don't remember what they were) and he said everything was fine and he didn't even charge me the additional $25.00 because there wasn't much to do. Todd and his partner (I'm sorry but I do not remember his name) were great to work with. They did a great job and when I need furnace or A/C work in the future I am going to give them a call.

One word - fabulous!! From their quick action to their very respectable price quote to their professionalism and detail to their work. - this was hands down one of the best companies I have ever worked with! Todd was caring and thoughtful on the phone - putting me at ease that I would not be pressured, but that his people were available. He even came over to check to see first if they were maybe to fix it first. (Another company wanted to charge me $86 just to walk in my door!!) After a very fair price quote - the job began with in hours and the heat was on before I arrived home from my job. The basement was cleaner than when I had left it and no stone was left unturned to make sure the work was done properly and up to the highest level of workmanship. His workers were considerate and represented his company wonderfully with the care and time they took. I am a teacher and mom and have little time to mess around with the "runaround" and do not have the resources to pay the CRAZY prices people will come in quoting. With this company, you know you will get his best offer and will be EXTREMELY happy with the timeliness and workmanship after! Thanks Berkeley! We will be having you back for our servicing and for the A/C (when that goes) too as finding someone you trust in this business is not easy!!

Very well. The guy showed up on time, was professional, and offered advice on cleaning the A/C without being pushy.

We did considerable research before deciding which company we would hire to install our HVAC system. We discovered that all major brands perform about the same. The biggest decision therefore, comes down to the installation. We got a number of estimates and Berkeley Heating and Cooling just gave us the confidence that they were going to do it right. And they did!! We highly recommend them and will be using them again when our Hot Water Heater needs to be replaced.

I read the reviews carefully and chose Berkeley. I called and talked to Todd right away and made an appointment for Monday morning. He arrived with a helper that he was training. They got right to work vacuuming and cleaning the furnace. They also went outside and cleaned the A/C. The whole thing took about an hour. I was able to pay for this service online which I thought was very convenient. Todd was very personable and did a great job! I would definitely call him again.

I was looking to get my furnace, central A/C and hot water heater replaced since they were all past their expected lifetime. After looking through a lot of reviews here on Angie's List, I decided to try to find some small companies that had received good reviews. Berkeley Heating was one of the companies I found, so I went to their website and used the submission form to request a quote. The next day, Todd the owner called me and scheduled a time to come out to give me an estimate. He was very accommodating to work around my schedule and amazingly came out at 5 PM on a Friday afternoon. He inspected my existing equipment and I explained what I wanted to replace. I had a crazy setup with an exhaust pipe running about 8 ft from the furnace to the vent. I asked if that could be changed by moving the hot water heater near the vent. He said no problem. All throughout the estimate he was very no-nonsense and even advised against some costly upgrades that had been suggested by other companies that had given estimates. After a couple of days to gather more estimates, I decided to hire Berkeley and they were able to schedule the job for about a week later. He said the entire job would only take one day. On the installation day, he showed up with four other guys and they simultaneously removed the old pieces and installed the new equipment. During the installation, a few times Todd brought me down to the basement to give me updates on their progress and to explain what they were doing. I asked a lot of questions and everyone was very patient and answered everything. They basically worked non-stop from the time they arrived and were finished shortly after 5 PM. When they were done, Todd went over all of the equipment and explained all of the controls. They did a very clean install and paid attention to the details. Also, they cleaned up after they were done and you would never have known a few hours earlier things were all over the place in pieces. They also did a few details that I liked. When they moved the hot water heater, they extended the water lines using copper. I had two other quotes where they were going to extend PEX from the existing copper. One other quote added $200 if I wanted copper. Berkeley just did it as part of the job. On the exhaust of the furnace, they installed a flat termination kit outside so the PVC lines to/from the furnace. This gives the exhaust a finished look instead of the PVC 90s you see for a high efficiency furnace. For the central A/C unit, they installed a new electrical box with a shielded line, as well as adding a filter to the lineset. All in all, I'm very pleased with the job done by Berkeley. In the end their quote was right in the middle, but after some research I liked the equipment they proposed. I qualified for an RG&E rebate and they handled all the paperwork so all I needed to do was fill in a couple of blanks and send it off. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking to have this type of work done.

