Very Well. It was a very large job and all of the workers were wonderful..very polite and eager to please. Allstate places customer satisfaction first!!! Removal of the cedar shakes and 3 layers of shingles was very messy, but the men kept the area as neat as possible and cleaned up each night before leaving. Before the tear-off they have covered everything in the attic with plastic wrap. And before the end of the job they came into my large 3rd floor attic and, on one occasion spent over 1/2 day vaccuming and putting things back in order. They also cleaned the attic again after the insulation and ventilation system was installed. I am continuing to have work done by Allstate...a replacement of the boathouse roof, removal of wrought iron railings to be sand blasted, repainted and replaced on the boathouse roof and breakwall and repairs to my 15' high, approx. 120' wide concrete breakwall.

Well beyond expectations. The old roof and decking were removed and replaced in ONE day. The crew did an exceptional job in taking care of the property to ensure no damage was done to plants, siding, the AC compressor, etc. The crew also spent time with a metal magnetic rake getting all the nails out of the lawn so our dogs wouldn't step on them. Jason the contract coordinator was a pure pleasure to work with. He took the time to explain step by step the job to be performed. Answered all my questions that I emailed him quickly and timely, and never made me feel like I was bothering him. The price for the job was a little higher than some of the competition, but you definitely get what you pay for. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. My neighbor was so impressed by their work that they are talking to AllState about doing the siding on their house.

From beginning to end, it went very smoothly. After inquiring about an estimate, we were called later that same day by the company to set up a day and time for the estimate. We were impressed with Jason, who came out and gave us a very detailed estimate range for the project, depending upon how much plywood might need to be replaced. After getting other estimates, we decided to go forward with Allstate. We needed to have the roof done soon, and they were able to come out within a few days to work on the project. They completed the work in just one day, cleaned up very efficiently, and the project came in on the low end of the estimate. Both the house and shed turned out very well.

they got the pipe out in an hour, then it took about hour and half to set the bed. Put the new pipe in covered it with stone tamped it every six inches and it took about 4 hours of that then they were finished

I got 5 estimates for this major project - all from A-rated companies on Angies' List - but Allstate Roofing and especially company representative Tim Rease were the standout. Mr. Rease spent about 2 hours at our initial consultation and could not have been more professional or informative. His responsiveness throughout the project was amazing - calls and emails answered almost immediately - and his follow-up was very impressive. The job was performed with astounding efficiency and within the promised timeframe. Cleanup was meticulous. I could not be more pleased with the final project and the overall experience.

Paul Melnick, project manager for Allstate Roofing, came on March 21st to give me an estimate for the removal of moss. We started talking and I decided it was best to replace the roof. Paul was very clear explaining the process and there were NO SURPRISES! Once the crew started taking the shingles off they let Paul know that the existing plywood was rotted. Paul showed me pictures and discussed the problem before replacing the plywood. They replaced the roof (complete tear-off) in two days, cleaned up all the debris leaving nothing behind. They also took special precaution to protect our neighbor's house and our house to ensure no damage. I would recommend Paul and his crew to anyone who is in need of a new roof. Paul and his crew were very professional, friendly and their work ethic is stellar!!!! Last but not least, I chose Allstate Roofing because Paul Melnick was not overbearing and left the decision up to me without any insistence that we needed a new roof. I felt that after talking with Paul that he is honest as the day is long and made it about the customer's needs. I love our new roof -- thank you to Paul and his crew for doing such a stellar job. Last Winter being so severe the ice built up in February, and had to pay to get the roof cleared. While clearing the ice in front a section of the front eaves separated from the facia board. The back eaves were bent from attempts to clear the ice by myself several winters before. Clearly work needed to be done, so trusting Home Depot we signed a contract, only to find out at least a month later that their contractor from here to Albany had left them high and dry. So, when we finally got out of that contract we started looking for someone else to do it in late November / early December. Allstate was rated a B. The work was done at a reasonable price, and had a payment schedule with no interest. As can be expected, there were minor issues which were addressed quickly.

I spoke with Austin Carter from the beginning regarding the existing roof problems. He inspected the roof and thoroughly explained what should be done and why. I was given a comprehensive package of tile colors, and warranty information. As Allstate was my first call, there was time between receiving the estimate and granting the contract. During that time Austin called to see where I was with obtaining other quotes, and actually provided valuable suggestions when I stated I was having issues with getting contractors to respond. I subsequently checked and used the suggestions because they referenced some of the area's major contractors. After receiving all quotes, I selected Allstate because the price, warranty, materials provided for review, and the information received from Austin Carter was superior to all other contractors that submitted estimates and talked with me about my job.

Team of workers came and replaced gutter along the back of the house. Did a great job. I keep hoping this deal comes up again so I can replace the rest of the gutters. Great deal and nice quality work. Job was done quickly and I hardly noticed they were there.

They came on a Saturday and the work went smoothly. I went out for errands and when I got they were gone and all cleaned up. The gutters were pitched so water runs out of them as opposed to another company in town that installed some other gutter for me almost dead flat. Allstate will be my referral now.

We had had our gutters replaced before - we live in an early 1900s Dutch Colonial and the wlinter ice and snow are h****** our gutters - but never before had such a competent and professional crew. They had to park on the street and walk everything up our long driveway. They then formed the gutters on site to exactly fit and attached them securely with pins that are close together. We haven't been through a winter with them yet but have been up cleaning out the leaves and they are much more secure.

