It went smoothly, as always, with A Best!

They only wrote for me to call. I called left answers on machine few times and wrote nothing no one called back or wrote. I did hire someone else.

Marty suggested we leave the old storm windows on but the manufacturer of Lowe's windows said it would void the warranty. Marty's recommended window manufacturer had a class action law suit against it for bad manufacturing so we went with Lowe's. Our new bathroom sinks still didn't work right (stoppers were in wrong), so we paid another company to fix them. Marty's price to remodel our kitchen was too high (11/15 I wrote "we'll see" about kitchen remodel). But Marty connected us with a good kitchen designer. So we are thankful for that. I like Marty but it seemed you had to fix things two and three times to get it right.

Marty is a very engaging guy and I thought we had a great repoire, However after our initial meeting during the bid phase, we never heard back from him with a bid and ended up going with another great company. I'm sure he is a great contractor, we hope all is well with him and would look forward to hearing from him again if he is ever free to do some work in the future.

It went exactly the way Marty Hill said it would go. The work was completed one week ahead of schedule. I picked all of the flooring, cabinets, light fixtures, countertops, down to the smallest item the covers for the light fixtures. Marty gave his guidance however, he installed what I wanted. I was walked thru everything one step at a time so I did not become overwhelmed. When I visited the house I always felt that I was welcome not an intrusion. His crew was courteous and helpful in explaining what was happening in the repair process. The work was done A Best. I recommend him to everyone I see. Thank you Marty and Crew.

Marty and his crew where fantastic. They finished the job in one day. I would definitely use them again. I got four different estimates A Best Construction lives up to its name.

He scheduled a appointment to come take at a leaky roof. Never showed, didn't return texts, or phone calls. In fact when I called him a hour after our appointment has come and gone he sent me to voicemail quickly instead of owning up

Marty worked with us early on to provide estimates and ideas for our rebuild and remodel. Marty also frequently worked directly with our insurance adjuster when his crew identified issues that were not initially caught (issues behind walls, under floors, and things that could not be seen until demolition had begun). Marty's crew started when they said they would and the work they did was exceptional. The foreman on our job, Nick, was outstanding. We met every day to go over progress and to cover any questions either of us had. Nick would reach out with any questions or concerns he had and always was quick to provide suggested resolutions to any unexpected problems that came up. Nick also worked very well with the other companies we hired directly to handle certain parts of the job (hardwood floors mainly) and was great at keeping me informed of the schedule and timeline for everything. I would absolutely recommend Marty, Nick, and A Best Construction.

Marty Hill, remodeler, did an excellent job. He has several crews who specialize in bathrooms, roofing, siding, additions, and construction. Others specialize in kitchens. There were some small bumps in the road and Marty fixed them right away. He's friendly and reasonable. We usually get several quotes and his are in the ball park. Pay when work is done. Marty will install 15 new windows on our house this week. We chose Consumer Report recommended windows only and paid for them to be manufactured. There was a delay in window delivery and Marty was very helpful about what to do. Our kitchen remodel is next. Design and cost issues caused delay but we hope to get kitchen remodeled soon, too. He's at the top of our list. But our budget dictates what we can afford. We'll see. In summary, it is much better to have a contractor like Marty Hill to work with than an unreliable installer supplied by a box store. Perhaps some have experienced this, too. You could wait several months to have your home remodeling work done. Marty did the work right away as promised. My family is very grateful for that. Another reason we like working with him.

This company's actions are bizarre. I had an excellent job done by them last year, paid promptly, everything was great. Now I've spent over a year getting them to contact me about another project. All attempts to contact them have failed. Because they did such a good job I really didn't want to shop around for another company but they leave me no choice. I could see if I was a PIA customer or a slow or no payer but neither was the case. It's too bad I have to write this because I enjoyed working with these guys.

