Airquip Heating & Air Conditioning

Shout out to Carl at AirQuip, who is here at 11pm fixing a clogged drain in our attic air unit. Hubby is running a hugely important all day meeting for 80 people via Zoom tomorrow, from his attic office, so it had to get fixed tonight! So glad I signed up for an annual service plan. Service is cheerful, competent, and prompt!

The other company could not figure out why it was leaking but I had to pay for several visits for them to figure out what the problem was. They finally fixed it but I ended up calling Airquip out after that. They do a great job and seemed to know more about what they are doing. I would definitely hire Airquip again and I would recommend them.

Whole job went smooth from estimator through installation. Estimator, Mike, was on-time, did a through inspection on which to make an estimate. This resulted in lowest bid due to his detailed look at the job. The scheduling supervisor, Reggie, had our job scheduled as soon as we got the electrical panel up-grade completed. Reggie kept us informed as installation date approached. Service techs, Jordan and Jeff, arrived right on time and were well organized and had everything they need. Their workmanship was beautiful. Everything square, level and plumbed. Had job done, site cleaned up and job finished at time promised. It was one of those dream projects were everything went as planned and promised without any surprises. Which is rare indeed for me. Can't complement this team high enough. Great job, guys. Will be calling them for all future work for sure.

Do not use for an AC inspection/cleaning! They came out to inspect and clean our A/C unit and everything was good to go. We used the A/C that day after they left but woke up Saturday morning with a very loud noise coming from the inside vents. They came out again and said our A/C was frozen. They said this was a common occurrence for running for long periods of time. They couldn’t thaw because they found the schrader core was stuck open. They said they need to come back to pump refrigerant into condenser to replace valve, then add refrigerant. 3rd visit: Checked system pressures and found unit low on charge. They performed a leak search and found the schrader core leaking as well as a leak in the evaporation coil. And they found corrosion of the copper tubing in the coil – which if they just looked at the unit at the time of inspection, they would’ve seen this! So what do they actually inspect and clean during the $130 cleaning? The 2nd guy even called the first guy to make sure he checked everything. I think some things were missed. Shouldn’t at the initial cleaning they caught all of these problems? They should’ve noticed the ice buildup or leaks or that the refrigerant pressure wasn’t correct. Or most definitely the corrosion on the inside coils which is an indicator of a leak! And the most disturbing piece of all is that I’ve called numerous times and have left messages with a manager and no one can even bother to call me back to explain what happened. Not very good customer service!

The quote was reasonable, the techs were on time and knowledgeable. The work was done timely and it was clean when they left.

We have had them a lot longer than we have had Angie's List. We have a long term contract. They come every year. I have a package I purchase from them. It just ran out awhile ago. I purchase it ahead of time. They are very good. I get a discount because I am in the plan. I think the pricing is fair, it's good. They put in the furnace and we use them every year. I am not sure how long it takes because it's two different services, maybe an hour. They are very nice and friendly, all of them that we have had. We have had them for years.

They've maintained it since 05. I've rated them A on all of it and you can't get much better than that. The technicians are good and very competent.

I have been very pleased with them. I had an fan in an unit go bad, and they came out and replaced it. Since I was an contract person, they came out quicker, as if I hadn't been. The cost, you have no way to know the cost with three suppliers, so I just pay whatever it cost. It was over $510. It seems high to me, but I am not in this business, so I have no idea of the bids. There was one worker. It took the worker an hour, to an hour and an half to complete. Nice guy, very capable. This fan takes the exhaust out of the house, we don't have the chimney one, you have to blow the exhaust out, so I don't know what kind of tips he could of given me to prolong the fan. They left the are very clean.

They vented the furnace out the front of my house & put the vent directly behind some shrubs. Part of the shrub has died due to the hot air. They came back out to look at my vent to see about moving it away from shrubs. They said it would be very expensive and they took no responsibility for causing the damage to the shrubs. That part I was not happy with! The furnace is still fine, it has performed as they said it would. No problems with the furnace, just the vent. They were not trying to find a solution, they didn?t want to do anything about it. They were going to charge a lot of money for what I consider was their mistake. They quoted me between $500 & $600 to do the work. I was stuck with a problem that they had created and I ended having to solve the problem myself. They came when they said they would. I don?t think they were very professional in that they didn?t try to figure out a solution for me. I would consider using them again, but they would not be my first choice.

The furnace is still fine, it has performed as they said it would. No problems with the furnace, just the vent. I had gotten several estimates and theirs was in the middle. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive ether. The installing & price for the furnace was very good.

My air duct cleaning was completed correctly and efficiently. They did a very thorough job with taping off all vents except the one being worked on. This was a large job with a large industrial-looking vacuum attached to the ducts in the basement and a high pressure air hose to clean out the vents throughout the house. My vents in my 1939 built house may have never been cleaned before based on what they looked like before the clean, but they were nearly spotless afterward. The tech was at my house from 8 AM until about 3 PM working hard the entire time. While the cost was a bit high, it was pretty reasonable compared to other estimates I was given for this type of service. There are cheaper types of service where the tech would use a vacuum hose into each vent, but that's not nearly the same level of thorough cleaning and I was trying to combat some asthma issues. I told the tech that I was doing this service because of asthma and he was very careful to keep the dust contained. The filter on the vacuum after the cleaning was horrendously dirty and the asthma issues lessened and faded after this service was completed. I will definitely be using Airquip again in the future.

Excellent, arrived on time with a prior phone call. It took about an hour, the inspection was complete. I was advised afterward of the state of my furnace. I bought a 2 year contract for my furnace and air conditioner. Provides me peace of mind

We purchased our house in July and it's now February so the weather is quite cold. We had issues with the heat pump system as it was not heating the house sufficiently (we're new to heat pumps, having only used gas previously). The person on the phone was very courteous and provided a lot of advice and help over the phone. This removed the need to have a technician show up on site, saving us time and money. We will certainly make use of them in the future for our cooling and heating needs as I feel they have earned my trust.

Furnace installation was done in one day as promise. Twice yearly visits have been done on time and I have been pleased.

It went well. The service person spent a lot of time showing me everything that wasn't right and how to fix it. I appreciate his honesty and I think if the same problem happends again, I could fix it myself. It eas basically replacing some bad wires and cleaning up where a relay had exploded. He replaced the blown part and replaced bad wires. Things are working great now!
