The Chimney Dr LLC

I had no heat for over 24 hours, the temperature had dropped below 60 F. It was in the 30's outside. I called my usual service people, as well as other plumbers but no one was available for at least another day. It was freezing, and I was not well. I had no one else to call, so I called Dakota who was supposed to come soon to clean my chimney. I asked if she was a plumber, or if she knew one. She is not a licensed plumber, but she said her family was very pleased with their local plumber. She offered to call them, which she did, and then called me back. Not only that, but then she offered to call the company (Skinner Plumbing & Heating) on my behalf to see if she could get them to help me. Next thing I knew, I got a call from Bobby who said two men would be there after they finished with their current job, in about 2 1/2 hours. It would be dark out by then, and even colder, but it was sooner than I could have expected from any other company. However, about a half hour later, two men from Skinner showed up having finished their prior job early. I was delighted with their work and made a report for them. However, if it hadn't been for Dakota Springfields, the Chimney Dr., I never would have known about them. Dakota did this as a favor to a past customer, out of the goodness of her heart, as she did not stand to make any money from me from this referral. She not only got the information for me, she went a step further and CALLED THEM for me because they knew her. Not many professionals would go that extra mile, but she did, and that is why I made this report.

In 2005, The chimney dr llc inspected my chimney and recommended to install 25 feet of stainless steel liner. The company did the work and gave me life time guarantee certificate on it. Today I had another company Top Sweep, Inc, attempting sweeping of chimney. They opened everything in front of me and showed and explained everything what happened. The pipe from furnace were liner was installed had a bend, the chimney doctor llc person could not overcome the bend, so he just cut the liner inside without ever connecting it at the bottom with connection tee. Basically, he just created an obstruction in the chimney. The old liner was pulled out it proximal end was all burned and my house was in danger of fire all this time. I took pictures of everything. Had everything re done by Top Sweeper, Inc guys. They worked hard for 3 hours and billed me 2100$. I paid chimney dr 1325$ in 2005-obviously it was a waist. Never hire The Chimney Dr, LLC. They are an all female company. They price was on the mark. They did good work. They are listed with CSIA.org, which is the Chimney Sweeps of America. They are very efficient. What I liked about them most is that they are very knowledgable and detail oriented. I also appreciated the detailed written contract that was provided. Their was a dead bird in one of the chimney pipes, she first sent down a camera to capture everything that was going on in the pipes. Then, she actually showed me everything that was taken out of the pipes, it was nice that she showed me proof of what she was saying the problem was. She was having car problems the morning of our appointment and called to let me know that she would be late, which I really appreciated.
