Did not show up. Received no call from company. If they could not do that, I certainly do not have confidence in them performing the job.

After buying a house with roof leaks, we wanted them fixed immediately by someone with slate experience. Mik was very easy to get in touch with, professional, punctual and did what he said. The experience was so smooth, we plan on using the firm for a repointing job later this summer.

Mik , the owner is very cooperative and does his best to please his customers. Is always reachable and does the job as per the agreement. His bricklayer was highly skilled and overall the job is to my satisfaction. Left the work area clean and broom swept. Would recommend.

He inspected the site and gave us a written estimate detailing the work and the total cost. He asked me if I had a ladder for him to go up on the roof, which I didn't. He asked me if I wanted a written estimate or an oral one, I wanted it written. Ultimately I did not use this company and selected a company who was able to complete the work within the next few days as opposed to the next week or two.

Did a great job in a short amount of time. Mik, his brother Paul and their team were very professional. The time they took to do the job was quicker than I thought it would be. Cleaned up nicely as well. Will definitely hire again and recommend their services.

I am extremely satisfied with Milestone Restoration's work, and I have already recommended them to friends & family. If all contractors were like Milestone Restoration, there would be no need for Angie's List. I will absolutely use them again for future jobs.

THESE GUYS ARE TOP NOTCH!!! Professional from the first contact, to the first meeting/walk through, to the first day of work, through the whole project, to the day they loaded up their van and pulled off. They delivered what was promised. Mr. Singh is very professional, no nonsense but pleasant. He provided his professional advice and we conferred on what I wanted and was hoping to achieve in this brownstone restoration job. His advice was point on . . . down to the color paint for the iron banister and stairs. His crew was very respectful and hard working. They cleaned up beautifully, and then some. It was a pleasure to have this crew working on my house. AND RESULTS???!!! OMG my house is now the best looking brownstone on the block!!!! I'm serious. Milestone restored my brownstone and I am in love with the results!!! People slow down as they drive by now!!!! I intend to hire them again in the future to wash down the bricks once my entire restoration is completed. I highly recommend this business, they are worth every penny - indeed, I got more than I paid for.

Mik and his team did a fantastic job and my wife and I couldn't be happier. From the initial conversation with Mik, through the free estimate and four-day job, I was very pleased with everything. Mik was very careful to listen upfront to what we wanted and ask questions if he needed clarification or a better answer from us (as we were exactly sure what we were able to do); in this way, Mik did a great job helping us understand our options, and limitations. He presented his view of the best options and worked with us to make a decision; he was only going to be happy if we were happy. After agreeing to the estimate, Mik was very flexible in scheduling the work and having his team there on time and for the full day. Mik was there 100% of the time and my visits during the four days of work never found them not working. I think they're a diligent group. They didn't see my visits as overbearing and were happy to update me each time I called or personally dropped by. The work itself was done exactly to spec and the couple of speedbumps we encountered were handled without any real issue. Mik is communicative, honest, straightforward and - I think - a good person. What my wife and I especially appreciated is the TLC that Mik and his team put into the job. They treated the job like it was their apartment, and took extra steps (that I didn't expect) to make sure no harm came to our furnishings, for example, during the job. They cleaned up extremely well at the end of each day, worked well with my superintendent, and at no point gave me cause for concern. In my renovation work, I have generally found contractors to be hit or miss. In this case, it's was a complete hit. I really would have no hesitation to recommend Mik and his team at Milestone Construction.

A flat section of roof over kitchen has been a chronic problem for leaks for more than two years. I used several contractors to do complete resurfacing of roof and spot repairs but one area continued to leak through kitchen ceiling. After reading Mik's positive reviews on Angie's List and his expertise in clearing leaks I called him to take look at my roof. Mik arrived a few days later and was able to identify several problem areas in roof that could cause leaks. He was professional and offered a fair price to install new rubber roof, flash it, and replace a dozen defective slate tiles on adjoining sloped Kitchen roof. The job was scheduled for a week out but Mik was later on able to move job up two days. He stood in touch by phone to to keep me updated on any changes on arrival time. Mik and his partner completed the job in one day. I was pleased by the workmanship and finished product. I did have one small followup problem a day later but Mik quickly returned and made the correction. It has rained several times and thus far I have not had any more leaks. Given the roof's history it may be too early to judge but so far I'm very pleased with outcome. I would recommend Mik and his company to anyone. Thank you.

