The job turned out well so far. It is not a job that you would know right away. So far our experience of the company has been good and if it solves our bed bug situation then it would make it even better. They did everything in their power to make it happen so far. I don’t know what the going rate is for such a service.

Overall--they did a great job. The house was bug-free after the second visit. I would have preferred that the same team come both times--this way they could follow up on specific trouble spots they'd mentioned. But I would recommend this company to anyone with a bed-bug problem. While the price was definitely steep-- I think it was worth it because they provide a 90 day guarantee and they would have come for a third visit if we still had a problem.

Detailed preparation instructions were provided by mail and e-mail. Unlike other companies, Bedbug Patrol, a division of Metro Pest Control, does not want you to throw anything away; with its method and guarantee it is unnecessary. It was a lot of work but we are rid of the bedbugs. The exterminators are prompt, nice, correct, etc. Another company we used previously did not get rid of the problem, just wanted to grab the money. Metro does the right thing. When told a queen-size bed had already been thrown out because of the earlier experience, $95 was deducted from the initial quote! And yes, you get an exact quote.

Bed Bug patrol did a good job. Did a good job explaining what they were doing. The workers were very nice and professional. They use a professional dry cleaning service-the big apple- and that service adss was an addtional 3k. they were fine, though some of our clothes came back damaged, a bag of our stuff went missing for a month and then some things didn't come back at all. It's hard to do an inventory of your clothes closets as you are also trying to figure out how you are going to live among the plastic for essentially three months. Glad to have lived through it.

Initial contact was with their office staff. The person described the process well, giving me ample opportunity to ask as many questions as necessary. The first two exterminators (by the way, the company is an arm of Metro pest control), did a decent job, though the one who was in charge was not that forthcoming with information and his partner did not wear a mask, which gave me concern for his safety/health. Luckily I had done a great deal of research and did not need a lot of information. By the way, when you choose an exterminator for bed bugs you MUST choose one that specializes in it--just because a company is a pest exterminator does not mean they have the specialized knowledge to handle bed bugs. My apartment building wanted to let the super handle this ("you should throw out your bedding"--wrong!--" and the super will spray around." Bed bugs are possibly the most serious infestation you can get because of how difficult it is to remove them. It is worth it to spend the money to get it done right. I acted quickly because a friend told me horror stories of her experience, so I was prepared. Another by the way: you can tell if you have bed bugs by the bite pattern on your skin--several bites close together--though if you're reading this I guess you may already know. Bed Bug Patrol knew exactly what to do, and you get a ninety day warranty so they will keep coming back until the pests are gone. After the third visit (I still had them after the initial visits, which is not uncommon) the bed bugs were completely gone. On the third visit I got a very competent and thorough exterminator (their receipt said the names of the two were Jorge and Marc--I think Jorge was the one); the competent one lifted the entire bed off its platform to spray better (I kind of wonder if the company sent in the best exterminator because after they first two visits they start to lose money, but that's just a guess) and after that treatment they have been completely gone. All in all getting bed bugs is one of the worst experiences a person can go through.

The process is arduous, but the folks were kind. The contact person via phone, Dee, is very knowledgeable and very helpful. They sent out an email with instructions that were so helpful that I passed it on to friends in the same situation. It took 3 applications to get rid of the bugs. Some of the exterminators who came were more thorough than others. The last two were great. Bed Bug Patrol has a 90 day guarantee that is very nice. All in all, a positive experience in a horrible situation
