Rod's TV Service

They were a no show the first time, because "the truck broke down". I rescheduled the next morning because I had to work in the afternoon. When they didn't show up in the morning, I called and was told they would be there between 3-6 pm- again I had to reschedule after waiting a second time. Rescheduled for the next day "after 11am". When I called at 4 pm to get an estimate as to when they're planning on coming, I was left on hold by their receptionist a total of 25 minutes on my 2 phone calls. She wouldn't answer my subsequent phone calls and once again were a NO SHOW. The single most unprofessional repair company I ever dealt with. This is the first review I've ever written but I felt strongly that no one should have to deal with such unprofessionalism.

They were horrible. They weren’t knowledgeable. They said they fixed it, but I had to hire someone else to finish the job.

came to house, was punctual to evaluate tv problem that I had already told him over the phone (blown HDMI port). Said would find part and return to fix--took fee which would be incorporated into the fee to fix the TV. Never returned calls, receptionist just stated they were searching out the part but never made any effort to repair the TV or return my fee. Lousy work ethic and greedy company. If they could not locate the part, they should have offered me a refund and certainly should have been responsive to my multiple phone calls. Do not use this company!

I brought my Onkyo receiver to Rod's TV Service in Riverhead. The reason being was that it was not outputting sound. Onkyo told me that Rod's TV Service was the only authorized repair facility around. When I brought my receiver there I couldnt even walk in. There was stuff piled to the ceiling, like it was some sort of electronic graveyard. They gave me the runaround for over a month "Oh it's going to be ready in 2 days" or "come back next week" and my favorite "We have it opened up right now we'll give you a call tomorrow to pick it up". After a month and a half or so, I came and picked it up WITHOUT IT BEING REPAIRED. It took them 10 minutes to actually locate where they had my receiver. After that it took another 5 for them to dig it out. Yeah, they had to dig my receiver out of a pile of stuff that also has probably been sitting there for a month. Also, when I would walk in I would get the cold shoulder until I said something. After that all I got was curses-- seems like they don't even want to be a business anymore.