I usually don't write reviews, but felt the need to let others know of the excellent service that was provided. Mik, the owner always answered the phone and if I left a message always called back within the hour. He was quick to come by and gave a very fair estimate for the work to be provided. On the day he and his crew came to work, they went above and beyond with the service provided taking care of a few extra minor things and did not charge extra from the original estimate. The crew took their time with every detail but were very efficient. The work entailed replacing missing and broken slate shingles, reflashing all the peaks and corners and repairing a 4 foot stress crack in one of the brick walls along the house. When you look at a house, you can usually tell when brick work has been done because of the different color bricks and mortar. Here, the crack and several bricks were replaced and you can't even tell where the work was done unless it's pointed out! Mik is great and he does top notch work and have no reservations in recommending him as his price and service are a great value. I will be using him to do some more repointing in a few months, work well earned by doing a great job the first time around.

I will use him again because Mik is a very smart and capable men. He is very easy to comunitcate with and he is very eager to please his customers. Their work is very fast and he is very honest. All his crew was pleasant and respectful. He is at the site working with his men and works fast an efficiently. The reason I gave him a B (good) is because you have to be a little on top of him. We had agreed that he was going to caulk the windows, but I had to ask him if he had. His answer was that "the windows did not need caulking." I told him to do it any way and he did. He was pleasant about it. Also, we had agreed that he would replace all bricks that were damaged, but he did not change any bricks at all. He said the bricks in my house where very good quality. My house twas built in 1868. An A "excellent job" would be if broken or chipped bricks would be replaced not fixed. There was also a side of my building where there was a gap with our neighbors building. He could not point that side since the gap was too wide, but he did not discussed that with me until I pointed that out to him at the end of the job. The matter was not really solved. I think it will be OK, but I felt that should have been discussed when he found the problem not at the end when his men were done. You do get a good job for the money, but again, you need to keep an eye on the job. I do not think I have a leak any more but I am sure that if I do, he will come back to fix it. His roof work was good. I got bids from 5 contractors. He was not the cheaper one, but not the most expensive either. He did something great: he was caulking the windows but only had white caulk. My windows are black. He asked me if it was OK to use white caulking since the work was at the back of the house. When he saw that I was not happy with the idea, he personally went to the store and bought black caulking.

On 4-18-2013 I called Mik to come over and look at the work I needed done. He came the next day, after work and i went over the job with him. I showed him the roof and some damage which was done from the bad storm we had last year(super storm sandy). He checked over the roof and informed me that it was a total rip off, for the roof already had 3 or 4 layers of shingles on it, and it should be all removed. I agreed with him. I also showed him some cracks in the back wall of my house which needed to be opened and re-pointed. He informed me that they were not bad, and a easy fix. I also wanted the wall repainted-and Mik suggested a different color other than white, for white shows the dirt to fast. He showed me different colors (which I never knew they came in). I picked a nice sand color, and also a brown color for the roof of my garage. On 4-26-13 Mik and his team showed up to my house-on time and started the work. They had the whole roof off in a half a day, and the new roof on by the end of the day. On the first day the also opened up the cracks on the wall and filled them in, so the could dry overnight and start the painting the next day.On 4-27-13, Mik and his worker showed up and painted the wall with no problem. My house is attached, and i informed him to please be very careful of my neighbors home, and they were with no problems. MIK IS A GREAT GUY. His workers are very nice and I had no problems at all. These guys know what they are doing and they do it well. What I really liked was they cleaned up the place , and I had no mess at all. I would use these guys again . I feel the job was done right, and the price fit the work that needed to be done.

After experiencing water damage in the rear of my home I contacted a couple of contractors prior to contacting Milestone Restoration and each gave me an overall assessment of what will be done and the cost. However, when Mik from Milestone came to review the scope of work, he gave a very detailed description of the work he would be doing and the materials he planned on using. He took more time describing the job than the other contractors. Because of his presentation, I mentioned that there were also repairs to be done in the front of the house, but I was concerned about cost. He suggested that I wait until the rear work was completed and if I was pleased with the outcome we can then focus on the front of the home. That's exactly what was done. The project started on 2/21 and was fully completed on 3/2. Bad weather and my availability delayed the job. Mik supervised all aspects of the job and actively participated in it as well. Everyone was punctual, worked hard and was professional thruout the job.

Milestone Restoration was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. We needed to clean the green algae-like stuff and soot on our historic Cobble Hill brownstone to prepare for putting it on the market. We contacted three contractors for estimates. One said pressure washing (even at the gentlest setting) would damage the facade, so we should leave it alone. Another recommended that we thoroseal the whole facade - which was exhorbitant and unnecessary - and became unavailable when we said we just wanted to clean it. Nick from Milestone, in contrast, came the day after I called, gave an entirely reasonable cleaning estimate $1000 less than the unavailable contractor, and booked us for exactly when we needed the work. The result was perfect: the facade was sparkling and entirely undamaged. He clearly knew what he was talking about. I highly recommend!!!! Thanks Nick!