In planning the job Marty was very patient, listened to us made his suggestions and professional comments and he and Chad were accommodating with last minute changes and on the job changes that made the bathroom even better. The job was supposed to take four weeks, but it did take a bit longer, but take in mind this was a massive job which included the relocation of a large cast iron radiator and incorporating a seven foot high window into the shower plan. There were some things that were necessary for someone to come out and tweak and come they did and all is well. The end result is we are very happy with the quality of the work, the attitude of the people from A Best and most important, my wife is happy. This bathroom could be on the cover of Home and Garden.

examined house and roof in order to provide estimate. but never provided estimate, and never responded to my messages. owner seemed very knowledgeable and friendly during inspection, and talked about several options for me. i was disappointed not to hear back, and now my roof probably will not get repairs before winter.

There was more worked involved than what the quote originally entailed, there was no major price increase. The workers were very good, came did the job and were very efficient.

A Best Construction installed a new roof for us after ice dams damaged our roof this winter. Marty was responsive and professional. He took a lot of time to talk with us about our options and was able to provide us with examples of roofs to look at since I was nervous about choosing the right color. We have a relatively small home, and the job was completed in just one day! It looks beautiful. I won't hesitate to work with A Best Construction again if I need work done in the future!

They were very professional, and if something was not done correctly they came back and fix it.

Marty showed up exactly when he said he would and told me how I could solve the problem on my own and exactly which product to buy to seal the skylight. He also climbed up on to the second story roof and reset some loose nails in my gutter and didn't charge me anything for his time. The other contractors I had come by each tried to sell me on anything from a full roof ripoff to decorative accents for the front of my garage. I would not hesitate to recommend Marty and A Best.

It was an emergency call as I had a leak in my living room ceiling. I was told that Jason is in the area and will stop by after his current scheduled task. He came and surveyed the problem. He immediately started removing a lot of ice (about 6 inch thick) and snow from our roof, even though we do remove the snow ourselves. It took him more than two hours. He was amazed how thick the ice was because of the shape our house/ roof is set up. He was wonderful in recommending the special salt for the roof and urge us to keep up with removing snow and put salt to prevent ice build up on the roof. He worked hard, especially in the cold weather! He wants us to call him back if the leak has stopped. Jason was nice to give us some tips and recommendations what we could do with insulation in the attic because our house is old and the heat is escaping out to the roof.

They totally forgot the first appointment and we had to reschedule. They also went on my roof and fixed a small issue free of charge. They were very nice and took pictures when they were up on the roof.

I was expecting more than a verbal ballpark estimate. I feel like the $50.00 was a waste of money and I could have just contacted the service provider and gotten an estimate for free. I thought they gave me the information I was looking for and were very professional, just not sure it was worth $50.

They were horrible. I actually have a claim with Better Business Bureau. They did not give us a final bill. They harassed us a week after we has already paid our bill. They drove over our lawn for no reason. They were completely unprofessional. They didn't show up when they were supposed to. I would not recommend them.

Marty Hill is a fantastic guy, also a great contractor. I have had mixed experiences with contractors in the past, but this job was extremely painless. Marty came over, checked out the damage, knew exactly what to do, and promptly was on time, stuck to his original estimate. His working crew is tops. Specialists in their area. I would use Marty again in a heartbeat, you can trust him and his work is flawless.

Marty came promptly to look at the job. Although he recommended a full roof replacement in the near future, he didn't push this, and was willing to do just the immediate repair. His guy arrived as scheduled, and completed the repair competently. He was willing to explain the job to me (I climbed up on the roof myself, something he said most people won't do!) I waited a long time to write this review to make sure the leak was really fixed. It's been a year, and no problems at all. I would use Marty and his crew again, and will definitely call them when we are ready to do the whole roof.

It was smooth. Any problems that arose were quickly resolved with minimal interference to the job. It was completed on schedule and budget. The work was all permitted appropriately and passed inspection without issue. The crew was friendly and took great pains to keep the mess to a minimum. When a minor issue was discovered after the work was completed, Marty ensured it was resolved quickly. I could not be happier with the work done.