this was an enjoyable experience. Todd Kiley had so many responses to his Angies list ad, that he was performing inspections on the weekend, if the customer was okay with that. He did my service on a Saturday. We had a tentative time set up. He called about a 1/2 hour before that time and said he was running late and asked if that was okay or if I wanted to reschedule. I told him I would be available all day and anytime was fine. He called 10 minutes before he was leaving his previous job to make sure it was okay for him to come here. Once he was here, he was very professional and very knowledagble. In addition to a very through inspection he made a couple of minor repairs and did not charge any additional fees. his service was far less than any other A/Cnds. I've found a new and long term Heating & A/C repair man for all my future requirements.

Another GREAT experience with Todd Kiley ad his Company. Mt A/C unit stopped working on Sunday 8/12/2012. I left a message for Todd Sunday evening and he returned my call within an hour. He said he would call me Monday AM once he got into his office and checked his schedule for Monday. He called early Monday Morning an indicated that he could check out my problems in the afternoon. He called twice to update me as to how his day was going and when he would be here. He got here within 2 minutes of when he said he would be here (he wasearly). After investigating he originally thought the fan motor was the problem. After further investigation he found the problem to me a damaged wire gong ot the fan. It appeared that a "critter" had chewed through one of the wires. He was able to fix the shorted out wires and get my unit workig within 15 minutes. He noted that the fan motor was leaking oil, but rather than replacing it, he said it couls last another season or longer and said there was no sense inreplacing at tis time. Wouldn't most repair folks jus replace the motor???? On top of that, he has a Service call charge and a labor charge, as ALL service folks do. Do to the fact that it was such an easy fix, he onlycharged me the Service Call cost....he did not charge me the basic labor cost, and thee was himself and an assistant on tis call. He saved me 50% of what his standard charge would have been. Todd, your the greatest.

Very well! Mr. Todd contacted me through email to set up the time. He came when expected, and followed up as he said he would.

We had to change the times, but when he came (Jim?) he was on time, efficient and friendly.

He was punctual, polite & friendly. Answered my questions patiently. Performed the service quickly. I pointed out a deteriorate insulating material around outside house & he returned later (again promptly) & replaced it.

We recently moved into a new home and after a few weeks discovered that the a/c wasn't working. We called Todd Kiley for an estimate and he explained that on our old unit the compressor had stopped working. We also asked him to check out our very old furnace and then discussed our options. We decided to replace both the a/c and furnace and took Todd's advice on the size of the units. The work was done two days later in a very efficient manner and included a new concrete block for the a/c unit to stand on and the area around the unit was cleared. A new digital thermostat was also included as well as a free inspection in the fall. The work was well done with no mess and everyone was friendly and helpful. We would definitely use Berkeley a/c and Heating again and recommend them highly.

Mr. Kiley was very professional. He explained what he was doing gave me a verbal report on my air conditioner & then mail me a report the next day.

Todd showed up on time did a through inspection. Gave us good advise on what to watch for and what we can expect.

Todd Kiley contacted me by email to schedule my appointment after I purchased an A/C Tune-up through Angie's List. He and his assistant were pleasant and professional, taking the time to explain what they were testing and why. My unit tested well and Todd took the trouble to show me some simple preventative maintainance that I can take care of myself. They even emailed me the results of the A/C testing so I can keep them on file. I already knew that I'm overdue for a furnace cleaning so I was happy he pointed it out. I'll definitely have them back in the fall to take care of it.

He was very professional and quick. He even beat me to the house and was early. The price seemed fair. He took a lot of time to answer my questions and he definitely knew what he was doing. I am going to buy another house and have him give me another quote.