Everything went great. mik and his crew showed up on time and finished the work when they said they would. mik is extremely knowledgable and very friendly. he knew from the start what the problem was and he solved my issue which is a big relief because i have had this problem for 2 years now and paid over 8,000 dollars to 2 other contractors who did work that never solved my problem. mik is very honest and straightforward and a total pleasure to deal with. i have never before dealt with a contractor as wonderful and as honest as mik. i would use mik again and i would reccomend him to anyone and everyone. a true professional who knows his job inside and out. thank you very much mik. you are the best.

Showed up on time for the estimate for a leaky roof, gave me pricing on just what I needed and did not try to oversell. After I decided I wanted to replace the entire roof he let me know the day of that replacing the entire roof would be unnecessary -- he could have just completed what I asked and not said a thing, but he didn't. I will definitely be using Milestone Restoration Inc. again.

I had a leak in my kitchen which was coming from the outside. I had the wall pointed by another company last year which did not stop the leak. I called in Milestone Restoration to take a look for me. I was not sure if the leak was coming from the roof or the wall. Mik came on December 28th to look at my roof and wall. He told me the leak was coming from my neighbor's side. It is a semi attached house with the problem in the common wall. He took pictures of the roof to show me the condition of the roof and the gutters. The roof was in good shape. The gutters needed cleaning otherwise they were in good condition also. My neighbor agreed to the work and we set a date. I was surprised that he would do the work on New Year's Day and was happy to get the problem fixed as quickly as possible. Mik and his partner showed up early and ready to work. They were very professional, diligent and explained everything that was being done. They even pointed a section that the original contractor missed.

The workers came on time, had all equipment needed, began work immediately and were finished in a couple of hours. They were professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and they cleaned up after they were finished. Highly recommend them.

The four man crew had to grind out a lot of the cement pointing and it was a very dirty job. They were highly detail oriented workers and very pleasant to talk to. Anywhere they found cracks they repaired them even when it wasn't called out on the quote. The original quote was very accurate which I had confirmed by an independent consultant. I brought in the consultant because I had two widely different quotes (one very much higher.) It was evident to me this company is concerned about how their work looks at the end and how much they can improve the value of the property they work on. They are very conscientious. The owner works right along with them. I highly recommend them for their masonry repair work.

Milestone Restoration fixed another job that a different roofer had botched. He also came over, during the gale force winds to work on my gutter that had been damaged from a nor'easter and hurricane. He replaced the aluminum covering of one of my house frames that had blown off, as a gesture of good will. What a lovely worker.

The front wall was bulging, and was a danger to fall. The engineer gave us the report and the contractor followed the report. Which I liked. The front wall had to be tied back together with the building, it was in danger of falling. The contractor did great in his job of repairing the wall. Once he did the wall, he focused on the roof. Him and his team fixed the flashing system on the roof. He tared my roof again. The job him and his team did was great. I would always go back to his company again for all my house needs.

I had a terrific experience from start to finish with Mr.Paul singh. Mr. singh and his crew first arrived on wednesday morning after hurricane sandy bright and early ready to begin the job. I unfortunately was unavailable. I contacted mr.singh thursday, at which time he informed me he'd be back the next day. Friday morning Mr.Singh and crew arrived diligently at 8 a.m. and began to work. For the next 3 days they promptly arrived by 8am and worked with profressionalism. Mr.Singh was present and on site each day and all day. beautiful and satisfactory job performed. Job was completed on monday. I highly recommend Milestone Restoration, so much that I plan for them to return in the spring to cement my backyard !!

We moved into our first home and discovered an array of roofing issues were missed during the inspection process. We called around and found Mik, He was very responsive and quickly identified the problem. He was very honest about what could be repaired vs replaced and gave us a fair price. We set a date to begin work later in the week. Two days before the scheduled start date the weather reports called for rain. Mik immediately called and said we should reschedule now instead of waiting until the day of. I appreciated the advanced notice and rescheduled for the following day. The crew showed up on time and ready to work.The job was done quickly and without incident. When it was time to pay the bill I handed Mik the full contract amount without realizing that my fiancee put down a deposit. Mik handed me back the overage and advised me of the mistake. I appreciated his honesty - I would have never heard the end of it. We just survived Hurricane Sandy without any leaks. A few of the shingles didn't make it but we're leak free. Mik and crew were polite and professional. I would definitely use them again.
