The locksmith shows up an hour late makes a huge mess and charges me $250 (The charge was $350, I'm subtracting the $100 for the cost of the lock) for one hour's work. I was dissatisfied so I Left a Google review detailing my experience. Instead of trying to fix the situation he accused me of having the wrong company claiming he never went to my house. I checked my records and saw I indeed had the right man and I called him up and he admitted it but refused to take his reply down. He is not only poor at his craft he is dishonest and dishonorable do not trust him with your business!

He performed all the work in about an hour, flawlessly. All three locksets, six months later, are working better than they ever have. One should be aware that Mr. Irwin's business is listed as "A-Northern Dutchess" in the phone book, but his display ad shows the business as "Northern Dutchess Locksmith" and his invoices say "Northern Dutchess Lock Supply." Whatever the name of the business, Mr. Irwin does excellent work.
Description of Work: I hired Mr. Irwin a second time to replace one entry lockset and key it to the household master, and to lubricate two other balky entry locksets.

Everything went very smoothly. Mr. Irwin showed up when he said he was going to and within an hour had the lock functioning again. He even rotated the lock mechanism so that the teeth of the key would be up instead of down. His basic field service fee was $60 plus parts. Not as cheap as do-it-yourself, but he had the expertise.
Description of Work: Mr. Irwin repaired a door lock that had started to make the door unopenable.
