Flanders Heating & Air Conditioning

We used Flanders for several years for installation and maintenance of a home HVAC system. Unbeknownst to us they had committed multiple and dangerous code violations. Then multiple (7-10) examples of work not done to manufactures specifications. We knew of none of it until another vendor reviewed and documented it all. It was horrendous. Maybe new ownership is better. I suggest another vendor as there are many good ones to choose from.

They do an excellent job, very good service.

It was fine. I haven't had any problems with them. i have been happy with them.

The sales process was very easy and clear. The heating system took one day to complete.

I have to withdraw my strong recommendation for Flanders. They repeatedly miss things that they should be taken care of. We pay them every year to do our spring and fall tune-ups. We finally figured out that they have not checked the system antifreeze for at least three years which is their stated standard annual practice. We have paid them for their service and this and several other issues have been overlooked. This has required us as homeowners to micromanage them and spend valuable time reconfirming all of their work. We have a commitment to them because we have a big AC system they installed in 2011 and they need to do the service for us to continue to get the warranty. I have explained my concerns to them and hope they can improve, at least with us.

On time, very clean, very friendly, very knowledgable and very neat job. Would use them again and recommend them.

As above, we were unsatisfied with the service and felt like they overcharge us as well as performing the service poorly. We had our system serviced them. Previous to this we had no problems with the system.

It went quite well. They did the work quickly and efficiently. It was the price that it was supposed to be. They made sure to explain to me everything that I needed to know and answered any of my questions. Since then it has been working very well.

I did pay for there services. And I had to constantly call them to find out if the additional part I order was in. So we did not trust them. I would give them a D grade for my overall experience.They are unreliable the quality of their work is bad.

Perfect! They also helped us get a LIPA rebate for a previous install done earlier in the year for the upstairs system. That vendor wouldnt apply for the rebate and Flanders got us help. It saved us $600 on a system they didnt even have to help us with. Also identified other problems with previous contractors installation. Really over the top with this contractor. Terrific.

I used this company to have a furnace inspection and annual servicing done. I was very pleased with the knowledge and professionalism of the technician. The service was scheduled on a day or two notice, and he arrived promptly. The service took about as long as they had indicated it would, and he left the area as clean as it was before he arrived. I was pleased enough to sign an annual service contract, renewable each year.

We got their name out of the phone book and my wife went on Angie's List to verify and I was totally pleased with the end result. I had left them a message one night and they called me first thing the next morning. They sent a young man that afternoon, but he didn't have the right part because he thought he just had to replace the motor. It turns out the pump I had requires your to replace the entire top of the unit and they didn't have the part. By the time they went to look for the part it was Saturday and the AC store was closed for the whole weekend. To their credit they came back Tuesday morning and picked it up at 8:00, they were at the house at 9:00 and the work was done as soon as it could be. It was not their fault, it was no one's fault, it was just an unfortunate situation. It has been running better than it has in 16 years. I would and have recommended their work to other people. They charged the going rate. The original technician and team that came in to do the work deserve an "A". I was expecting to find out when they were going to be able to do the work the following morning and I was getting sort of a run around that no one was there to answer that. Everything else that they did was pretty well done. He was right on time, if not early.

First appointment: Technician/expert came to check the system, made measurements, explained the options. 2nd appointment: same technician again explained the options, different pricings, maintenance plan, credit options, and recommendations. 3d: installation of the system in a timely fashion. Called when installation performed. 4th: came to explain how the system functions. Dealt with technical expert and installer only. No subcontractors. They were competent, professional, polite. Qualities unusual on the East End of Long Island NY!
