Triangle' s employee touched the live wires with his screwdriver. Sparks were flying and his screwdriver melted. He quickly gathered his tools up and shut off my 220 service and left me with less 110 service than before he arrived. This all happened when the temperature hit 100 degrees. Con Edison workers came and got my service up 3 days later but could not repair the damage to my circuit box. I had to get my electrician to replace the box and submit a claim to Con Edison. It now 6 months later and I still haven't gotten my money . Con Edison won't pay me until they get paid from Triangle. Con Edison told me that were trying to reach Triangle. Guess they still can not reach them because I still have not been reimbursed.. This company should not be in business they should lose their license.
Description of Work: While Con Edison was on strike so they sent a contractor, Triangle Electric to evaluate the problem, get me up on my 110 service and shut off the 220 service. The person they sent, touched the live wires and melted the screws to my circuit box.

Danny at Triangle Electric was recommended by a neighbor. He responded promptly to our first call, came to assess our need and rendered a reasonable quote. We liked him. He was friendly and energetic and seemed interested in the job. Then he became scarce. For over two months we tried to make appointments to get the job done. This week after countless calls and promises, we gave up in frustration when he failed to keep our latest firm date or to answer our calls. This week's missed appointment was especially disturbing because we had explained to him that electric work needed to be performed before our general contractor could move forward and Danny's absence was holding up our entire renovation schedule. When he went missing on the day of our appointment, we finally cut our losses and found another electrician who arrived within hours of our call and performed the work. The F grade reflects broken promises and bad faith. We have no idea of the level of competence in performing the work, but we do know that unresponsiveness is unprofessional. The ethical thing would have been to admit being overbooked rather than string along a customer. This experience has added an unnecessary level of difficulty to our recovery from Hurricane Sandy.
Description of Work: In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, we needed to have the basement rewired because all of the wires, outlets and fixtures had been under seawater. In addition we needed some electrical updates in the living area of the house.

Danny Sarantonio, the head of Triangle Electric, was very helpful in explaining to me what had to be done in order to resolve an electrical issue related to Con Edison's duct/wires which provided electrical service to our building. Mr. Sarantonio is an expert on NYC electrical codes and is experienced with doing work for Con Edison. This was electrical work which dealt with the highest voltages coming into our building, and I felt confident that he would do a good job, since he was recommended by others and was so knowledgable and experienced. In fact, the work was done on time, efficiently and well, and I was pleased with the result. Moreover, Mr. Sarantonio and his crew were very pleasant to deal with. My experience with them was definitely the best experience I have ever had with an electrical company, and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Triangle Electric repaired and replaced Con Edison duct/wires entering our building and relocated our electrical end box according to Con Edison's specifications.
