John did a top-notch job finishing off the original, unfinished basement in our 55+ year old home. Sealing concrete, rerouting existing pipes and wiring, installation of new walls, new flooring, new windows, drop ceiling, paint, recessed lighting, laundry hookup, and additional electric outlets, What was once a rarely used, â roughâ basement, is now a beautifully finished space - featuring a dedicated laundry area, open space for a home-office and/or play area, plus a separate utility room. A great overall experience - and we will certainly reach out to John again for other projects in our home.

This company was very dependable, if they told you they would be there at a certain time, they were there at that time. The workmanship was excellent. Everyone involved with the company was very professional. We would, and have, recommend this company to anyone looking for a contractor. We are planning to have them return for additional projects. The owner, John, was very helpful. We asked him to help us with a couple of things that were not involved in the bathroom remodel, and he stepped right up and helped. We have no reservations recommending them to our friends and family.

It took him 6 weeks from the time that I gave him the deposit to the time that he actually brought the door and showed up to do the work when he originally said 2 weeks. When he replaced the door he thought it was a good idea to leave the rotting molding around it which is part of the reason we needed to replace the door in the first place. When I asked him about the molding he told me it would be an additional 300 dollars. Finally, the door does not stay closed because the latch doesn't line up with the opening and so it doesn't latch correctly. I have to use the deadbolt in order for it to stay closed. The door has blown open from the wind if we don't keep the deadbolt engaged.

My husband and I recently utilized John Marchetti of Make It Right Contracting to demolish and rebuild our bathroom and kitchen. Having seen John's work in a neighbor's home convinced us that he was certainly going to meet our expectations. Even though his work next door was amazing, we were still slightly anxious about the process. You see, this house is a summer home, with our primary residence 2 hours away in Brooklyn. John did tell us to not worry - that he would be in contact and, if we had any questions to call, text or email him. He was true to his word - he answered our calls, called back when we left messages, texted us back and sent pictures to keep us updated. In other words, he did everything possible, and then some, to allay our fears. We visited on three occasions and each time we were amazed at both the amount and quality of work that had been accomplished. In addition to all of the "big things" that were done in this renovation, there were several smaller elements, like replacing the air vent covers with those of the appropriate size and installing a whisper close toilet seat. These little things were impressive, as it showed an eye for those little, special details. The distinguished craftsmanship of the crown molding in the kitchen and bathroom is stunning and more impressive than we could have ever imagined. The reconfiguration of a galley kitchen into one that has a massive amount of counter space (with a breakfast bar!!!) enabling 2 - 3 people to be cooking and prepping meals together, was nothing short of extraordinary. John will be our go-to contractor for any jobs we have in the future. He was neat, reliable and kept things clean for the duration of this project. He is a master craftsman, true to his word and a gifted professional. This project totally exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend John Marchetti for any home makeover!

John has done many projects for us. The largest to date was the deck replacement. When i had an issue with how the deck was finished around the pool, he immediately corrected it to my complete satisfaction. He is now redoing our driveway, and I expect to be highly satisfied.

John did a great job installing a new screen door, curtain rods and repairing a TV mount that the initial installer had incorrectly installed. He was on time, all 3 times, and his prices are fair. Hard to find both in the Hamptons.
