The workers were courteous, professional, competent and quickly got the entire job done in one day. Nick DiMola, the owner, was knowledgeable, courteous, helpful and direct. Nick remained on site and thoroughly engaged with the entire project. We would use his services again and certainly would recommend his company to others.

I found Nick DiMola on youtube, actually. He has a well-documented video archive describing the jobs he and his crew have completed. After reviewing some of the relevant videos and his web page, http://dimolabros.com/ I rang him up for a quote. He arrived on-time and was straight-forward and knowledgeable about his work. We agreed on the price, and the scope of the work, and scheduled the appointment for the following week. We had gotten several quotes, and his came in as right in there with the rest. But what sealed the deal for us was his description of the work to be performed and how he'd carry out the job. Clean. That was the biggest emphasis from him in our discussions. And Nick and his crew did not disappoint. Additionally, he was the only one of the bunch of the demo folks in our area (Gelndale/Ridgewood) who had his own hauling trucks. Having the trucks, and crushing as the work progressed, was key for us. And it turned out to be the right choice. He demoed the entire floor in three days (the other quotes ranged from 4-6 days to do the work). The demo began, and he did what he said he'd do. He covered the hardwood floors with paper then masonite; he removed the fixtures and relocated the fixtures to the basement; he also covered the stove and fridge with plastic, and moved them safely out of the way; he relocated the radiators into one space, and when the job was finished, he had them on masonite so they would not damage the hardwood floors. His concern for the well-being of the individual downstairs went above and beyond--he taped the doors and cleaned up daily the dust in the hall. He even helped out when the house's hot water heater's thermo-coupler died. He looked after the plumber (I was in Manhattan in the middle of the day) and let the person on the first floor know when the job was finished, and she had her hot water restored. His emphasis on clean was never understated. Nick made sure the place was thoroughly cleaned, and mopped when he was finished. His crew removed all the nails in the studs (as we were re-using them, and saved all the studs we requested to have reclaimed. He even washed down the porch and sidewalk in front of the house. I'll use his services again for the second floor and basement demo next year. Totally a pro through-and-through. Highly recommend.
