 + -1 moreI contacted a lot of companies but I just did not feel that confidant as I did when I spoke to Michael. He is extremely knowledgeable about racoon behavior and so I hired him. I had struggled over a year trying to figure out how the raccoons were getting in the house. Within the first 10 minutes of his visit, he found the entry way that the raccoons were using to get inside the house, they were living in the crawl space between the basement ceiling and the first floor. He then setup traps and within 5-6 days we captured 2 adult females and 3 babies. He even sealed up the entry way with cement. He’s the best at what he does and his pricing is less than half of what others are charging.

 + -1 moreMike was able to locate and remove the cat in a little more than an hour. Despite less-than-ideal conditions (snow on the ground, low clearance under the deck), he was persistent and inventive in coming up with a way to get the cat out. I felt like he wouldn't give up and wouldn't accept that he couldn't get the cat out. I am very pleased with the work performed and would recommend him to anyone looking to have an animal — dead or alive — removed. After chatting with him for a while about some of the other animal removal jobs he's performed (some much more gruesome than my situation), I've come to the conclusion that he knows his stuff and that he has an animal instinct for this line of work!

Description of Work: A sick and disoriented baby raccoon wandered on to my deck during the day, and curled up under a bench acting very strangely. I called Mike and he knew immediately by my description of the symptoms that the poor animal had the distemper virus. He was at my house in less than one hour and humanely removed the animal.

 + -1 moreFirst off Mike is a great guy and extremely knowledgable with over 40 years of experience. He showed up right on time. Mike inspected our roof and told us the hole in our roof was caused by a raccoon. Mike also told us the raccoon did not get in and the hole was old. He temporarily covered up the hole (it was raining). Then Mike did a complete inspection of the outside of our house. Basically Mike took us to raccoon school and told us everything we could do to help deter raccoons. He spent plenty of time with us and made us feel comfortable. Mike's cost was very, very reasonable. There are guys out there who show up, do nothing and charge $500 just for showing up. We highly recommend using Mike.
Description of Work: Inspected outside of house for raccoon damage. Patched up a hole in the roof caused by raccoon. Instructed us on how to help prevent raccoon damage to house and deck.

Very, very nice and easy to work with; spoke with him on the phone while he was in the middle of a project and he was still very nice and patient asking if he could call me back which he did. He gave us a great quote and came the next day. He was running late and called in advance to let us know. He must have known from our conversations what was left was something I did not want to see--he offered and kindly didn't show me. He even gave us great advice in how to prevent nesting in the future, as well as preventing other animal from becoming an nuisance for us. Mike was awesome, very laid back guy and has many, many, many years experience. Totally would hire him again (but sure hope we don't have to!!!)

 + -1 moreMichael was amazing! I called well after traditional business hours, left a message and got a call-back less than an hour later. Despite an area-wide power outage overnight, he came the next morning, as promised and on time. He told me the minimum and maximum cost up front and went to work. He was diligent about checking back every morning and night to assess if all the animals had been caught and removed. Three days later I was raccoon-free and was charged the exact price I was quoted. I hope never to need him again, but if I do, would hire him again without hesitation!

 + -1 moreMichael assessed the situation and told me he thought the animal was a raccoon. He setup traps inside the attic and outside where the animal was entering. He came back to remove any trapped animals whenever I called - the hour didn't matter. It took about 4 days to catch all for critters (1 mother and 3 babies). When they were all caught, he fixed the entry hole and recommended that I get that section of the roof repaired.
Description of Work: Michael removed 4 raccoons from my attic and was very responsive. I'm truly grateful to all of those before me who rated and posted feedback on Nuisance Wildlife Control. I would definitely recommend and use his services again!

