Bone painting (run by albino) should not be painting cabinets. Here are all of the things that went wrong with albino (bone painting owner)- who is also the main worker painting our kitchen cabinets. All the things that went wrong- - the job was supposed to be completed before we moved in. Instead the painters showed up at 6 pm on the day I moved in to start painting the cabinets on the wall. The only thing he did before my move in date was to take the doors off and take them in his 4 door sedan and to paint them and return them in his 4 day sedan stacked against each other and chipped from transport. When he separated them, the paint peeled off. Why would you take them off to be painted properly just to ruin them in transport and stack them on top of each other for days until the cabinets on the wall were painted? - Appliances were half covered so there was paint all over my fridge, stove, wine rack and microwave. They did not remove the microwave from the shelf. They just painted over the legs and the bottom of the microwave. - - The cabinets were supposed to be degreased , sanded and primed. However, they painted over stickers/ Debris/ hair that were on the cabinets from the prior owners. Which makes me question how well they sanded and primed ? I am going to go with no. - They never cleaned (degreased or swiped down) the cabinets prior to starting the paint job. This resulted in poor quality of final finish. - When questioned about this after noticing the stickers painted over Albino had no idea what a degreaser was. I showed him the bubbling of the paint above the stove which was cause by not properly prepping them. Instead of sanding them down, he kept painting over and over. - He Painted over alot of the hardware and the inside of almost all the cabinets - Completely missed some cabinets - There was a wine rack that was to stay brown and instead of taping around it he got paint all over it. - When I showed him the paint on everything, Albino handed me a rag and told me I can use a paint remover that is sold at the local hardware store to remove the paint from the inside of the cabinets, fridge, wine rack, and hardware. There should not be paint on everything and if the painter gets it on things, they should clean it off. - Silicone caulk (non paintable) was used for caulking in the color white (cabinets are more on a beige color scheme). The caulk sticks out like a sore thumb and the paint does not stick to it. - We were unable to paint the walls normally in the kitchen due to the incorrect caulk used where the cabinets meet the wall. WeI had to pay someone to compound and sand the caulk so that the kitchen walls could be painted. - before the cabinets were all fixed and the job completed, Albino demanded to be paid at 1am in the morning (because on several occasions painting was done starting at 5 pm and later until 1 am in the morning - note I had a one year old sleeping upstairs and was not happy about the painting hours but had to do it in order to get my cabinets painted after fter over a month). He claimed the job was completed and he demanded be paid and would not leave until he was paid. We showed him all the areas that were still not painted and all the paint on the inside of the cabinets and hardware that needed to be removed. He claimed that the job was mostly done and he would come back to finish the rest of the work later. If a job is done, you shouldn’t have to come back When we refused to pay the entire amount until it was a finished job Albino got argumentative and demanded to be paid.I just paid him so he would leave because it was really late and I had my child sleeping upstairs. All my concerns were discussed over the phone and via the text messages where at no point Albino accepted any responsibility for my ruined kitchen cabinets. He basically told he was doing me a favor by coming back to fix his mistakes. After a heatied discussion on the phone Albino finally agreed to come back one last time (limited us to one hour) to finish all the areas that still required to be fixed but even after that me and my husband are still fixing the imperfections on daily bases. I also asked for the pictures of my kitchen to be removed from yelp and his website. (Which never were) So again- please take off the pictures of my kitchen from all websites. To this date, my husband is still sanding and painting cabinets that were not finished properly and are chipping. He is also removing and repainting caulk. Ps. I know albino will write a very well put together response putting on the appearance that he is a professional but he is far from that. ADVICE- STAY AWAY