Estimate was provided by Austin within 2 days. He provided a lot of information and went over all the details of what was going to be done. I was given an estimated start date for the job. The workers showed up on the day they were supposed to. The entire job went extremely well and they did a thorough clean up when they were done. I would definitely use Allstate Roofing in the future.

Called three times, each time we heard an excuse, running late, I was at your house but he showed at the wrong time, rescheduled but once again running late, scheduled for the next afternoon, they called half hour later running late they suggested how about 6pm....7pm no show, no call. Beyond done with company.

From the first quote to the finished follow-up, everyone at Allstate Roofing & More was great. They were able to provide a quote quickly, and were the only company to actually appear to be interested in talking with me about the process and any concerns/problem spots as opposed to just writing up a quote and going on their way. Before we even got the quote, the estimator said their price probably wouldn't be the lowest, but not the highest - this was true, and even though they were on the higher end of the quotes we received (between $3700 and $5000), we decided to move forward largely due to the estimator's compassion and willingness to talk. My only small ding for their service was that we were never told that they would sub-contract the work out to another company, but this wasn't a big deal. We were told that we'd be put on the schedule, and it could be a couple weeks but they were confident they could fit us in this year. Later that day, we received a call asking if they could start the next day, as the crew was finishing up a job in the area. We agreed, and the next afternoon the crew showed up and quickly had the driveway removed. We have a narrow driveway, with an overhang on the side door, but the crew from Decca was very professional and an expert operator - they had the asphalt removed within a few hours with no issues. The next day, they returned to lay and stamp stone, and made the decision to pave immediately and that it didn't need to rest for a few weeks. The paving crew showed up, and laid a perfect (THICK) layer of asphalt down, cleaned everything up, and they were on their way. So the job was complete in under 72 hours from deposit payment to new driveway.

The bubbled shingles were fixed well. The underlying plywood needed to be trimmed back and re-shingled. Unfortunately, sealing the skylight didn't work, but this was to a degree expected as the skylight itself is not meant to be on an unshingled roof as it currently is. We plan to use Tim again for further repairs of this issue. He was very prompt, timely, courteous and professional. He came in with a very low estimate and stuck with the original estimate. It was a great experience.

Very happy with the job on every level. Tim Reese was the rep and he was always professional, helpful and responsive to any questions or concerns I had. I considered about 5 other companies but Tim instilled the most confidence that I needed to make my decision. The crew was hard working and conscientious and polite, and there was never less than 5 of them working at any one time. They also did some very good trim work that had to be done. They worked long days and everything was picked up and cleaned when they left.

The work took a little longer than estimated, but that was mostly because the repairs that were required were slightly more extensive than originally thought. The repairs were done perfectly, given the extent of the damage caused by the previous roofer. The biggest issues I had was that one of my ornamental trees was damaged to the point that is died a couple days after the workers left and they re-attached my kitchen window awning crooked, the damage was never acknowledged by the workers and I had to call in the boss. The tree was replaced and the awning was re-attached correctly a few weeks later, but the fact that the workers did not take responsibility at the time the damage was done was a little disconcerting to me. Overall I am highly satisfied with the work, the quality exceeded my expectations.

Jason and Tim were the primary contacts, and they were fantastic at scoping out the complete job. They were courteous, open and honest about what should be done for the roof and driveway and have the job done right. Tim made sure that that every detail was attended to - from replacing the skylight to the seal around the fireplace chimney. During their time on the job, they kept the site clean and neat (definitely a good first impression for our new neighbors). My wife and I were very pleased with the outcome of this very important project. I would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone. Thank-you Jason, Tim, and all of your crew.

The down spouts weren't replaced like you said they would be. Took several attempts to get them to make an appointment. No the level of service I expected. Not sure I will buy anything from Angie's List again..

Allstate Roofing was great! Right off the bat, I felt very comfortable with Jason, the Sales Representative, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted to make sure the job was done right with high quality materials and Jason spent a great deal of time patiently addressing all of my concerns and making sure he and his crew were completely clear on what I was looking for. I received quotes from a few different companies and spoke with their representatives, but did not feel the same level of confidence that I did with Jason and Allstate. Despite the fact that it was a very rainy week, the workers made use of every possible dry moment to complete the work. They were courteous and professional, arrived on time, and did a great job cleaning up. Throughout the process Jason kept in contact with me and was available when I had questions. The entire process went smoothly and my wife and I are extremely happy with the results. I would definitely recommend Allstate Roofing to others!

Overall, Allstate did a very good job and we are quite happy with their work. It did take multiple back-and-forth phone calls & voicemails to set up the initial estimate visit, plus several more back-and-forth phone calls to reschedule as the work was delayed several days by rainy weather. However, once the weather cooperated the crew showed up promptly in the morning to do the work, did their work professionally, politely, and quickly, and did a thorough clean-up afterward. There was some delay/miscommunication in removing the dumpster and unused roofing materials over the following week. However, we were really happy to find a company that uses "green" materials and appreciate the 50-year manufacturer warrantee on the roof. We definitely recommend them.

When I came home the day the gutter was installed I had forgotten that they were even scheduled that day. I noticed the masons were admiring the gutters and after I thought "That's weird" I remembered the new ones were to be installed. On closer inspection they were brand new. The work was great, there was not a trace they had been there. Now after four fairly large rainstorms I can honestly say they are completely doing what they are intended to do. No complaints.

They were really good. They reached out and set up time to come look at the work we needed done within 2 days and we lined up for them to come out a day later. They came out and looked things over in then a week later were out and took down the old gutter and had the other up in about a half hour. Nice and quick and everything looks great. They were easy to deal with and would use them again if needed.
