I really appreciated the amount of time that Jonathan and the guys spent answering my 2,000 questions. I visited at least twice and spoke with them an equal number of times (probably more!) on the phone. Every time they made sure my questions were answered and that I fully understood what was involved with each process. Their professionalism upfront sold me. And, the stunning results reassured me that I made the right decision.

I took my car to Arete Auto Salon as a desperate last effort to correct an issue I was having with my four month old car. The first time it rained after buying the car, I was alarmed (to say the least) to find I could not see out my windshield during anything heavier than a light rain. The water seemed to just accumulate on the windshield, and the wipers couldn?t clear it fast enough before the water spread and smeared, obscuring my vision. I thought there was an issue with the wiper speed, and I took the car to two different dealerships, who completely dismissed my concerns. As the weeks went on, I grew increasingly concerned about the issue, and began considering selling my brand new car. A drastic move for sure, but I couldn?t live with a car that I was terrified to drive in the rain. It then occurred to me that the dealership had applied a rain repellent to the glass when I bought the car. I tried and tried to scrub the windshield with various cleaners, but saw no difference. After doing some research, I saw that there are some rain repellents that are very difficult to remove, and this was not something I?d be able to do myself. I still wasn?t sure if the rain repellent was the issue, but I was willing to try to have it removed, before taking the expensive step of selling the car. I called Arete to see what my options were, and right from the start, my experience was leaps and bounds better than what I had encountered at the dealerships. During that initial call, they actually LISTENED to me. They asked detailed questions about what I was experiencing, so that they could determine the best course of action. They didn?t rush through the call, and they made me feel like they were really taking my concern seriously. It was decided that they would polish out the glass, removing the dealership rain repellent, and apply a windshield coating. After making my appointment and hanging up the phone, I felt better about the situation than I had since it first began. When I took my car in, I couldn?t have been more impressed with these guys. From the owner, who talked me through what the plan was for my car, to the valet drivers who took me home and picked me back up, everyone was exceptionally professional, courteous, and friendly. That is very difficult to find these days, and was quite a breath of fresh air! As happy as I was with the customer service, I would still have to wait for rain to see if this actually solved my problem. It was a couple of weeks before we got a steady rain, and when that arrived, I was AMAZED. The water accumulation, the smearing, was GONE. I could actually see out my windshield, I didn?t need to use my wipers at full force, I was able to drive in the rain at night. The water beaded up, instead of smearing, and I had a clear view in the rain for the first time since I bought the car. I could not believe that a dealership-applied rain ?repellent? actually created such a problem, but I was thrilled that Arete completely solved it, and I can love my new car again. If you?re looking for a top notch experience, this is the place to go. Quality work, quality service, I will certainly be back!

After looking on the internet to learn about all the protective coatings on the market for my new car, I found that Arete's was the only local business that offered all the best products, I called Jon, who was very friendly, professional, and informative. I decided to go with the Americoat shield and window tinting, as I have had done with my previous vehicles. With other businesses I have gone to for detail work, it has always been high pressure sells for additional work. This is definitely NOT the case with Arete's. My car came out absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Even better than the showroom, if that is possible. The attention to detail and customer service was impeccable. The hydrocoat applied to my glass was free as part of my package. You will be hard pressed to find a better detail shop in the Rochester area. You WILL walk away totally impressed!