 + -1 moreMichael made an unnerving situation better almost instantly. He called me back immediately and agreed to meet me at my mother's house late at night to assess the situation. His knowledge of raccoon behavior and characteristics of their habits was impressive and only accomplished through years of work in the field. He gave my mom his card and assured her that it would be okay for her to call him at anytime if she heard the raccoon activity getting louder. We are animal lovers and found it difficult to have to remove the mom and her babies. He made an unfortunate situation a bit easier to handle by constantly explaining the process and worked very hard to not place them in any form of suffering or duress. This was paramount for us. He returned to disengage the traps and make a final check in the attic for any additional babies and entry points. He was clean, friendly, polite and genuinely interested in my mom's safety and peace of mind. I recommend his services and professionalism without any delay.
Description of Work: Michael came to my Mom's home late on the night I desperately called for assistance. He assessed the entry point in the roof where the raccoons were getting in and scoured the exterior of the roofline for additional entry/exit points. He did this with great professionalism, care and genuine concern for my Mom's peace of mind...all at ten o'clock at night and in the dark. Michael set up and removed two traps accordingly. He returned to the house each day until he was able to remove the raccoon family from the attic.

 + -1 moreMike was very prompt about coming and removing the mother and two baby raccoons we had in our shed. On the phone he was very honest about what he would be doing, and about price. While two other wildlife removal services quoted me $600 plus, Mike said because they were in a shed, he would remove them for between $100 and $200. As a very humane person I was concerned on how he would be handling them, and he was totally upfront about it- he said he would remove them from the shed and secure the place where they were entering, which he did. He did explain however that if they were removed from the property, they would need to be euthanized as per the law. He released the mother and she fled the property and secured the babies enough so that wouldn't go wandering and get hit by a car or anything, but so that the mother could easily come back for them over the night. We are very happy with Mike's honesty and service and felt he was extremely fair, knowledgable, helpful and prompt. A+!

He did the job and he made us happy. He said he would come back and he was on time when he came back. He was terrific for an animal trapper. He was responsive.

 + 0 moreHe is still in the trapping process at my mother-in-law's house. He has always told us when the process is done and he is always been right. I don't know anyone else around that has his skill set. If fact, I originally received Mike's name from another pest control company that really didn't want our job and gave me an outrageous estimate (because I had SO many raccoons - and they primarily were for exterminating bugs and mice). I had couple of friends use Mike for unsual situations (raccoons making a home in a chimney, and another had a sickly raccoon under their porch) and they too, were satisfied with his work and the price. Mike is pleasant and honest and doesn't mind explaining the whole process to his customers. If an animal(s) is causing a probem - Mike is the one to call!
Description of Work: We used this company for many, many years. We live in the woods and we periodically develop an overpopulation of raccoons that are destructive and dangerous. They come right up to the house (we can see them peering through our patio doors), rip apart plastic garbage cans, wash up in our swimming pool, and come close to us and our pets. Mike (the owner) was the ONLY service that gave us a VERY reasonable price for removing many raccoons that took multiple visits to our property. This last time, Mike had to go to my mother-in-law's house (who has been gone for the winter) because the neighbors saw that a raccoon chewed a hole in her roof. He climbed onto the second floor roof, set a hidden trap and is going to be checking it everyday and resetting it until he is sure that any and all raccoons are out of the attic so we can go ahead and have the roof repaired. He is taking care of the whole trapping thing - he always does - so I don't have to get involved. He also said he will set us up with a company that knows how to safely clean raccoon feces and urine in the attic if we need it. He uses humane procedures but he is very considerate to people like me who find this whole process rather upsetting. Raccoons are extremely dangerous, especially if they are protecting their young, and you need someone who knows what they are doing - without question! Mike has the skills and a fair price - and he is very dependable.

 + -1 moreAfter calling a few wildlife pest removal services, we decided on Nuisance Wildlife Control based on the good vibes we got from Michael Caggiano, the owner. Michael came to our house promptly, and is friendly, courteous, experienced and highly professional. Once we described the problem, he set up the humane traps, and came daily to inspect the traps, remove the raccoons that were caught, and leave new traps to catch the remaining raccoons. We will definitely use Nuisance Wildlife Control for any and all future problems of this kind. Their service is highly recommended.
